Two Friends Of Different Races Can’t Stop Roasting Each Other On Twitter, Make People Question If It’s Racism Or Not

Each generation has or will experience events that cause division among us; perhaps it is human nature. As individuals, we decide how we choose to navigate our differences whether it is politics, gender, nationality or race. Social media has provided a platform for people to voice their thoughts and opinions on that which divides us. This can lead to hateful rhetoric, but when social media is used for good causes and funny jokes it can bring us together in the best ways.

Twitter users @TheParacelsus and @jmemc10 went viral when they chose to go a different route with their racism ‘opinions’ on social media. The two began throwing the best roasts at each other, filled with racial one-liners, but both saw the exchange as lighthearted comedy. Some Twitter users thought the one-line jokes were offensive and crossed the line of humor into racist, while others thought the punchlines showed a healing moment of two strangers bonding through humor. Bored Panda has the whole thread below along with the funny Twitter reactions. What do you think?

Funny how the first guy was just stating"facts" according to those girls lol just two blokes having a laugh. European humor is dark af. Americans can't handle it.

I'm American and I found it hilarious. I have a dark/sarcastic sense of humor anyway.

Wow, to me they were having fun at each others expense. How can one be stating facts while the other is being racist? People need to learn how to laugh and stop taking everything so damn seriously. I thought their back and forth was funny.

Plus, the other guy didn't really "just state facts" either. Some people are so... I can't even find the proper adjective.

The first poster was "fact" and the other was just racist? It's like people think that if you make fun of white people because they're white it's not racist. I don't understand how people think that there is difference. Maybe it just comes down to the fact that the people who responded to that thread had a victim mentality.

the definition of racism does not specify who it can or can't apply to. anyone can be racist and both of them were being racist, but in a humorous way. It was a lighthearted, slightly inappropriate twitter war.
