So, this is me, a 44-year-old starting anew and finally giving into the things she loves to do. I recently took the jump to quit work and do something I’m passionate about… For the last couple of months I’ve spent every day drawing, I have no money to eat but I’m fantastically happy!
My work is pen and ink on Bristol board, I’m slightly obsessive about symmetry and asymmetry and the juxtaposition of light and dark. So, most of the imagery is in black and white with the odd dash of gold or silver if I’m feeling cheeky.
Small works take around 3 hours with my largest to date (an epic A2 mandala extravaganza) taking 2 weeks and large amounts of caffeine to complete. I am spending time creating content with the aim of setting up an online shop by Christmas.
