I Followed My Grandparents’ Footsteps By Travelling To The Same Places
Armed with my grandfather’s travel photographs, and my grandmother’s journals, I’ve spent the last three years roaming the United States in search of the exact locations where my grandparents once stood.
Here are many of my favorites so far. For more photos, visit my website.

Share on FacebookWhat a wonderful idea, I can't believe so many of the places look almost exactly the same.
I like the project, but most importantly I like the pictures from past. Your Grandfather was a great photographer and going in his steps it must be adventurous and amazing experience.
Really amazing for not only the photographs but the cool journey you went on. Clicking on the link and reading your gradmother's journal excerpts below each photo brought it all together as her reflections are just as relevant now as they were then. Thank you for sharing your journey!
Thank you for those kind words! :)
Load More Replies...Almost all the places in the pictures (the ones you're holding) stayed the same. Well those fancy cars would make any picture look better of course, but its fascinating to see how some places haven't changed at all.
How things change...I love the photos! All of them! Cant wait to see some more!!
Thank you! Definitely hope you continue to follow along!
Load More Replies...Actually, they did! I'm focusing on the US right now, but hope to do the same in Europe someday. :)
Load More Replies...I see you got crabs, like your grandparents did. I think they have a cure for that now.
Sorry couldn't help myself. Great pics and great project.
