50 Of The Best Posts And Memes To Celebrate The Wild ‘90s, As Shared On This Facebook Page
InterviewNostalgia is a powerful thing, Pandas. It can remind us of the good old days and make us want to go back so badly that we (re)start working on our Time Machine. Take us back to the ‘90s! Please!
Depending on whom you ask, the ‘90s were a simpler time. A better time! It might be the rose-tinted glasses warping our view, but there’s a very deep longing for that sweet, sweet decade. The ‘Flashback 90s’ Facebook page is a celebration of all things related to the ‘90s, and we’re here to share the bittersweet pics with all of you Pandas.
Scroll down, upvote your fave pics, and tell us all about what you miss about the ‘90s the most. Do we have any Pandas in the crowd tonight who miss another decade entirely? Tell us all about why they were even better in the comments.
Bored Panda got in touch with Danny, the founder of the 'Flashback 90s' Facebook page, and they were kind enough to answer our questions about the inspiration behind the project and shared their thoughts on nostalgia. Read on for the full exclusive interview about "simpler but unforgettable" times when technology wasn't as advanced, but we were all far more connected.

This girl gets it! That is something I never even thought about. So glad awesome people like her do think about stuff like this.
Some commercials would trigger too many people these days. The salt could rival that of the dead sea.
Load More Replies...If I'm paying for a streaming service, I don't want to see commercials.
I meant to reply not vote. Anyway, some commercials are really cool and to see ads from the 1990's could be worth a view.
Load More Replies...It is such a delightful bonus when I find some old TV show on YouTube (old, to me, would be the 60s or 70s) and they've left in the original ads. Bliss!
The best is when you get lucky and find a VHS tape WITH the commercials! Oh a trip down memory lane…
Wait: there are commercials on streaming services? That makes me glad I never subscribed to any.
Danny told us that they founded 'Flashback 90s' all the way back in 2016. It was all done for the sake of entertainment. "I thought to myself, I would like to share memories from my childhood in the '90s, I wonder if other people online can relate to the same things. And that’s how the page started and continued over the years," they shared the inspiration behind the brilliant social media project.
The mastermind behind the Facebook page believes that the '90s were the last memorable decade where technology was advancing rapidly, but we weren't consumed by it yet. Unlike now. Tech used to have a very strong social aspect to it.
I reckon my long term shoulder and elbow problems come from spending hours with my hand hovering over the play and record buttons waiting for my favorite songs to come on the radio...
And when the DJ would cut the end of the song off to talk some nonsense and ruin the recording...super annoying lol
Load More Replies...I still remember one flying through the classroom once in a while when someone was too enthusiastic
I remember using the pen to wind up the cassette when it gets stuck in the player
me being 15 and having a walkman and tons of cassettes: toooootally don’t get this
Someone might have already explained, but a lot of cassettes had a tenancy to unspool. You would have to use a pen or some other similar sized item to stick into the hole to wind the tape back up, hence the naughty reference.
Load More Replies...ahhhh....hahaha.....haha .....Wait, it won't play anymore more? Try again!
I opened the reply, the kid inside me sincerely hoping to read a reply from Macaulay confirming he is here, only to get brain and faceslapped by Kelly Richards. What a downer.
Load More Replies...😱Damn it Macaulay! Not cool! But to be fair earlier today I winced and went "Oh my Sciatica", so I was already feeling old haha
Wanna know what's sad? I got my first sciatica attack at 21, still suffer with it now from time to time; at 25. Like you I'll go "ow my sciatica!" and when that happens it makes me feel so old even though I'm so young ☹😭😢
Load More Replies...OK learning that I'm younger than the home alone dude has literally made my day 🥰
His trolling game is perfection. To be fair, he's been training all his life for it. Well done, Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin!
Lol I've got a sister who's his age too, she turns 42 in September, a month after Macaulay does; I feel you, cause that helps make me feel old as well xD
Load More Replies..."People would tune in to watch the same shows at the same time every night because it was a topic to be discussed with classmates or coworkers the next day. Renting movies was not only about picking a film to watch, it was a way for friends and family to get together on a Friday night. Playing video games on the Nintendo was something new and fun, you could go over to your friends' or family members' homes and play the console for hours!" they shared.
"Waking up every Saturday morning to watch your favorite cartoons and eating a bowl of cereal is unforgettable…. Making a trip to Toys R Us for that new hot toy was always an adventure! Those times were much simpler but unforgettable. We might have camera phones today, and we could record anything we want, but I guarantee you that our nostalgic memories are much more precious. I think that’s why we like to think about the '90s and all those fun moments in life," they shared their honest feelings about their childhood.
I don't get it. Maybe because it didn't look Like this at all where I lived?
Simply that no one was redesigning their homes to suit the nineties mood.
Load More Replies...I actually heard the tone for the first time in years the other day. Was like wtf, who the heck has dial up these days. It was a fax machine.

Real world was the herald of the end, and Liquid television was the bright flicker before the flame went out.
I remember watching it the day it came on the air. It's a completely different network now.
Do you remember the very first video they ever played
Load More Replies...I fondly remember when mtv was nothing but music. I also remember when they first started experimenting with TV shows exclusive to them and thinking they wouldn't make it long term because of it. And here we are, mtv is still around and it sucks more now than ever.
I was there. Teenager with cable tv. MTV was awesome then they played 48 hrs of Beavis and Butthead. That was awesome. Then I don't know what the f happened.
Bored Panda was interested to get Danny's opinion on how they'd compare the '90s to 2022. "Let’s just say, if I could travel back in time, I would definitely go back to the '90s. Yes, in 2022 we have advanced technologically and brought awareness to certain topics, but the '90s will always be greater! When I think of the '90s, I think about the Good Times!"
The ‘Flashback 90s’ social media project documents the coolest, most unique things about the decade. From tech and food to trends and toys, it all really is a major flashback to some of our childhoods and teenage years.

Load More Replies...I was a teenager over 30 years ago. My stereo had a record player and a graphic equaliser.
Growing up my parents kept their old school stereo system they've had from before they even met each other I think. I remember one had a double cassette dock with a record player on top that was for both, 45's and 78's. It was silver, and big, had a bunch of different dials and buttons on it, and it was loud lol I remember that friggin thing booming; it was NICE
Load More Replies...I never had one like that, but I still have my stereo from when I was 9 and IT STILL WORKS!!!!! 26 years and counting!!!
My last full stereo system was a Philips FW-C399. It lasted me until a couple of years ago. :( FW_C399_30...d16766.jpg
I had the one with rainbow light that you could program to move with the music. It was radical
I still have mine. Bought in 1988. Still works well. It's now "Vintage".
Over 279k people love the Facebook page, and it’s easy to see why. It’s comforting to take a peek into the lives we had, the stuff we used to enjoy. And it can be a great way to escape our current problems. Even if it’s just for a few minutes.
A while back, Bored Panda analyzed nostalgia and the role it plays in our lives during a couple of interviews with Kemi Omijeh, a child and adolescent therapist based in London and a member of the BACP.
She explained that our memories of the past can contribute to our sense of self and well-being. Though, not all the time.
Even more so once you upgraded from an x86 chip to a Pentium!
Load More Replies...I'd forgotten all about those! Had an immediate vision of them in my mind, though.

Load More Replies..."The period of time we tend to be nostalgic over are significant moments that stood out. Perhaps it was a time when we felt happiest or safest, or perhaps it’s a period where things changed for us,” she said.
The actual decade (or shorter time period) we’re nostalgic for doesn’t actually matter. What does, however, is what the era means to us. "Our memories of the past can change over time depending on how often we revisit and also depending on what is going on for us in the present,” the therapist said.
Still do, I enjoy a Jolly Rancher now and then and a sliver of plastic always gets left behind. I still eat it, I just pull the little plastic bit out when I feel it in my mouth. It comes free when the candy gets small enough.
A candy called, Now and Later. Sometimes it was hard as a rock to eat. The wrapper would stick to eat it when you unwrapped it.
Load More Replies...This isn't even the color TEAL, it's TURQUOISE. Teal is a bluish green color. Look in your 64 color Crayola box!
Can confirm my first car in the 90s was teal. I called him Sparky. Sparky got stolen and fire bombed, RIP Sparky 🥺
me too. it was kind of neat. now everything is gray, black, or white. cars, homes, clothes, stores...etc.
Load More Replies...This is turquoise, not teal. Teal is deeper, darker, greener. Named after the bird.
I wouldn’t call it turquoise. Turquoise is more blue- like the stone Turquoise. I think the above is Teal.

Load More Replies...The 90s? That's my ceiling right now! I've got entire galaxies up there! It's great for when visitors come over in the evening and I tell everyone to look up and switch off the lights.
I'm 57 and I have a bag of these things waiting to go up. Because they're awesome!
I have the same thing on my wall (ceiling is too high to reach). I even have an astronaut and a spaceship
“Of course, the '90s was better! But then again, I may be being very biased here,” Kemi told Bored Panda that who we were during a certain time period influences our perception of it later on in life.
"Generally speaking, the better decade is associated with youth and freedom. Nostalgia also often gives us rose-tinted glasses from which to reflect from. How we reflect on the past decades can play a part in how we engage with the current decade.”
These things were ridiculously expensive, and the picture quality was terrible.
Yeah, we had one when I was a kid. You had to position yourself to sit looking straight at it to get a clear picture. If you sat off to the left or right the picture got blurry and discolored.

My dad got a wild hair up his a*s back when this is what you got if you wanted a big screen tv and went to best buy and bought the biggest Sony tv they had in stock. I don't remember the exact cost but it was several thousand. It lasted up until plasma tvs made it to market. It was still working the day he brought home his first flat screen. he ended up giving the projection tv to a neighbor down the street and they ended up using it for a while longer until the bulb finally gave out.
We had one (thicker though), one of our first very expensive purchases. Lasted about 8 years and I figured it cost us a dollar a day, so in the end, not to bad at all.

Listen to music from the 90's, you're welcome. Signed, an old millennial.
Load More Replies...I've been hearing that in 1999. Someone in class said they heard Nirvana being played on the oldies station. That being said, no one asked what he was doing listening to the oldies since that was social taboo according to everyone in my class.
Load More Replies...I've been finding music to enjoy in every decade. There's some music I used to love to no end that I just can't stomach to hear anymore, and there's music now that is absolutely amazing that I might not like in 10 years.
I'm 40, and I asked my nephews what people in Highschool listen to. He named the top 10 artists of today and then Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Metallica... Not sure how I feel about that. They also didn't know Ice Cube rapped...
The psychologist believes that our childhoods form the foundation of who we are as adults. We frequently revisit our childhoods, and they influence our present. However, we’re usually only nostalgic for the time when we were kids if we actually had good childhoods and felt loved, nurtured.
"If we’ve had a difficult childhood, it can be hard to feel nostalgic, instead it will feel like something we need to get over in order to move on," the therapist explained to Bored Panda.
Gosh, I had one of these in my pocket when riding my bike pretty fast. It flew out of my pocket into the asphalt and broke into 3 pieces. I picked it up, put it back togheter and went home. The next months I loudly complained about the little dent the asphalt had made in the top corner of the case. (My latest phone screen broke when I droped it from the sofa)

My left over hippie substitute teacher from the 60's played HAIR for us. I snuck a peak at her during the movie and she was way in back lipsyncing in absolute silence with tears rolling down her eyes. I will never forget.
first time we had a TV roll into the classroom , the teacher wanted us to hear the President speak. That's the day Reagan got shot. we were horrified.
One day i was in wood shop when the teacher stopped the class.so we could watch the space shuttle launch (the challenger) well everyone knows how that ends
Load More Replies...Always got excited when I walked into the classroom and this was out
Had a teacher in highschool that was a pastor of a pentacostal church. He dressed like a straight up pimp with his fine suits and gator shoes. He'd bring the TV in when he needed to "handle business".
Wow ours used those damn big a*s film strips two of them on that damn projector reel ughg
"Nostalgia can also be a good coping strategy for times of low mood and challenges," the expert said. However, she warned that it might be worrisome if it becomes a hindrance in our day-to-day lives and prevents us from being present.
But I don't want to be a pie. I don't like gravy. 🐔👒
Load More Replies...How is this 'back in the day'? Is bored panda only for teens now? I raised my kids on videotapes and they're still in high school! Yes I was taking advantage of an old player and $2 tapes at the thrift store, but still.
I counted the movies shown in the picture, had 14 of em while I was growing up. Was born in 1997

Hardly old-school though! Late 90s early 00s at best. The things we had in the 70s and 80s needed a camera crew! You had to fit a VHS tape in them! Imagine finding one of those in Mum's room!
I found one in my parents' room and back then I didn't know what it was used to record so I tried to play it, but thank God the batteries were dead
Now i walk with a camera in my pocket all day and look stupid taking video

Well good. If the young generation wouldn't take that kind of s**t from others then it means that they've smartened up.
My middle school kid was sort of swatted on IM. Some other kid sent a prank message that we, her parents, had been murdered outside. We lived on a wooded private road. She was too scared to actually go out and check; she just couldn't find us in the house. We were outside measuring for a new driveway and the cops showed up.
Omfg that s**t right there is real truth cause AOL chatrooms were no joke 🤣🤣🤣
Gen Z gets to deal with mass shootings in their schools, so f**k this comment
Sadly it's been happening since gen z were in diapers. I'm 31 now and remember having active shooter drills in high school right after the Virginia Tech massacre. Only getting worse for todays youth :(

Wasn't Tom and Jerry actually friends, but Tom had to pretend to hate Jerry so Tom's owner wouldn't replace him with another cat that'll actually want to kill Jerry

My favorite was the steriods episode. Made such an impression that I never tried it
They're gone! They are all gone! 😭 RIP Golden Girls. Thanks for being a friend... Travel down the road and back again, your heart is.... OK I'll stop now haha
I think this is part of why I love the seniors. I was little watching this with my babysitter (also a senior) and thought wow I have so much to learn from them. And yeah I'm gonna roll my shoulder-padded jacket sleeves up too
Load More Replies...Meanwhile, if you find yourself daydreaming too much, you should start off by trying to identify your patterns. “Think about the times you usually daydream, is there something about that situation or those times that mean you’re daydreaming? Do something about it if that is the case. Set a time limit, use a timer if it ensures you stop," she said.
“Turn your daydream into a visualization or goal exercise. Your daydreams could be a communication about your innermost desires. Could you begin to plan how to achieve those desires?"

Load More Replies...Pssst, Pandas, here’s a small public service announcement if any of you have ever had trouble writing out the nineties in number form: it’s written as either the 1990s or the ‘90s with the apostrophe in front. However, if you’re talking about a person who’s in their nineties, then you’d write it as someone being in their 90’s. So yeah, you’re nostalgic for the ‘90s, not the 90s or 90’s (or, God forbid, the 90s’).
That's for wimps, I had the original ones with nylon string and solid acrylic balls. That'd break a thumb or wrist 2022-06-05...806bb8.jpg

I still watch DVD, they are free at the library, I've saved thousands of $$$.
You're missing Granddad, the 5 1/4 floppy disk. And before that, tape spools the size of dinner plates.
I've lost home videos from that. Same with USB sticks and cards.

Just wished more of some of my favorite shows would be released on dvd. Would like for some netflix movies to be released on dvd too, like Rescued By Ruby, both Christmas Chronicles and Hubie Halloween, still waiting for the 4th season of Cobra Kai to be released on dvd as well. One other show I had been begging for on dvd is Tacoma FD.

Unpopular opinion but I preferred 80s cartoons, or early 90s. TMNT was my go-to, Ducktales too. I struggled to watch a lot of later 90s Nick stuff. Dexter was ok, and Rugrats was good, I enjoyed Arnold too... but there were so many duds imo. I didn't really enjoy Courage or Rocko's that much and I couldn't STAND the show Codename: Kids Next Door. I found it practically unwatchable. I mean none of them were bad, they just were more weird than funny. I only started watching cartoons again when Spongebob came out and the next era after that started to get really funny. Spongebob felt like my humor style was coming back after the Ren and Stimpy style weird/grossout comedy faded away a bit. EDIT: Also, because I struggled to enjoy Nick cartoons I remember watching a LOT of anime in the 90s. Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon etc. That stuff was bomb imo. Actually, looking at the other pic of 90s cartoons with Batman, Xmen, Spiderman on it etc, I liked all those. Maybe it was just 90s Nickelodeon stuff I found weird.
Nothing will ever beat Looney Tunes. Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Tweety and Sylvester…sigh. Those were the days 😊
Seth Mcfarlane still has my respect for writing for Cow and chicken, Johnny Bravo and Dexters Lab. Those cartoons warped my mind good!
You should have been alive in the '70s. The Saturday morning cartoon lineup was unparalleled. Looney Tunes, Pink Panther, Superfriends, Scooby Doo...
This powerpuff remake us terrible in my opinion. The older one is better.
Unmatched? Pfffft. We had looney toons, rocky and bullwinkle show, scooby doo and the rest of hanna barbera Heavens to Mergatroid
Loved this show! It was cancelled by PBS because it lacked "merchandising options"!
Oh my god!!! I loved that show to bad!!!!!!! No one seems to remember it though!!
My favorite show as a kid! Always came on after school along with Arthur and Zoom
Loved it. I've watched a few episodes this year just for nostalgia.

Man, I miss my RAZR! There was nothing more satisfying than snapping that m**o shut with EXTREME attitude when the person you were talking to pissed you off. No way to do an angry hangup these days without destroying your phone.
I watched Ace Ventura at 13, did not get the jokes and thought it stupid and boring. Watched it again 16 years later and fell off the couch laughing
I would also like to point out that Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, The Lion King and The Shawshank Redemption also came out in 1994. This was a STRONG year for blockbusters.
We watched Sonic 1 a couple of nights ago. He was classic Jim Carrey. Absolutely zany.
Load More Replies...And the only good one was The Mask. Here come the downvotes. Somebody stop me! Be honest. You heard that in Jim Carrey's voice in your head, didn't you?
Agreed. I tend to avoid anything he's in. Just too overdone, the same person with a different name/look.

I used to rent Rayman for the PS one and the last thing I rented before it closed, was I Am Number Four :D I was at uni at the time.
There was something special picking a movie to watch and bringing it back
Love this show. I was so excited to start school cuz of it though ms.frizzle would be my teacher
I drive School Bus. I have frizzy hair. I'm planning Ms Frizzle costume for Halloween this year!
so wait, EVERYBODY has a desire to bite into them???? I thought it was just me???
I actually did bite one. It was kinda crumbly inside, silicone maybe? Not proud, only admitting it in case anyone was still curious but managed to resist the temptation 😂.

Late 2010's was when cartoon network started to flop. The earlier shows still running like The Amazing World of Gumball are what make it worth watching, though.
The only good things to me on CN currently is amazing world of gumball, adventure time, and steven universe.
Well yeah the kids get too scared now for bad a*s rough rouge a******s gen x sure produced a bunch of wimps
Almost every 90s sitcom or cartoon house setup still rings in me head like memories that aren't mine. Rachel and Monica's apartment, The Simpsons' Home, Seinfeld's apartment, The Huxtable's, The Banks' Mansion and The Boarding House are just some of the houses I feel if I somehow magically wound up in one, I could navigate them pretty well.
I'm not sure you could. Some of the sitcom houses are physically impossible. They're made out of disconnected sets that could only be connected in a four-dimensional spacial matrix.

Honk if you bought your mother something goose-related for her birthday
This brings memories of seeing all the cement geese on porches. They had seasonal clothing! We'd gone to a flea market style mall and I saw a booth with what I thought were all little girl clothing but, they had a strange shape, turns out it was all outfits for cement geese.
It's unsetteling how much nostalgia can be felt just by seeing some glassware geese
Everything changes once you turn 50. Literally in that year. Beware. Speaking from experience.

Before you knew it there were more hair strands than beads on the dang thing. :) Those beads and those metal buttons on the back of school chairs plucked so much hair from my poor scalp. Quite frankly I don't know how I'm not completely bald. LMBO! Good times!
It was the best when you rolled them. Free soda gets a free soda. Score!
Unfortunately, this is why the game stopped. People would unscrew caps and only buy the winners

My sister & I scored big. Split a Pepsi & won a small black and white TV (early 80's!) We were elated to have a TV in our room!
Funny I was mentioning this to my husband the other day about how simple it used to be, now you gotta scan this download that just to claim a prize ( if any nowadays)
I upvoted your comment cause the downvote you got was stupid

Would you believe, I’m just a chicken sh**t that these shows too scared me
Load More Replies...I have an X-Files tattoo and I am proud I got to watch that show when it was new.
Clarissa Explains It All and yeah it was a show in the 90’s
Load More Replies...I was home sick from school watching The Price is Right the day Bob Barker showed up with his natural white hair instead of it dyed black. It still seems like I witnessed a momentous occasion.
I think I remember Bob saying once that a member of the audience that had seen him in white hair after seeing him the day before with dark hair, and said "Bob, you must have had one hell of a night!" Maybe it's apocryphal, but funny.

Ricky Lake, Jenny Jones, Jonavision (Canadian type of talk show/the host was in Trailer Park Boys as that cringey rapper-wannabe), Montel Williams, Sally Jesse Raphael were my go-tos.
I know someone that went on Judge Joe Brown... she said they ring you and pretend to be sympathetic, and paint JJB like a real impartial judge who will decide on the day so you can plead your case. But when they film they have already decided the outcome and the verdict is all scripted. You defend yourself for nothing-- if they decide you're the 'loser' they edit it all to reflect that. She got called to the show by an ex friend who had lent her a power tool. Before returning it, my friend checked it was working and was in the same state as it was borrowed (I can confirm, I saw it in use) but when she returned it, her friend said it was 'broken' now and wanted inflated damages for a new one, so they sued. In lieu of going to court, they went on the show. The friend broke the tool themselves and lied. My friend couldn't prove the tool was in the same condition as she got it, so she lost. They treated her like a villain and she knew she should have known better and just gone to court, but she believed the production assistants. Also the show pays everything. Dunno if Judy is like that but JJB was.
My go-to thing to watch when I was sick was The Santa Clause for some reason.
Or something I still quote sometimes: "Lie detector test determined ... THAT was a lie." I swear that show made me think lie detector tests were infallible and not mostly bunk.

Oh I loved these!!! I had a little one when I was about 7, but I have no clue what happened to it since.....
Life was still complicated, you were just a kid then so it didn't matter to you.
Yeah, I think the "good old days" were only good because it was easier to keep up with the changes and we didn't have as much responsibility. I was a teen in the 90's and saw the internet bloom. Used to have to have a home computer to access it...but now, I'm on a dang phone doing it...thats something else that evolved..holey crud, I made myself feel old...😩
hahaha an Apple 2e. first box i ever coded on. oh man that triggered some memories. love it
Life sucked. Bullied at school. Scolded at home for not being able to wash the dishes as perfect and fast as my folks wanted. Folks shouting and arguing. Long walks in -30C weather to school and back. Hours and hours of homework every night along with an ill-timed science project having to be done in a week, along with 2 tests and a book needing to be read by tomorrow. My school didn't have a cafeteria, so if you forgot to pack a lunch or you didn't get anything you like to eat you're SOL unless someone was nice enough to trade, or give you their squished American cheese and bologna mayo sandwich.
Same, but back then they were referencing WWE Attitude Era wrestling

Some footballers in Australia recently got in trouble because they were doing that but people thought it was a white supremacy sign or something!
Load More Replies...This got lame really fast in my area. Especially this one loser girl that kept shouting insults at me at the bus stop so loud a group of guys walking by shouted at her to shut up. Then she did that suck it thing to them and they told her to suck this. It was like dodging a train and watching the wreck.
Holy c**p these ladies STILL look amazing! And, yes, is a must-watch at Hallowe'en!
That's about as useful wolverine is gonna get in a fight against magneto.
And now, with the power of the Falcon Ring, I shall fly into this rock music festival without having to pay!
Oh man, the overhead projectors...those things got SO DANG HOT! You could cook your lunch on those things. Ten million candlepower lava maker.
Those scooters were more than likely the reason I have arthritis in my hand from being run over multiple times
We have this movie. It was one of my kid's favourites when we still had the vcr.
Hi, late 2000's child here, I loved it but decided it never existed because no-one remembered it
Bowser was always fun to beat. That first time I made it to him it freaked me out because I didn't know how to hurt him at first being so young. But that lighting flash when you first encounter him and see just that little hovering thing he is in creepy face allowed you to know that s%#! was about to go down!
Ah...back when games were shipped finished. No day 1 8GB patch and microtransactions.
Anyone else had to stop playing after 2 hours or you will "burn out the adapter?"
Was so disappointed when they changed bananas in pyjamas into a cartoon version. It's just not the same.
I remember the whole "gay purple telly tubby" fracas from some politician. Was stupid even then
THIS WAS THE BEST FRIGGIN PIZZA. I miss this. And the school rolls with that weird, tasty buttery c**p, I could live on those. Mmmmm carbzzzzz
Not sure how excited I was about it in 1977, but it looked identical to that picture except it was floating in a pool of grease.
How about the tacos with mystery meat inside a pita with a layer of unidentified white cheese in the bottom. And grease...so much grease.
Friday for us. Sucked when Lent came around and they switched it out for fish

Why is pikachu the same? Why didn't he evolve like the rest of them?
Ash asks him if he wants to evolve on a few occasions, but he always chooses to stay as pikachu.

I do know who they are. But I think I was almost 18 when they were on TV in France and I only happened to watch them because I was bored at home and had nothing else to do...
I think they were mainly in service stations connected to highways/freeways heading toward regional areas.

Zoom came out in the 70s. My mom hated that show and that made me love it even more! I still remember the address..."That's ZOOM! Z-"double O"-M, Box 3-5-0, Boston, Mass, Oh!-Two-One!-Three-Four!!"
Magic School Bus was awesome. I recommend trying to find an episode on YouTube or something and check it out, even as an adult.

There was Frasier, Seinfeld, birth of Starbucks and coffee houses, rent for a 1 bedroom apartment was under $1000 even in Boston & New York….There was Lilith Fair and really amazing women singer-songwriters (Sarah MacLachlan, Tori Amos, Aimee Mann, Bjork, Fiona Apple, Shawn Colvin…) and indie music labels, indie bookstores, indie movies, there was grunge and also excellent R&B. The ‘90s were more than candy and cartoons.
