Meet Up At Sunrise Or Sunset
Do A Park Picnic

Escape An Escape Room
Kind of funny to put yourself in a position of trying to escape the first date activity on a first date.
Go Hiking
Eat Brunch
Miniature Golfing
That is not a picture of miniature golf. But yes, miniature golf is the best thing ever.
Go Kayaking
Visit A Neighborhood You've Never Been To
Try A Food Truck
Visit A Museum
My choice is an art museum because you can learn a lot about someone from how they react to art.
Check Out A Street Or Music Festival
Anything At The Beach
Go On A Scavenger Hunt
Get Breakfast
Sample Treats At A Food Festival
See A Comedy Show
Go Thrift Shopping
Eat Ice Cream
Go On A Photography Walking Tour
Play Arcade Games
Shoot Pool
Hit Up A Coffee Shop
Go Horseback Riding
Go Bowling
What is that bowling alley?! Is it raised? Is it in the middle of some club?
Visit The Zoo
Share Your Favorite Spot
Swap Hobbies
Try Trivia Night (And Win)
Go Ice Skating
Eat At A Diner
Go Axe Throwing
Visit A Tea Room
Check Out A Carnival Or Amusement Park
Take A Wine-Tasting Course
You can assess what they're like when they're drunk. I feel like people whose personalities change dramatically when they're drunk are a red flag.
Bounce Around In A Trampoline Park
Meet At A Bookstore
Try A Swing Dance Class
Visit A Farmers Market
Go Skating
Make It A Movie Night
Movies don't really leave room for a lot of conversation. Basically leaves you in the position of planning something after or before the movie to get to know them.
Check Out A Brewery
Play Ping-Pong
Browse A Record Shop
I keep coming home with records though. Considering I have over 8K vinyl albums... ouch! LOL!
Go Rock Climbing
Go To Pottery Class
Listen To Jazz
Play Laser Tag
Host A Movie/TV Watching
Take A Boat Tour
Sing Karaoke
This is a pretty good test of how comfortable they are at being silly in public. Maybe the most extreme way to test those qualities.
Take An Art Class
Take A Cooking Class
Work On A Puzzle
Attend A Sporting Event
Go To A Concert
I'm not sure this is a great first date idea. It leaves no room to have a conversation. Surely the activity before or after the concert is the real date.
Take A Ferry Ride
In my opinion, first dates should never be somewhere you can't leave from promptly. Nothing worse than getting a series of red flags and having no way to leave.
Visit An Animal Shelter
Create Your Own Culinary Tour
I like the idea, but feeling full and bloated on a first date does not sound appealing.
Volunteer
Try Partner Yoga
Try Sky-Diving
Get A Spa Treatment
Get Each Other A Gift
Take A Meditation Class
Go For A Run
Jesus Christ no. I mean if you're both runners and love it, go for it. But this is a ridiculous pitch for the average person.
Attend A Reading
Again, dates where you have to sit silent are not good dates. The idea is to get to know them.
Decorate A Space
See A Psychic
Check Out Some Open Houses
stupid, for a first date? what's the message I want to marry you in a month?
I was going to say that some of these are pretty random, but then I remembered my husbands idea for our first date was to take me free diving/snorkeling.....Was super nervous about the idea, but turned out to be the best date ever. First time snorkeling and saw seals, sea dragons and all manner of amazing creatures.
My parents like going to a cemetery. My Dad is very sensitive to loud noises so he hates restaurants. And they love looking at the flowers and the peace.
