My name is Katerina. I am a wool artist. I have been helping people keep fond memories of their pets for seven years.

People expect realism from my portraits because it is very important for them to see precisely their pet, so I try to work out the most minor of details to convey every individual trait.

While working on portraits, I often sing mantras. They help me to tune in to successful work and fill me with the necessary creative resource.

I am grateful to the Universe for my talent and the opportunity to give other people a piece of my soul!

I graduated from an art school as a teenager and then got a job as a fashion designer. For many years I worked in a bridal salon where I helped brides create the best wedding look.

After the birth of my second child, I wanted to realize myself in a new art. I began to create paintings from wool. Such paintings are distinguished by warmth, comfort, and originality. While creating various scenes from wool, I realized that this material is very well suited for depicting animals. For a long time, the main characters of my paintings were polar bears, but one day a client asked me to create a portrait of his beloved dog. From that moment, a new stage of my work began.

The process of creating a realistic portrait of a pet is not at all fast. First, I select the best angle of the pet, the appropriate background color, and the design from the received photos, after which I create a digital mock-up of the finished portrait and send it to the client for approval. After the agreement, I purchase the necessary materials and proceed to woolen creativity.

Felting is a process in which loose wool fibers are pierced with a special barbed needle thousands of times until the desired shape or design is achieved.

The creation of a fully finished work takes from 5 to 10 days, depending on the size of the portrait, the quality of the resulting pet photo, and, of course, inspiration.

I put a piece of my soul, a good mood, and good energy into each work. While working on portraits, I often sing mantras. They help me tune in to successful work and fill me with the necessary creative resource.

Of course, clients also feel this, so I am always very pleased to receive warm feedback and sincere gratitude from them. And many of my clients come to me, again and again, to give portraits of their favorite pets to their relatives and friends.

Of course, I want to develop further, so my plans for the future include creating master classes to teach this unique technique, and transferring the accumulated knowledge to interested people, especially since I constantly receive requests for this. I also want to publish my book about woolen creativity, about various techniques and their secrets.

I am grateful to the Universe for my talent and the opportunity to give other people a piece of my warmth. I would like to wish all readers to find a job which is a calling of your life as quickly as possible, so that you can do your work with high quality and with love, filling our world with beauty, good thoughts, and wonderful achievements.
