I Took A Self-Portrait Every Day Of February, 2021, And Here Are The Results (28 Pics)
I am a self-taught Canadian artist. I conceptualized everything, built the set, dressed up (often making my own clothes), took a self-portrait and shared it on my Instagram every day of February. I call it the #SelfieProject which I started a lot of years ago looking for some experience shooting portraits.
Today, supported by Arsenal Contemporary Art Montreal, I keep on pushing the limits of what can be achieved in one month. It is a mix between photography, art installation, performance, and social experiment. Scroll down for the self-portraits from 2021! If you're interested, you can find my newest images on my Instagram!

Day 27 - Selfelevation
I was born an artist! I never knew I was an artist until one of the biggest art collectors in Montreal told me, but it makes sense. Imposter syndrome you know, I still don't feel I fit in the box, but people have told me through my selfie project that I am the truest artist they know because there are no boundaries to what I do.
Day 4 - Selfisolation
Day 10 - Selfantasy
It needs saying, right from the git-go, that you have serious access to stuff. Owned, borrowed, rented... whatever, it's amazing. Brava. 👏
The process is supported by Arsenal Contemporary Art Montreal, and I always go for items I can borrow or buy from a thrift store to both keep a low cost and have a more positive ecological impact!
Load More Replies...I started this project because I was very motivated to shoot portraits one day, and none of my cute friends were available. So I took place in front of the camera, and I loved the process so much (no pressure, full creativity) that I decided to do this for 30 days. And I did.
Day 15 - Selfelectro
Day 23 - Selfartificial Intelligence
The most difficult part of the creative process would be to stay creative and bring an image every day for one month that is strong, visually appealing, with a good message, and that people can understand easily. I enjoy seeing that most often than not, I succeed in doing so!
Day 19 - Selfeight Bit
Day 18 - Selfctrl
I love and I’m grateful for having the liberty to be creative. I am allowing myself a full month where nothing can interfere with my art and that is the biggest gift I can give myself.
Day 22 - Selfillumine
Day 20 - Selfinfluenceuse
Day 1 - Selfheadlines
Reading or watching news about things over which you are able to have absolutely no influence or control is simply not good for a healthy life. Unfortunately, information is more important than before, and there exists no way to know in advance which road to hoe. Thanks to Dr. Weil.
Day 13 Selfreedom
Day 21 - Selfast Food
Day 12 - Selfinancement
Day 17 - Selfhygiene
Day 8 - Selfanalyze
This one is my favourite! I can't say I like it, but it resonates with me!
Day 14 - Selfattraction
Day 16 - Selfimminence
Day 24 - Selfphénomène
Day 3 - Selfaffection
Day 9 - Selfull Circle
Day 28 - Selfemotif
Day 6 - Selfhazmat
Day 11 - Selfintrospection
Day 5 - Selfoutfit Of The Day
Day 7 - Selfessentials
Day 25 - Selfishihara
More information on this one right here : https://selfieproject.ca/selfishihara . It's about daltonism.
Day 26 - Selfhibernation
Day 2 - Selfhomeless
IDK why this one rubs me the wrong way. Homelessness is not glamorous or cute.
