People can be afraid of many things, from darkness to spiders, to you name it. Some of these fears are totally irrational, others come from our childhoods and creep in well into our adult lives. One of such bizarre fears is megalophobia.

Think of large objects like huge cruise ships, animals, skyscrapers, underwater structures, and even statues. Now imagine how’d they look if they were bigger. If the thought of it makes your hair stand on your arm, you may also have some traits of megalophobia.

And this subreddit named r/Megalophobia puts a test on your fear of large objects because it offers one hell of a collection. “A place to post images of all things large, particularly ones that are "triggers" for those with megalophobia,” says their description and 430k devoted members are nodding their heads. Scroll down and upvote the most triggering images below!

Sinkholes are scary. They can gradually form, or form without warning. One guy a few years ago, suddenly got swallowed by one in his own home. They never recovered his body.

Often sinkholes are formed when underground caves in the limestone strata collapse, and the debris cascading in gives them a bowl like shape.

Google search brings up a death toll anywhere from 0 to 5, but some news reports cover all the other deaths from rains and mudslides which occurred at the same time, making for confusing reporting.

Aren't most (all?) sinkholes practically man made? They form if there is a cavity under the earth that collapses or some such thing. And most (all) of those cavities were made by men some time ago. At least that's what I remember reading about them....

It’s usually done in poorer countries such as India and parts of Africa, the job has literally no safety requirements or protection from falls or dismemberment. Bosses buy the ships on contract hiring as many labourers as possible to break down the ship as fast as possible to make profit off the scrap. Most common deaths are falls, getting crushed and asphyxiation from using cutting torches in closed spaces. Most workers get paid Pennies per hour. If the worker survive long enough as a ship breaker they often end up with terrible illnesses from toxic exposure to chemicals or materials.

I once heard of a real interchange between a C130 and a little ol bitty Cessna 172. The nervous young trainee pilot as instructed, called over the radio, as they both seemed to be heading for the same interchange in taxiways at a huge airport. This was of course monitored by ground control, and they were in charge of it once they stopped laughing. Cessna : (shakily) "C130, what are your intentions? Please declare." C130 : (in a deep southern accent) " I'm gonna eat you!!!"

She sleeps on plazas and you can watch her waking up in the morning and doing her daily routine before she moves on to another place. It's from the French artists ' Royale Deluxe' they have a giant elephant as well.

This is a fake/rendering. We haven't sent anything that big into space.

This is a very good picture to show off the size of Saturn. The pepple is 200 km wide, yet the Saturn you can see doesn't seem to curve at all

Ever notice that during this time in world history, was when there was A LOT more UFO/Alien activity reported across the entire planet??? No doubt in my mind, they were (and still are) keeping an eye out on the human race, so we didn't ruin this planet by being dumb and wreckless AF. The amount of energy, radiation and other chemicals released in our atmosphere, during all this madness, I'm sure that if they do exist which I believe they do, they detected all the poison that was sent into space afterwards.

Reminds me of a conspiracy I read about the Olympic and the Titanic been switched and sunk on purpose to claim insurance, or was it a dream I had. I can't recall.
