This really surprises me. There isn’t a museum “on every corner” as they say. Also, my city has VERY MANY of those 2 stores and many many fewer museums. Unless there are museums hiding in people’s homes and in strip malls. I believe it I guess but it’s hard to believe. I have to Google it. Thanks for listening. Lol OK I googled it. There are supposedly 14,000 McDonald’s and 11,000 Starbucks and a whopping 35,000 museums.

I've been to a lot of museums in strip malls. They're great places for a very niche museum. Think of like a hobby collector that decided to share their hobby with the world. Only their hobby is like the progression of Cabaret through the years or a specific era of war/time period. Strip malls can have the space and it's cheaper than building your own building. I asked one of the guys who runs a WW2 museum and he decided to do it because his wife was tired of his collection taking up their entire house and no one but family and friends saw it. His collection has grown and some stuff has been donated to his museum. It's not the National History Museum in New York but its a pretty nice place.

Unfortunately most of them cost money, some quite a bit, which was a real shocker for me to learn, having grown up in the suburbs of DC, home to the Smithsonian, which are not only fantastic museums, but also free!

don't be too impressed. My neighbor down the road applied to have his house declared a museum because he has it decked out in Cowboy stuff inside and out. You can actually make an appointment to view it. He did it to get tax breaks..... *edit* I am referring to the Dallas Cowboy football team, not Cowboys, if it was dedicated to real cowboys it would be more impressive!

The sun was about the size of a basketball, and the earth was on the opposite side of the room, the size of a small marble, I'd guess about 30 metres away. The moon was the size of a tiny pinhead, about 10cm away from the earth.

On this scale, the nearest star to earth, Proxima Centauri, wouldn't be in the same building, or even in the same city. It would be 10,000km away.

And that's just one star, the nearest one to us, in a galaxy containing billions of stars, which is just one of billions of galaxies.

The scale of the universe really is mind bogglingly big. Far bigger than we can begin to comprehend.

Not sure on the first part, can't find evidence that he worked for Olds. Ford left the Henry Ford Company after a dispute with his investors, they didn't force him out. Cadillac was founded by engineer Henry Leyland, and Ford's financial backers, after Leyland convinced the backers to buy and convert the factory and assets into a new company using his engine instead of liquidating them. There was no suing to change the name, Cadillac was formed under that name six months after Ford left. It was named after the French explorer Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac.
