Nursing homes are absolutely scamming people. They charge per-patient at hundreds of dollars a day, not just double-dipping on having aides take care of multiple patients at a time but more like decasextuple-dipping. They make around 20 to 100x what they pay those aides per hour, depending on how "ethical" they are relatively.

Don't worry. It'll start trickling down any time now. Aaaaany time now...

And this is precisely why capitalism, a greed-based philosophy, is doomed to fail. And no, I'm not advocating for the opposite extreme either, because that's equally stupid. I'm advocating for true social democracy. Which a LOT of the world has figured out. The US needs to get the damn memo.

Look at who you elect to public office and who has the most influence on them. Then ask yourself how you can help even a little to change this.
