this reminds me of wen i was in high school and my best friend invited me to come along to her grandmas house since she has met mine. her grandma was the most loving and big hearted person just like mine. keep that in mind. we decided to get our hair done at her aunts salon. we walk in and her aunt looks at me and says "i dont mean to b racist but a pretty white girl like u dont belong here." my friend ended up in an arguement with her about how black girl from the hood cant b friends with a pretty upper class white girl. me and my friend were neighbors. she lived her whole life in nextdoor to me. my friend ended it with "ur just jealous ur sister became a fancy lawyer while ur stuck here" she dragged me out of their and her grandma did our hair.

Yup, they “upgraded” my laptop at work. Regularly get kicked off the wifi for no apparent reason. IT dept advice, just plug it in so it’s more stable. Would that be with the ethernet cable you haven’t provided me with into the non-existent port? It’s not like we run anything important over the wifi on our laptops, just our entire patient record system….

Some of us manage our anger well. And some of us really don’t. It all comes down to emotional regulation. And sometimes, our current mood or the way our day is going, or not going, can play a part in whether we want to roll our eyes at something, or punch the wall in a fit of rage. Not advised.
Anger is a completely normal, human emotion. We are meant to feel it, in healthy doses. Lest we bottle everything up and one day explode like a pressure cooker. It's how you manage the infuriating moments that matters. Not controlling your anger can cause destruction that'll have a negative impact on your daily life, personal relationships, work, mental health and general wellbeing.

The Historical Society in my little town had a 200 year old oak tree fall in their front yard. She was called the Grandmother Oak. The Society offered the wood to the public. My husband is a chainsaw carver, so we offered for him to carve something into the downed tree, so Grandmother Oak did not disappear forever. The Society was worried about mess he would make and difficulty in mowing around the artwork, so they declined. The root system is still laying there and people come by and take pieces, chunks or more, so it really quite an eyesore now. Makes me laugh, but also makes me angry.

Moving Horror
We moved from Nebraska to Maryland and hired a company to move us. They didn't have a big enough truck so we had to throw away some of our stuff and leave behind some things like my husband's big work bench. It took 3 weeks to get to us and we only got back 1/3 of our entire 2 bedroom apartment. I've spent days crying over this. I paid them $3,000. They told me to file a claim but without receipts to prove what we bought they would deny it immediately, that is exactly what the representative on the phone said.
We lost SO MUCH! That wooden chest was handmade by my husband's great grandpa and it's DESTROYED!

When I moved to my current apartment 5 years ago, I was told by my lawyer than I should use one of the services that helps seniors downsize, and moves stuff, and sets it up. So much was lost and damaged. So much that could have fit in here, they advised me wouldn't. I settled for $300 just to get them out of my life. Wayforth. They didn't even have their own truck. They later pulled back from their expanded service area to their original base of operations. I still hate them. Some very old, very sentimental items are gone for good. They're in Virginia. Don't ever use them.

With professional movers, there should have been an inventory (with matching number stickers on each item) of every item loaded in the truck. Also, if an item was already damaged, that should have been on the inventory. With that, they would have owed you for any damaged items.

My daughter gave me a CBD vape she used up for the battery. It had a USB port like this one does and instructions on how to recharge it. There was NO OVERCHARGE PROTECTION! You leave that battery plugged in too long and you've got a fire on your hands. Can't believe that they do that.

Others learn that it's okay to show your emotions. Whether they be anger, sadness, or pure joy. And they also learn to regulate their emotions so that they don't have big outbursts.

Dyeing of chicks used to be something some communities did to celebrate Easter, but it was mostly abandoned as a practice decades ago. It is still occasionally done in Oaxaca and other rural places. It used to be done by spraying with water-soluble food dye, but nowadays is done by injecting the eggs with nontoxic dye, staining their feathers until they molt and is apparently not stressful for the animal. Unfortunately, most of those chicks will be sold as pets and will lack the care to develop until maturity.

Years ago, someone was selling painted chicks door to door in Mumbai. My dad and sister felt pity for those creatures and bought 2. The pink one died within days but the green one lived a good life. He used to sit on my grandmother's shoulder while she watched TV and was a house pet until we thought it was time for him to go to a relative's farm where he lived the rest of his life.

I heartily agree with almost everything you said. I do have to ask, why was the war on drvgs bad? I know it was ineffectual, but I feel like that one actually had beneficial intent and not gatekeeping/ abuse? Edit to add: Let's not forget about reproductive rights as well. My wife had a stroke while we were visiting the UK and got superb care (complete recovery). When we left the hospital, the person in the hosptal business office had trouble processing my credit card for payment. She just said, "Well, pay us when you get home. And if you don't, what can we do about it?" Imagine a US hospital saying that. (Minutes later my credit card company asked me for authorization. Then the charge sailed through.)

I looked online and found that if you change the plan (e.g. change Acrobat Reader to Photoshop instead) you then get a 7-day free trial. During those 7 days you can cancel without any fees!

Ticketmaster had a malfunction on their ticketing system and 2000 people with valid tickets were refused entrance because the QR codes could not be verified and the tickets passed as fakes or already used. The venue refused a solution, and forwarded complaints to Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster was ultimately found responsible and had to provide refunds and compensation.

I worked for a smaller specialized delivery company once and the owner intentionally ordered trucks without AC. By the time he bought a custom body for them plus the truck, the AC option was only about 2% of the cost. They eventually started getting trucks with AC because they couldn't order them without anymore. The dude was a nepo-baby and got a debt-free company handed to him by his daddy who actually built it into what it was. F that guy...The old timers said he only went out on a route once because his Dad made him and that was only half a day still.

It was five events before the very respectable looking owner of a lab (I know, not even a bad news breed) was caught, he said it to five different people and offered to pay the vet bill for the victim. That's how a Chihuahua and an Irish wolfhound can both be from the same ancestor. If physical traits carry so do behavioral. Letter carrier here, spent almost 30 years carrying mail and I never had a problem with a pit bull even though my first route was worst area in town and the best place to get d***s. Been bitten so many times I stopped counting, mostly by little dogs. Big dogs have deep warning barks, the little guys, all they have is their bite. I never blamed any dog for biting me. It was either not trained well enough or I didn’t pay attention to their body language.

My partner works at a special needs college. One of his colleagues took a minibus of students to the supermarket and found the disabled parking bays full of cars without badges, so he parked across behind them and trapped 3 cars, then took his sweet time with the students doing the shopping and visiting the cafe. Tannoy announcement asking for the vehicle to be moved, so he went and told the manager he wouldn't be moving it until they had finished doing what they came for. Not all heros wear capes!

I managed a nightclub in Manhattan for more than 20 years. Touching a stranger's butt (predominantly a man touching a woman but not always) was one of the fastest ways to get yourself kicked out. Every other bar manager and bar staff I knew, all across the city, had the same policy. Strip clubs were the strictest of all. I've also been to local bars in the back-woods of red states and there it was very much a "boys will be boys" mentality. Geography is , unfortunately, very much a factor in behavior like this.

Have you ever had that liquid "cheese" they pour on nachos at carnivals or fast food places? This tastes like that stuff but in solid form. So it's bad but not gross in the way people (understandably) assume. Canned cheese is a US thing but the garbage that passes for food at McD's and all the others is global and this is really no different. So, sure, go ahead and try it.

They need to fire that manager and get one who knows how to properly schedule their staff. If the kitchen closes at 9pm, kitchen staff should be scheduled to be making food until 9:30 THEN closing begins. This is a staff that started closing the kitchen because it was slow and then got pissed because they're going to have to clean it all again. I'd guess they're only scheduled to work until 9, 9:30 at the latest which is RIDICULOUS if customers can order until 9 and it's no wonder that they're pissed. If it's a dine-in restaurant, the kitchen and dining room staff have completely different schedules and closing times. This is the MANAGER's fault for not properly setting schedules AND expectations. - F&B manager for 20+ years

I completely agree. Prepared foods like this are typically tossed at closing time on the expiration (or best by) date on the package. So if they donated it, the donation would be made ON the last sell date, not after. And any shelter or other organization that accepts food would be *thrilled* to have it. I doubt it would take more than a couple of phone calls to arrange a nightly pickup. And there are federal laws that protect individuals and businesses from being sued if they donated food in good faith, which this clearly would be.

OP claims he saw it happen and that the water was clear until somebody washed their clothes in it and when they washed a pair of green pants in it the colour leaked. Obviously a lot of people doubted the story because no green pants have that much green dye in them. And the water looks like it hasn’t been regularly cleaned and is missing chlorine.

this is likely. Hotels do not routinely upkeep their pools. Keeping a pool clean and filtered is a major expense and many simply don't bother. Source: my father, who put us all through private school servicing public and private pools who did stay clean.

From what I can find, she was holding three unwell wild animals in captivity without running a licensed animal rehabilitation centre (the licensing is to ensure that the animals get proper care and veterinary access). The animals were removed from the property and were attempted to be taken to actual rehabbers, but they were too sick for any of them to take and were put down as they were suffering.

These stories are always far more complex than the clickbait headlines suggest. There are laws about keeping, caring for, and releasing wild animals for a reason, and it is the responsibility of the person to make sure they have the relevant permits and permissions in place.
