This Online Group Shames People Who Deserve A Special Place In Hell For Being Annoyingly Entitled (50 Pics)
There are always people who think they deserve to get their own way. Like cutting in front of you at a coffee shop or demanding a table at a fully seated restaurant without a reservation. They imagine that the world owes them something without giving anything in return, or that the rules don't apply to them. Well, they do.
There's a special place for such individuals, a Reddit page called Entitled People. This online community is dedicated to shaming those who think they are better than everyone else. Members of this subreddit post stories you would not believe: demanding to enter a store even after closing time, complaining about the ambulance blocking their driveway, or asking to reschedule... the sun.
This time, Bored Panda has collected examples of people whose ego is just too big to be overlooked, so check them out below! And after you’re done, make sure to read our previous posts about entitled people here, here and right here.

Karen Doesn't Care About Your Cancer
I was helping an elderly widowed neighbor for awhile. One day we went out for shopping errands and lunch, she treated everyone, even people who were being exceptionally nice to her, like they were something on the bottom of her shoe. I was stunned, having never witnessed this behavior before. One day she went ballistic over something another person was trying to help her with. I told her I was so over her tirades, tantrums, using other people, dismissing everything out of hand etc laid down the law, said if it happened once more that would be the last she would see of me. Sure enough, not a month went by and she was at it again, it was the last time I saw her. Her loss not mine
I'm sorry your neighbor was like that and sorry you had to endure it. Adults need to learn to not vent their physical pain, mental pain, life-disappointments, and frustrations out on others.
Load More Replies...The stories about people like this continue to amaze me. I received nothing but tolerance and accommodation with my port during chemo, especially when I had to carry that damn auto injector around. Just going to work a few days after treatment was a huge chore. I can't imagine having to deal with a person like that as well without completely losing my s**t.
Why on earth would you say something like this and in front of your children. Its disgusting! There is a special place in Hell for this lady!
As the moderators state, this subreddit is the place for "stories from your lives about people who think the rules don't apply to them and they should get what they want." It is a sister subreddit of a similar page called Entitled Parents, which is dedicated to sharing specific stories of moms and dads who think that having kids gives them the right to everything.
Since its creation in 2016, Entitled People has reached more than 200K members. Most of them had the "pleasure" of meeting such individuals in real life and decided to share their experiences with the rest of us. It might be difficult to know how to react to specific situations when people think they deserve special treatment and might not understand that their actions are hurting someone else.
How To Fight Back Entitlement 101
I feel bad for the employee who eventually had to deal with her, but otherwise, that's hilarious.
She no doubt laid into the employees. Classic example of collateral damage and overall, not cool. And we wonder in the US why fast food workers want $15/hr.
Load More Replies...I don't understand the mechanics? One person orders, the other complains behind them so how does the first have the bill for the second before they order?
Load More Replies...That is so satisfying! I would pay to be in a corner eating my fries and watching
Heh, fast food joints should add one or two tables with viewline of the drive-through. Guess it'd be worth it sometimes :D
Load More Replies...Er, this makes no sense. Obviously, the impatient woman had not yet ordered her food, so how would the poster have paid for an order that had not yet been placed? Even if there were two order windows open at the time, how would it work? Would the poster say "I want to pay for the person at the other window?" And then the employee at one window goes to the employee taking the other order to figure it out? Story is funny but makes no sense. Like a day-old Big Mac, this one doesn't pass the smell test.
Some places have a three-window process. You order at an intercom menu board, pay at one window, and pick up at the next window. She paid for the order behind her, which had already been placed. When that person arrived at the payment window they probably told her that her order had already been paid, and when she arrived at the pickup window, it was gone.
Load More Replies...Then they remade her order for her. And you just wasted your money for nothing. This had no effect on her.
One of the biggest characteristics that entitled people have is the "you owe me" mentality. It seems that they fundamentally believe in their superiority over others; they see themselves as more important, smarter, and overall better in life. So naturally, they expect bigger benefits from life which are often upsetting for those surrounding them.
While we're not yet sure why some people have this kind of attitude, there could be a few explanations. We are all affected by social factors such as the environment we grew up in or how our parents and other adults treat us. According to psychotherapist and psychoanalyst F. Diane Barth, L.C.S.W., it's "a normal part of a child’s psychological development to think that he or she is the center of the world." So it all comes down to the parent who should help their kid recognize that the wants and needs of others are just important as their own.
Karens Never Win
A 13 year old boy bloody working to bloody pay his BLOODY SCHOOL CLOTHES? WTF is wrong with you guys?
Exactly. It's framed as a feel good story of how a kid got the permit he needed instead of being shut down, but it should be framed as the dystopian reality it is that a 13 year old kid needs to take on a job to afford school clothes.
Load More Replies...Only in America, folks. Where we spend $172,000 a year on some of the most worthless politicians I have ever seen.
Not only America. The price of school uniforms has been in the UK news recently as well. It would not surprise me to read about something similar happening here. Though at least now the issue has been raised, there seems to be a willingness to do something about it.
Load More Replies...This kid rules the day! Respect for the people who helped him out, and respect for the folks who are his customers. At his age he took matters into his own obviously capable hands and set out to solve his issue of apparel. I would hire this kid in a heartbeat, except for the fact that he's probably going far exceed working for others before he can drive. I love this dude, and I really love the fact that someone saw his potential and determination and got behind him. More chances for more young people please!
You don't know his situation. Maybe he has a single mom busting her ass to make his life better than hers and he just wants to ease the burden any way he can.
Load More Replies...Hold on! At 13, my daughter took a babysitting course at the Y and started sitting to earn money for school clothes. It was hardly dystopian; she wanted $150 jeans! I told her that, for that kind of extravagance, she was gonna have to pitch in...and she did. Why do you assume he had to buy ALL his school clothes? I even looked the story up and it explicitly says 'for extra money'. Y'all need to stop jumping to conclusions...and, dude, ask yourself how much his skin color influenced that assumption, while you're at it.
We all jumped to conclusions because people start go fund me accounts for cancer care or medical bills. There was a story not too long ago about a little girl starting a lemonade stand for some sort of medical care I believe. I could find that for you. There are other campaigns for reasons that just shouldn’t exist for people living in the supposed greatest country in the world. So, not a big stretch to think this kid needed to do this for school clothes. And, dude, pretty sure you should figure out why you felt the need to mention his race while you’re at it.
Load More Replies...I read about this boy. I was so proud for the city to help him, and happy that his business boomed. YAY! all around.

I’m American snd have a voice that carries, I stood by my vehicle in the parking lot looking straight at her. Whenever she went to open the door to name call, like a voice from God Almighty himself I told her to knock it off and go on her way. There was nobody walking near her snd she could not figure out where the voice was coming from. Great fun. Didn’t last long, she was so freaked out after the third time of her getting ready to open the door again.
For those who have commented in the past about Americans (myself included) being too loud, can we now agree that it's not always a bad thing?😉 Good job ma'am!
Load More Replies...These old people have a weird ideology, once I got barked at by an old woman who wanted to go left into my road as I wanted to turn right into hers. Legally she should go first, but after her stopping, pulling out her phone and calling somebody I just went. As soon as I started she put the phone back and started barking.
I’ve seen this many times, and every time it just gets better
Another reason for entitlement might come from feeling mistreated. You might think you have the right to more gifts from the world because you were deprived of the things you needed earlier on. "Often, individuals who have been mistreated or disrespected exhibit a sense of entitlement when they start to feel that they deserve better than they have been getting. This is part of a healthy shift towards self-respect. Yet they, too, eventually need to find a way to balance self-respect with respect for others," Barth said.
I Love It When These Stories Of Entitled People Pop Up On My Facebook Feed!
I've done something similar yesterday in the supermarket. An old woman (no, not a lady) hit me with her shopping cart and freaked out on me that I got in her way and that she NEEDED to get to the piccolos (sparkling wine in small bottles), pushing her bloody cart against my leg again. Guess who walked out of the store with the last two bottles, a happy smile and bad karma points?
I agree with everything except the bad karma! Bad karma is on her
Load More Replies...I had my son and his friend at a donut shop. They are shy and sweet and were super excited for a new type of donut, so talking about it. The older lady in front of us did this. She ordered all the donuts they were talking about, around 7. Then before she left, she leaned down to them and said, "You don't always get what you want." with this unkind smirk on her face. I was confused and in shock. I told her to stay away from my children. I think that day they learned some people suck. Now my son won't ever say what he wants until he is at the front of a line, in case some old witch be listening.
What a nasty old woman. I feel sorry for the boys 😟

Load More Replies...When will people learn that 2 wrongs don't make a right? If you think that the child's behavior was bad and he shouldn't have ever behaved that way. Why would you turn around and behave spitefully? It only shows more bad behavior when you do that. You behaved just like the thing you claimed to dislike. Hate can't drive out hate, spite can't drive out entitlement. Only love, patience, empathy, understanding, and wisdom can drive out all that bad behavior. We teach each other how to behave and if we truly want better, we do better. But I'm starting to see that a lot of folks don't want that. They like spite, vengeance, revenge, and hate so much more and it shows more and more everyday in how we react and behave. It's just heartbreaking to be honest and I just want it to stop.

I was thinking, 'Say thank you ', but your answer was spot on and made me laugh out loud.
What people expect of the world varies widely. And there's a special kind of people who think their time is worth more than others'. Cruising through life choosing ways that make life easier is definitely more comfortable for them. People who show up when they feel like it, not even apologizing for making others wait, state that other peoples' priorities are not worth taking into account. "By keeping others in suspense, individuals high in this quality demand that others follow their schedule rather than comply with social niceties," Susan Krauss Whitbourne, Ph.D., a professor emerita of psychological and brain sciences, explained.

Everything Has A Price If You’re Rich Enough
In Finland, fines are based on your income, so the CEO of Nokia got fined 116,000€ for speeding, while my mom got a few euros cus she didn't have a job at the time. Imo, this is how fines should work worldwide
As I’m sure most are aware, in the U.S. the more money you have, the more you can get away with
Load More Replies...I knew someone in London who used to do the parking thing simply because it was cheaper to park and get fined than it was to actually park up in a car park
Better reason than just be rich enough to not care about fines.
Load More Replies...That is why the fine should be registered and rise for repeated abuse. That’s how public transport handles it too. First time 100, next 150, then 200, and further you get sued for extorting public money or something like that. Was at a hearing of such a case, he was busted even twice on the same day, and fined a couple thousand. And the judge told him, if he sees him here again, he would have to send him to jail.
Many areas in America are realizing (it took awhile) that the financial system related to bail etc is unfair. A poor guy gets booked but can not afford bail, sits in jail resulting in job loss etc,, it can be a vicious cycle. So many court systems are changing things, which I wish was done decades ago but better late than never unless of course you have late fees attached
In America, rules, fines, and laws are only in place for the working person. Do as they do, if it only hurts a corporation or government, cheat them every time you can. Remember, they think rules and honor are for suckers. The wealthy are the parasites on the world, not you and me.
Also the same as "suspended sentences" that never actually happen or "in place of sentencing"....saw that a lot with athletes.
"It’s just that, for whatever reason, they’ve come to adopt a style that has worked for them. If they can navigate the world according to their own time schedule, and no one has called them on that, then why should they change? Call them on it and let them know that this is not okay. Even more to the point, what would happen if you didn’t wait for them? Might they realize that you’re a person who can’t and won’t be treated this way?"
Terry Crews Calling Out An Ep
Terry crews and rude are just word combos that don't fit together....i mean....have you heard of what he does?? He's like super dad. I loved how he started to learn about diy gaming PCs bc his son got into this stuff. After being asked why he wouldn't monitor his son's gaming like so many other parents do he just replied that it's a way to connect to your kid. At he did so with no cringey "omG I am ur dad and wanna be your best friend." (Just to clarify: nothing wrong with having a good relationship with your kid. I just noticed that a lot of people who specifically have the tag "my dad/mom is my best friend" have a hard time socializing)
And this is what Erica Contreras will forever be known as whenever anyone googles her name. I just looked at her twitter about this and after the backlash she wrote, "Let's be kind to one another." lol, where was that kindness when she was bulldozing his kids and badmouthing him? Stupid, entitled hypocrite.
Gosh, these are so bad. They are with their families or just trying to do their usual day to day stuff.
When will folks understand that EVERYONE is entitled to courtesy and respect of their privacy?
Reminds me of my son standing patiently aside while a reporter interviewed Eddie Hill at the ATSCO Nationals in Phoenix in '97. He wanted to get Eddie's autograph on a shirt that was signed by EVERY driver there that weekend. When the interview was over, Eddie turned and walked away, completely ignoring my son. On the rebound, I don't think Eddie won a single race that weekend. We were there as special guests of ATSCO and their crew took us around to meet various drivers and crews and they were all super nice. They'd even stop what they were doing to speak with us, explain what they were doing, took pics with us and the kids and quite often let the kids sit in the car or dragster. We didn't bother going by Eddie's pit.

Not only do such people waste others' time and don't consider their needs, but they also can't seem to control their anger. In a series of studies, researchers found that those who have higher levels of psychological entitlement actually felt victimized when they experienced bad luck. They examined about 200 participants by asking them if they feel things should go their way.

Psa: There Is Extra Space For A Reason
Guys, when you see an extra wide parking spot with extra space to one side marked in blue, even if you have a handicapped sticker, if you are not in a wheelchair, or a passenger, you should not park in the extra wide spaces. These wide spots are the only way they have to exit their car! Parking in those spots when you AREN'T in a wheelchair is no different from an able bodied person parking in a handicapped spot. Also, when we are having an exceptional day when we are feeling strong and more able, let's park in a standard parking spot and let one of our brothers/sisters that are having a really bad day have that spot. Be thankful of every good day, and remember.... Karma is real.
Me too, I'm a little envious of them, I want some like that on my chair now

After measuring levels of entitlement, psychologists gave them a task. "The participants then were told that they had been “randomly” assigned to complete a dull task (counting letters in a paragraph) rather than a fun one (rating a comic strip). Before beginning the boring task, participants indicated the degree to which it felt unfair that they had to complete this task, rather than rate the comic strip, and the amount of anger they felt in response," they explained.
Entitled Fan Thinks Their Entitled To An Nba Player's Photo
One day, when I was still working retail I had a woman come in, push the gentleman I was helping aside and demanding, "Baggie, baggie, baggie!" "As predicted, we found that more entitled people expected better luck, and felt cheated, and in some cases angry, that they had been given the dull task." When it was another person’s hardship, highly entitled people were no angrier than those who were less entitled."

PSA: $0.00 of that "delivery fee" goes to the driver. Drivers get paid minimum wage + tips and gas is near $3.50 per gallon. Drivers also answer phones, make the food when help is needed and clean the stores every day. They do most of the work to keep the place running and yet they get paid minimum wage + tips. A $2 tip is not enough. This is 2021, you should be tipping $5 even if you just ordered a small $8 pizza.
Oh, and if it wasn't clear, drivers use their own cars and the store doesn't give the federal mileage rate for reimbursement

We all have met a person like this at one point or another. Whether it was your co-worker, relative or a good friend, you need to know how to deal with such attitudes. When it comes to ill-temper, "it’s best to remember that the entitled person’s anger doesn’t necessarily mean that you or anyone else has wronged them. Although we can sympathize, their sense of victimization and outrage may simply be due to getting dealt a bad hand rather than the great one they feel they deserve."

Bros.... Don't Be Like This...
It seems that there is not sufficient space for their legs anyway. Airplanes sucks
If im sitting alone on public transport (plane, train, bus etc) i definately spread out and get comfy, but the second someone may need the seat next to me i make sure to allow them an equal amount of space. Its simple manners.
While that guy is clearly an asshole, it does not excuse airlines for lack of space between rows. Dunno who calculated what's "enough" but being 1.82m (which is not that much and barely above average for nordics) - I simply don't fit in there and every flight becomes a really painful experience just after few hours. Also, there are only as many "extra leg room" sits and getting them becomes a race you'll not necessarily win.
Had to do a nurse escort on a plane on an overnighter/early hours arrival flight. No biggie we had lots of room for that and crew were lovely. Unfortunately had to come back on a peak business flight because that was the first back for another last minute destination patient pickup. Got assigned the middle seat of 3 and had 2 suits (big guys as well in the roundness department) one on either side of me. They were furious they had to get their stuff off the middle seat when the hostie asked them so I could sit. They then both decided to take out that frustration on me and they just had to manspread to push up against my legs, and broadsheet newspaper spread across my face the entire flight. Any time I tried to move my legs or put an arm on a single arm rest I got shoved by one of them. Crew were very apologetic they could not move me as plane was packed. Luckily was only 3hr flight but the entitlement and passive seething rage directed against me would have been amusing if less blatant

Since he’s clearly a stalker, perhaps you should alert your local constabulary that you’re being cyber-stalked and are VERY CONCERNED it’ll turn into physical stalking with scary physical repercussions!

Amazing, amazing, amazing, what women and people in general, have to put up with working with the general public. When I worked waitressing/bartender/convenience store/ whatever second job I was able to get to feed my kids, I can't count the come ons, crappy personal insults, outright assault on three different occasions where people thought it was FUNNY that a man just grabbed me and french kissed me, lies told to my boss because I didn't or couldn't give them what they wanted( she's got an "attitude"). It's horrible how people think that just because you are over the other side of the counter, you are for sale too. Or free.
If I could give you more than one up, you’d soar to the top of the list!

Load More Replies...All of this may seem like a never-ending cycle. First, thinking that the world owes you certain things, then getting angry when certain expectations are not met. Finally, fixing the situation you're in which will only give you more self-confidence that you really deserve everything you've ever wanted. The good news is that this is easily changeable and we can think of a few ways on how to break this pattern.

Medical workers already go through enough and this entitled woman just added unnecessary work for them 🤦♀️
It's also a BS story. The only thing that really needs to change is gloves and many hospitals don't use latex gloves anyway. Especially during surgery. There's glass, and steel and cotton, all because you want as little interaction anyway.
Load More Replies...I understand statements like this are actually not uncommon. If I understand correctly, some patients are already at least partially drugged as they're coming into surgery. Especially when sedation starts, people make claims about deciding against procedures, having wild allergies, suddenly experiencing different symptoms, etc. It's why it's so important to have all of those conversations in advance.
Andy - You're right. And why didn't the medical workers ask what her reaction to latex has been in the past? Once someone says they have an allergy, the next question is always, "How does your allergy show, do you get hives, etc? What has happened to you in the past?"

Take a step back, evaluate the situation from a different point of view, and think: is it really fair for other people to drop everything that they're doing because you need it? It's not, right? Well, most importantly, remember to have respect for others and treat them kindly because you might be unaware of the struggles they have to deal with on a daily basis.
Entitled Commissioner Thinks The Artist Should Keep The Project In Her House And Work On It There So She Can Personally Track Work Hours
I crochet, too, and I am very picky about the custom orders I take. The number of people that assume that it should be cheaper because I do it while watching television or think that is should take less time are insane. The worst are the ones that tell me that "yarn isn't that expensive" or, and this is my favorite, "a blanket costs $5 at Walmart." Great, go to Walmart and get a $5 blanket and leave me alone.
Can you explain the deal above for me? 90 hours for $500 seems a bit cheap.Below minimum wage. Is the cost of materials extra? Either she really loves making Afghans or she is already being taken advantage of.
Load More Replies...Double the cost if she wants to supervise at her house and then make unreasonable demands and requirements such as 2 meals and 5 breaks. Infinite drinks on demand, where she has to make them for you and bring them to you. They babysit while you supervise her and her family and that includes cleaning, changing and feeding the kid as well as play and sleep. Keep going with the demands until she either gives up or cancels completely
I'd stitch small straw pieces into it so she can't find the itchiness😉
Ohhhhh, let me in your home. GREAT IDEA!! I will stop every 10 stitches to scratch my head and say out loud “Damn head lice, they have been hell to get rid of” then I would scratch my leg and ask “Have you ever been bit by a bed bug, man they itch” That’s right, I don’t fight fair because I don’t like to fight, but if I’m going to be dealing with a fight like this one..I’m in baby!!
"Okay, but since my costs (gas, wear and tear on my car, hiring a babysitter) have gone up, so has the price."
As a babysitter, I can confirm that we can get pretty expensive. But my rates are pretty good, I think; I have 8 years of former childcare experience babysitting my 9 other siblings, and I only charge 10 dollars an hour.
Load More Replies...Tell her to learn to make it herself then her tightwad husband can get it for the cost of material only.
Even if it were by the hour, $5.56/hr is ridiculously cheap for a custom piece. And that's without accounting for material and transport of finished goods expenses
Minimum wage I think is $7.25 I think. So you are not far off.

I often order double drinks and I expect to pay double. The idea is not to save money but to order only once. Regarding the ice, so many places rip you off by serving you 90% of ice....
Yes and if I wanted to have a watered down drink from the ice melting I would've just poured water in my drink to begin with.
Load More Replies...K, what do they mean by "THAT guy"? A person who doesn't want their drink to be 50% ice? Or because ice tends to make their drink too cold to the point where it literally tastes like cold?
Apart from the last two, everything else seems normal and I don’t really understand what their problem is. Pushing doubles is part of the job, and if someone wants to be more responsible and get more mixer with their drink then why is that an issue?.. Same with no ice. Maybe they’re a slow drinker and don’t want their stuff watered down by melting ice. If someone is that impatient with regular requests then maybe bar work isn’t for them

The U.S obsession with the military, and this "thank you for your service" mentality is pathetic. Let me get this straight - better than minimum wage, free clothing, accommodation and meals, free dental and health care, free travel and paid vacation time, and lower risk of being shot dead than a grocery store cashier, and yet somehow the military must be revered for service to their country while people busting their balls in all weathers to repair infrastructure, or teach children, or doing any other job and paying taxes don't deserve the same respect? What a sick, twisted society.

I once met someone who did this, while I was waiting for a medical appointment. They were all uptight about anyone even looking at their dog because he was "working". When it was just the two of us, I asked her how long she had had him and how long he had had to train to be a service dog and that kind of thing. She eventually admitted that he wasn't actually a service dog. She just liked being able to take him wherever she wanted and tell people he was a service dog because they took her health more seriously that way. Not the doctors. She meant, random strangers took her health more seriously with her fake service dog. I was speechless.
It’s amazing how common this is. Usually the animal is not trained at all and is easy to spot as a result unlike my seeing eye Chihuahua, who is totally legit (JOKE ALERT).
Like the emotional support Peacock! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AevlbMEqEg&ab_channel=InsideEdition
Load More Replies...You need to have a certified service dog and show proof (of the dogs training) to be able to take it everywhere. Staff are allowed to ask if it's an actual service dog and they're also allowed to ask what it's trained to do specifically. Not enough people know this. And even then, if the dog doesn't behave as a service dog should, people are allowed to ask you (tell you) to leave their business. To any and all servers out there, don't be afraid to tell entitled shitbags off. They can't demand to have their dog in the restaurant just because they claim it's a service dog. If they are a nuisance you are in your legal right to tell them to leave. If you're afraid to do so send your manager in, or the boss. No certification is no rights for them! EDIT showing the animals certification is not in all states. But you still need to answer whether or not it's required because of a disability and also what task it is trained to perform. And in any and all cases, if the dog barks, pisses somewhere, humps a table leg, sniffs around, begs for food or does anything other than lying at their persons feet, you can tell them to leave
I have to disagree.. at least in parts of the US. Disabilities are protected under federal HIPPA law. A disabled person is not required to show proof of their disability or needs as a result of that disability. Denying service because they "Can't prove it" will end up getting you fined and possibly shut down by federal agencies. If the animal acts aggressively, you can involve proper authorities.

I don't think dumping someone out of their wheelchair is an appropriate response, but I understand the frustration that comes with everyone gatekeeping whether you "deserve" to park there based only on appearances.

Our theaters have assigned seats when you buy a ticket. They ask, on the screen before the film, that if you notice someone on their phones, taking loudly or disrupting the experience in any way to discreetly text a 6-digit number your seat #. That way they can come in to the general area and access the disruption and remove the offender. It’s easy to dim one’s screen to quickly do this.
I haven't had to deal with this yet but with the last Ghostbuster, we decided to see on a saturday afternoon, there were like 10 kids who could not keep their mouth shut for even one minute. Your neighbors did that? What a bunch of twats! I hope they stayed in jail longer than they had to.
Load More Replies...This can be awkward in narrow streets without adequate parking. I also know how long it can take for ambulance crews to adequately assess a patient. Only if I had something I absolutely had to get to, and couldn't get out, would I be inclined to politely ask if they were dealing with an emergency and if not, could they let me out when it was convenient. I would also be concerned for whichever neighbour it was they had come to and would likely be checking to see if there was anything I could do to help anyway.
I remember this happening, the guy the ambulance had been called for was dying. The paramedics managed to get him to hospital alive, although he did pass away a few weeks later. We have some quite narrow streets and older houses with no parking. It causes a lot of tension and sometimes things come to a head. Suppose the government has announced stricter penalties for crimes against emergency workers, unfair the courts don't seem to have got the memo.

I agree. It's very dehumanizing, and some customers take advantage of that. I believe in tipping after the task has been fulfilled rather than before it has been done. I don't tip the wait staff prior to being served, why should this be any different.

Load More Replies...As a prior home health nurse, I can attest this happens frequently. If the patient's driveway was small or full and I had to park on the street, neighbors got all out of wack over parking in their property space, even if you make sure your car is completely on the public street but it's in the property line. Neighbors get very defensive of any space the have considered their property, public street or not, you park in their view space, you are gonna get stares, notes, approaches, etc. Compassion be damned.
That's sad. I thought, residential parking is free for all, unless one is blocking their driveway, or parked in front of a hydrant - which I'm sure you don't do. How territorial.

The people in abus are there to hold the line (regardless if they are doing it wrong) and they would likely have let the wheelchair in had they know. She was there. They are blue Berets and honestly they aren’t that bright.

I read more about this. The women in the wheelchairs were there 1st to see their military spouses in the veterans parade. the woman stood in front of them so they didn't get to see the parade or their spouses walk in it.
Also being disrespectful to the veterans that just have to stand there and take it.
She Actually Got People To Do It!
Supervisor should make her repay the other two employees, since that is basically theft.
Unfortunately it isn't theft as she asked for the money and was given it. It isn't fraud as she was open about why she was asking for the money. The law isn't there to protect people against their own idiocy. It would be different if they were vulnerable adults (learning difficulties, mental health problems etc), then I would expect severe repercussions. That said, the supervisor does have power within their role to decide how they are going to deal with it. That could be interesting.

My niece told her to eff right off and went about her business. The coworker got the owner involved and threw such a fit she was let go from the restaurant.
I had an employer tell me that I had to share my wages with a new employee, who I was training. They said they couldn't afford to pay two workers on one shift, so I should give them half my wages. When I started, I did not get paid for training, but they thought I should pay for someone else's training. Wow!

No, absolutely not. She could have asked why you took her shift and ask to swap it back. That's about the level of compromise there can be. But even if you say no, that's fine. Nobody owns a bloody shift.

It was eventually thrown out of court and the guy who owned the pig farm celebrated by having a pig roast at his place.
That one hits close to home for me. I'm 3+ years into a reno on a 1920 bungalow and all of a sudden a jerk below me has a problem with runoff. Keep in mind, we have not altered the lay of the land. His houses built 32 years after ours were built in a natural flood plane. Now I'm sure whoever built them knew this and put in a diversion ditch. I have no doubt this fool has done nothing to maintain that ditch and now 70 years later, it's filled in but it's my fault he's now getting water when we have a downpour. Lucky for me, my work is in code. The jerk even tried making reference to the house above his and behind mine. I guess he didn't know that I not only know who owns that house but we've become good neighbors and she loves everything we do.

My husband went to Japan for foreign exchange program in College. We were on financial aid and had to have yearly paperwork in. The financial aid office sent the paperwork to me to send to my husband. Knowing it would take several weeks to get there, I asked why they couldn't just fax it to him through the international office on campus. She then says "You received $XXXXX dollars last year in financial aid..I think you can afford overnight mail." I said "You have no idea about my situation and how I spend my financial aid is none of your business!" I called her boss (the VP of financial affairs and a man I had been a temp for while on work study.) He called her, explained she was never to do that again and he picked up the papers and hand delivered them to the international office himself. I never had a problem with her again.
Harassing The Work Crews To Get Power Back On
Harass me at my work and I develop a bad case of Irritatus Noninteruptus which causes me to go home and ingest alcohol in large quantities which means I will not be able to work for another 2 days.
Too bad the lines aren't buried. Seems like that would be an ideal solution.
"Just one moment, ma'am. I'll turn on the power to your property after I have laid a special line direct from the power station to your home."
Had tree fall across the street from our house, crew came out and made the repairs but forgot to set the fuse back in. When I called, I never could get the rep on the phone to understand the repairs had already been made and simply didn't reset the fuse so I had to go 2 more days without power before someone with more than a second grade education understood the problem.
we had the power pole in front of our house come down in a storm around 1am. We live in the country and I know we are toward the end of the connection line. The lineman kept apologizing about getting everyone in town's power up before ours. They had a new pole up in place and power back on in about 8 hours after it went down. We thought we would have days without power. They apologized for taking so long as we were amazed to have power back that fast.
I also live way out in the country. My power goes out during winter storms, but they usually have it fixed in a few hours. After one really bad storm, the power remained out all day and night. The next morning, I called the company to ask when they thought it might be fixed. When I asked the employee what the ETA for the repair truck was, she started crying, and said, "I'm doing the best I can! I can't make it go faster!" I was like, "Woah, calm down! I'm not blaming you, I just need to know if I should make arrangements for my perishable food." She apologized, and said everyone had been calling and screaming at her all morning. Half of the county had lost power during that storm. I felt so bad for her that lady.

Is it really that bad to give your kids presents from Santa even if other people aren't as fortunate? I understand where the first person is coming from but at the same time, I don't think that anyone is at fault here. As long as the kid deserves it I think you can give them a present once a year regardless of whether other people can have the same thing.
Giving your kids presents: perfectly fine. Telling your kids that it came from a magic man who decides if you're good enough to get presents: leads to kids wondering what the hell they did wrong when little Jane gets a £20 doll and little Abby gets an iPad.
Load More Replies...Ik Im gonna get hate , but I don't think this woman is entitled. And I agree with her.
Which person? The one who wants people to stop crediting Santa for the gifts or the one who says it sounds like a personal problem?
Load More Replies...I'm actually not sure that asking people to stop telling their kids their present came from Santa is a reasonable request. Kids are going to compare their presents anyway, it doesn't have to be something obscenely expensive, it can be a budget toy versus a pair of socks. Following this logic, everybody should stop telling their kids about Santa, just because someone else's kid might end up getting something worse and get upset.
Maybe don't compare what you got for Christmas? You get what you get and you don't get upset. Or maybe ban Santa all together. Sorry, I'm kinda with the responder and I've been poor and uncomfortable. I always had gifts under the tree for my kids.
We don’t have this problem! Not letting Santa take credit for the good stuff!! Santa bring arts, crafts, and other STEM stuff. 😂
i do often find this bad, but i often find [not always] its the parents who could afford to give there kids a good Christmas spend there money on other unnecessary things for them self's that they really don't need. everyone's entitled to benefits and if you rather spend the money on your self then on your kids im sure that's all on you. in no way am i rich that's why i start to save everything i can afford to save after summer is over after paying bills and food of course,
I, personally, hate the Santa lie. But, what parents choose to lie to their own kids about is their own business. My parents always told us that Santa was a myth, and they taught us to genuinely enoyed giving more than receiving. Some of my favorite memories of Christmas are of the weeks before Christmas, when my brothers and I would sneak out to the shed to make homemade gifts for everyone. And the days before Christmas, when our mom and grandma would help us make teddy bear loaves (sweet bread shaped like a teddy bear) to give to the neighbors. We were poor, and I don't remember many of the presents I received growing up, but I remember the family time, and the giving.
Actually, I remember the especially special presents I received; like a journal that my younger brother made me. He took a plain notebook, colored purple flowers on the front, and wrote "I love you" at the top of every page. He had just learned to spell, and it must have taken him hours to make. I was only 9 years old, but I was mature enough to appreciate the hard work that went into that gift.

At least in the UK, it is not illegal to swim when red flags are flying (although it is foolish). In any case, I don't see any red flags there, the sea is calm, and on a 'wild' beach like this I wouldn't expect flags of any colour because it's not like every inch of the coastline is patrolled
The "refused to move for students" statement makes me believe that these folks weren't so much the problem. Rather I have a feeling that it's more a case of entitled student upset when picnicking family refuses to move so they could do their survey so takes to the internet as a form of revenge. I don't see any sign of littering. Climbing on the rocks shown here or breaking those rocks from the slope face isn't damaging anything. Swimming on a red flag day? These are nitpicking statements. If they littered, then show it.
My first question to them would be “just out of curiosity, what kind of car did you drive here in” then I would ask what color is there car?? Feign concern “oh no, I’m afraid I saw someone back into your car and take off, there is lots of damage!” You ought to go check it out. Easiest way to get people to move, I just hope the walk back to the car is long enough that it discourages them from returning

TIL of the existence of a corpse cupboard. Not sure how I feel about that.
Load More Replies...As an airline employee, its not uncommon for the flight to continue on depending on where you are in the flight (so if you are halfway there for example) they will move the body away from as many passengers as possible and keep going.
I mean, the guy behind him isn't wrong; the person is already dead. Lol. However, if they did an emergency landing in Atlanta, it was probably an international flight, going out of America, which meant they really needed to get the body off while they were still in America.
Its fine as a joke tbh. But yeah noone wants to sit next to a dead person
Every airline has protocol in dealing with a death during a flight. If it was an international flight, the airlines will want to remove the body ASAP especially if the plane is still in the country the flight originated in. RIP passenger, sympathies to those who they left behind. As for the other heartless passengers, get travel insurance, it’s inexpensive and can help lessen the sting of incidents like this one

Horseppuckey! If you have severe food allergies, cross contamination IS a thing! This is just a picky eater.
I was confused by the cross contamination line. If you are severely allergic, then that could be life threatening. Don't use the allergy theme if you are just a fusspot!
As far as I know potatoes, tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, paprika, and tamarillos, are in from the same family, the nightshade family, and this isn't an unheard of allergy/intolerance. The list isn't ridiculous for someone with real food problems. And I can someone like that would like to eat out once in a while, if they could. It would depend entirely on how they behaved when they handed over their list. If they were asking politely if there was anything they might be able to eat, or whether they were all stroppy and demanding.
Some people can tolerate a tiny bit of cross contamination, but if they eat an actual dish this will increase their load towards getting ill. Not so much what we now call 'allergy' but 'intolerance' isn't strong enough for how ill they can end up.

I said, "you mean the hurricane that is currently 160 mile southeast of Florida and hasn't even made landfall?" Yes, that one. We changed schools shortly after that. The admin was so ignorant they couldn't fathom the mileage involved. That hurricane actually tracked east after landfall and we had NO flooding and no real abnormal weather from it as it passed Virginia 3 DAYS later.

The Note Someone Left On My Car After Getting Towed Out Of My Spot
hmm. It depends on whether the spot is ACTUALLY reserved or just habitual. If it's reserved in the sense of, labelled, with a payment plan, then yes, tow the vehicle. But if it's just habit, it's debatable. You'd need to demonstrate that the bay was in fact yours in the sense that you pay for it.
If it was just habitual, there would have been no standing to have the car towed. It was most likely a paid spot, and if it is like the apartment complexes where I have lived in the past, you are given a sticker for your car and cars without stickers or cars with stickers for different parking places are towed by the management, not the space owner.
Load More Replies...Lived in an apartment with assigned parking. I was across from the office so people parked in my spaces all the time, but were usually gone within a few minutes. Then there was a truck parked there for a long time. The manager didn't know who it belonged to. I knocked on doors and asked, but no one claimed it. So I had the apartment manager tow it. 30 minutes after the tow truck left, I had a knock at my door. The girl that lived a few doors down (and whose door I knocked on) asked why I had her boyfriends truck towed. I said "How did you know it was me?" She said it was because my apartment number was on the parking space. I said "And now you know why it was towed." And I shut the door.
If this was at a previous place I lived, you just can't just find another spot. All the spots are designated and visitors are required to register and given a specific spot to park at. There are signs as you enter the parking specifically pointing out resident and visitor parking spots. So yeah I would've had no choice but have that car removed as well. Anyway, you do the crime, you pay the fine, plain and simple.
I lived in an apartment complex years ago. It included about a dozen separate buildings. We had assigned spaces that were included in our rent. My spot was around the corner, in front of the adjacent building. A guy (we'll call him "entitled jerk") in that building kept parking in my spot. I kept having his car towed. One day, I had some guests, and told them to park in my spot..that I pay for. When they went to leave, their car was gone, and his was in the spot...MY spot. He had my friend's car towed, so he could illegally park there. I called the office, explained what happened, and then they called the towing company themselves. The towing company brought my friend's car back, and then towed entitled jerk's car. He had to pay thousands. He then got evicted at the end of the month.
I kinda know how OP feels, I live in a housing co-op meaning we pay for our stalls, also we’re across the road from a playground. We get so many people speeding into our round about to turn around, I don’t care that you’re using the round about to turn around just don’t speed. We also have like 3 or 4 visitor stalls and people will blatantly ignore the visitor stalls and just park in a random stall. We also have a fire lane that has actually been used by fire trucks and ambulances (one time a fireman saw me sitting at my door watching the truck and waved at me cause our house is infront of the fire lane) and almost every day someone will use the fire lane, like the delivery service or just random people
If it’s a spot that comes with an apartment then tough. Not your boyfriends

Oh, heck no! They should have ordered the family to leave, and called the cops if they refused to leave. Every restaurant I've worked at, we locked the doors at closing time, and re-locked the door behind every employee as they went home.

OMG! So, everyone else in the world has 364 other days to choose from but this one is theirs?!
Imagine calling dibs on your birthday lol... We need more days and months in a year.
What Bugs Me Most About This Is That There’s Usually A Super Nice Guy In A Wheelchair Who Stays There And I Bet He Had To Move Because Of This Lovely Person
In my city, our skytrain doesn’t really have guards. Or at least, they’re few and far between and hard to find. Not a great solution for us :(
Load More Replies...I don't see him there though? If there's no disabled human, I think the spot is free to use otherwise?
I agree. On UK public transport you can use the spot but have to give it up to somebody disabled if they need. I'm assuming the same here, it literally says 'yield' on the sign.

I Hate This Review So Much I Want To Die
How dare your child experience a slightly different world view?!! The horror.
I often wish these reviews could be responded to. I've seen so many idiotic reviews, for example, things on Amazon, were people didn't even read the description in the heading of a product, because otherwise they have known the specific thing that they're bugging out about!
Load More Replies...I don't understand why you're being downvoted. It's not an unreasonable assumption to make

I'm not entirely sure how dyslexia works but I'm not sure it'd be an issue. The text is still in the right order for reading, you just manoeuvre across the page differently. Instead of reading the speech bubbles 1>2>3>4 you read them 4<3<2<1
Load More Replies...Wait, Manga are read that way? Oh no, who could ever have typed that into Google? /S
You wouldn't think to Google it if you didn't know it was a thing. No where on the product does it say "Manga".
Load More Replies...To be fair, the title says, "Pokemon Book Collection". In English. There is no mention of Manga. If a person knew nothing about Pokemon, or Manga, why would they know what the format was?
Ever heard of manga? Some mangas are mirror-inverted for western readers. But a lot of manga readers tend to avoid them, because they already are used to reading from right to left. It's not that difficult.

Wouldn't it be nice if business owners could rate their customers too, to warn other vendors?
I've seen some smashing replies to bad reviews like that.

Not to mention in most cases you can't just drop one or 2 orders worth, they're dropped by the bag and not allowed to only use a partial. Once a bag is opened it's used or thrown out.

Because Parking In A Clearly Marked Reserved Spot And Getting Towed For It Is Hateful
Massive Red Flag Already
What's the pic for? Are you suggesting getting to look at you is worth paying for your night out??? Magazines full of free models... Internet full of free porn.... Pay for what you eat...
If you ask someone out on a date, I think it's fairly accepted that you be willing to pay the bill. Gender doesn't matter at all. But that means that the other person should reciprocate the next time. There is nothing wrong with someone offering to pay half, but I think it's a bit rude to ask after the fact. But there is no reason to expect a man to pay just because he's a man.
Yeeeeah. Definitely a red flag. But I know people who do think like this. I at least appreciate her being open about it right on her dating profile.
I hate women that don't know how to wear undergarments. Put a bra on honey!
Sorry but paying half/half is not the same thing as paying for your own stuff. I also think paying half/half is stupid, but in my culture it is very usual that people on a table pay separately.
I would hate to pay half, I'm very cautious about the prices for things and it would annoy me to pay for someone else's excess (multiple alcoholic drinks, expensive meals, etc). I would happily pay my own though.

What on earth does her car have to do with anything? It's a dog WALKING job
Uhm, maybe the dogs need to be collected and driven somewhere first before they get to the WALKING part... you're not exactly going to be loading dogs into 2 door sports car.
Load More Replies...I think it's fair enough to ask about a car, because there are some dog walking jobs where you might have to transport the dogs somewhere by car and/or to a dog park or something. It was a perfectly polite question, and I think the way the applicant responded was rude and snippy, and then insults the person offering the job. Yeah, there's only one asshole here.
This Guy In First Class On The Shinkansen
If this were America, I would have commented "So have you been away from the trailer park for long? I'm sure your mom will be happy to see you if she can get time off her shift at the Waffle House. And how is your Dad/Uncle?" If that didn't get through to him...I'd tell him to put his feet down before I grabbed his shoes and chucked them out the window. That way he can walk home barefoot.
How is this first class? Are there only two people on the flight at the moment? And someone tell him to put his damned shoes on.
It's the Shinkansen, the Japanese bullet train. Trains can be quite empty depending on the time of the day.
Load More Replies...is it that he is leaning into your space? Clearly there are lots of empty chairs so my suggestion would be to very dramatically move seats and make sure my camera made a click noise while i was photographing him.
I think it's more about the unhygienic bare feet on the seat back.

Looks like she was just sorting herself out. It is quite possible that the were moved by her soon after.
If no one needs the seats, who cares? This doesn't prove she wouldn't have moved them if someone in need got on or if she was asked to.
People do this all the time, plenty of old ladies use the buses to take their shopping home, I'm sure if someone disabled needed the set she could've easily moved one of the bags.
One picture clearly does not tell all of the story. I think it's still pretty ok to temporily resrve some space if you found out you phone, wallet or home keys are in the bottom of you bag if there are just now anyone that needs those seats..
I am handicapped. I would tell her to move her stuff, and if she didn't, I'd use my cane to push it on the floor.
Reading lists of shitty people being shitty is a form of self-harm.
The Nintendo fans harassing Nintendo for delaying their games due to their workers' mental health ticked me off. It reminded me of all those Pokémon fans harassing the Gamefreak workers on Twitter, their "Hang Masuda" Twitter hashtag, and harassing the creator of Pokémon on a tweet about one of his friend's wedding all because they didn't like Pokémon Sword and Shield. And this was all before Sword and Shield even came out. Nintendo fans need to chill out. It's just a game. 🤦
At a baseball game, a Karen on her cell phone kept complaining that my son was making too much noise and obstructing her view by cheering. I had even tried foolishly to work with her a little bit, but I was hardly going to punish my son for cheering. I finally responded, "It's a baseball game, you psycho (oops), you're supposed to cheer!" Security came by and moved us up to empty seats in the front row. Everyone clapped... but probably because of the baseball game.
This happened to me and my kids at Sea World. They were still pretty little-5 and under. We did what their height/age allowed and then went to the whale show. We got there early to get good seats out of the Texas sun. Sat there about 30 minutes waiting for the show to start. Right when it was starting and most seats were filled in walks this rich guy and his wife and kids. Told me to move down to accommodate his group. He wanted my seats. I told him no and went back to watching the show. It would have put us behind a column where we could not see. He felt he had the right to take our seats from us as I was a woman alone with two little kids and just because he felt entitled to have them.
AN ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY PRIVILEGED CHARACTER: there was a rock/pop music star I liked to follow until he did this... He was the lead singer in a boy-band 10 years ago. He was the stock "pretty boy" of the group. His big ego has only gotten worse as he grows older while struggling with a solo career. The man is really impressed with himself. Too bad for him that the music/entertainment industry doesn't share his glowing self-estimate. He never responds to fan Tweets or FB posts/comments. He took the message tab off his FB page and put up a link to MeWe.com. This means that if you expect a long-delayed, two-sentence answer to any question, you will get it, but only if you pay him $100 for his effort. After tour concerts, he never goes out to visit with the fans. He should learn from more popular stars who make themselves more available to the fans, and their increasing music sales or movie ticket sales show it. He hasn't figured it out yet that the fans are paying for any/all of his successes, however small they may be. Sorry, but it seems a little too arrogant for me that he won't reply to an email or FB post/comment/reply/message unless someone pays him $100. His popularity would triple if he would take a lesson from the examples of Tim Chalamet or Danny Radcliffe who love their fans & interact with them as much as possible. And p.s., I don't expect a personal response on FB, Twitter, or whatever from entertainment or media figures.
It sounds like you're the entitled one. Nobody owes you social-media interaction.

I like to "play" with rude people. If I notice them trying to talk to me, I point to my ear and mouth the word "deaf". I always keep paper and pen in my purse. I hand them to them, if they do write something, I look at what they wrote and shake my head to let them know I don't understand. Usually they give up. I have had a few that will continue but usually they give up. This started when a guy pulled into the parking lot and almost ran over a pedestrian. I saw it, as I had just parked. As I approached the ped, he thought I was the one who tried to run him over. Rather than a confrontation, I pretended I couldn't hear or understand him. Pi$$Ed him off even more, but he left me alone.
