After The Rock Calls Out Rebecca Ferguson Screamer, Emily Blunt Crosses Herself Off The List
No, it isn’t an Agatha Christie whodunit, but a dramatic real-life Hollywood mystery, which has now seen Emily Blunt clear her name amidst the ongoing search for the unnamed actor who allegedly screamed at Rebecca Ferguson on a movie set. Speculations have since continued to grow in the desperate search for the culprit.
Emily has now become the second costar who has worked with Rebecca to clear her name. The actresses worked together on the 2016 thriller The Girl on the Train.
- Emily Blunt cleared her name amidst Rebecca Ferguson's on-set abuse claims at the hands of an unnamed actor.
- Dwayne Johnson was also ruled out as the alleged abuser, supporting Rebecca on social media.
- Rebecca described the alleged abuser as an "absolute idiot" co-star.
A representative for the British actress told the Daily Mail on Wednesday (February 28): “Rebecca and Emily are friends, and there’s nothing but love between them.”
This follows a recent interview where Rebecca, who is currently promoting Dune: Part Two, revealed that she once refused to work with an “absolute idiot of a costar” after they publicly berated her on set.

Appearing on the Reign With Josh Smith podcast on Tuesday (February 27), the 40-year-old actress said: “I remember there was a moment, and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out. I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at.”
The Swedish talent claimed that the mystery actor would yell at her “in front of the whole crew,” saying things like, “You call yourself an actor?” and “This is what I have to work with?”

However, she said that producers excused the unnamed person’s behavior because they were “number one on a call sheet.”
Rebecca recalled: “There was no safety net for me, so no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.”
In the end, the alleged abuse reached a breaking point for Rebecca, who went on to inform the film’s producers that she could no longer work with the actor. The film in question has also remained unnamed.

She continued: “I looked at this person, and I said, ‘You can F off. I’m gonna work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again’.”
According to Rebecca, the film’s producers argued against her plea by stating that the actor in question was “number one”, and therefore had a right to be on set.
Rebecca responded by reaffirming her stance and insisting that she would only film scenes if she could interact with the actor’s back, a condition she upheld throughout the remainder of the movie.
She concluded her story: “It took so long for me to get to that. It’s within my last 10 years or 12 years.

“And I’ve acted since I was 16. But, from that moment, I have never let myself get to a point when I’ve got home and gone, ‘What did, why did that happen?’”
The Scandinavian star took some action before others started to speculate, ruling out her Mission Impossible costar Tom Cruise as well as Hugh Jackman, whom she worked with on The Greatest Showman in 2017, as per Buzzfeed.
Tom and Hugh might’ve been ruled out of the equation, but with approximately 30 movies under her belt, the identity possibilities for Rebecca’s perpetrator are vast.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was the first actor to eliminate themselves from the search, speaking out in Rebecca’s defense, and recalling a positive experience they shared working together on the 2014 Hercules film.

Taking to his X (formerly known as Twitter) page, Dwayne wrote: “Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bullshit. Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this.”
People have naturally attempted to narrow down the list of potential offenders by unveiling videos of Rebbeca seemingly enjoying the company of previous costars, such as Ewan McGregor.
From Jake Gyllenhaal to Meryl Streep, it really could be anyone. And with cancel culture having its grip on the internet, some of Rebecca’s former costars have now been left to defend themselves.
