I am a self-taught artist. In my artworks, I combine classical figurative painting and abstract, impressive manner of landscape art.

The main character of my paintings are not idealistic, mystical figures at the epicenter of the storm or floating in an impenetrable fog. They are depicted not as powerless before the elements but as part of their power.

In my works, I explore the nature of the depth and power of human emotions. My paintings are a journey, an attempt to capture the gusts of raging winds, which are as sensual and fickle as the human spirit. This is a quickly passing, barely perceptible intimate moment where a person and an element are one. A moment in anticipation of something growing and inevitable.

The atmosphere of my work is often like a dream or a memory. It is a paradox, a unity of strength, storm, and peace.

I have been interested in painting since early childhood. And then it seemed obvious to me that the most interesting thing is to draw people, and only then everything else. I was constantly trying to paint people, and looking at my scribbles, I was always tormented by the question “why do they not look like real people ?” For me, it was a kind of challenge - to make my scribbles look like people. I grew up, and my interest in people and the showing of their emotions through paintings did not disappear. Over time, a love for nature was added to this interest. But nature also had a lot of humanity for me. Every natural phenomenon was associated with the human soul.

The main source of inspiration for my paintings is nature and human hidden emotions. Emotions that open only alone with yourself. This is the main source, but not the only one. At the same time, I am very inspired by music and other artists. Art in general. I’m just amazed at how unique we all are and how much each of us has to show the world! So much beauty, passion and love in each of us. This inspires me to do more.

Speaking about the motivator, I think that my main motive has not changed for me since childhood. It’s a competition. Competition with yourself. I still look at my paintings and think “I want more!!! I want to convey more energy, more emotion, more sensuality!!” This search itself is very motivating, when you collect the missing elements bit by bit, you want to go further more and more to see how my works are changing, and what my paintings will be like in the future.

For me, my paintings are primarily the study of myself. I learn a lot about myself through art. After all, we rarely analyze what and why we like or dislike. When I was asked a couple of years ago why I draw what I draw, and what is the meaning of it, the answer was simple - “just because it seems beautiful to me and there is no other meaning to it.” For me it was obvious. Now everything is changing. I am learning more and more about myself and through this knowledge, I am getting closer to harmony with myself.
