Dang, I'm a cis woman and my mom wouldn't let me wear makeup at all as a kid. She hardly ever wore any herself, but she wouldn't even let me try on her lipstick... Honestly I think I have some gender expression issues myself as a result, so good on this mom!

I think he's got a great talent and should explore it! I can't tell which half the makeup artist did and which half Nathan did! This is a great example of do what you love and you'll be happy! Maybe even win an Emmy or an Oscar!

That's everything nice, but should be all of this child "exploration" and "just being kid" on the internet? I definitely wouldn't be ok with internet full od photos of every wierd stuff I did as a child. Specially when there is a controversy in it. I am strongly against sharing photos of kids like this, they can't tell if it's good for them in the future, they don't know they can't delete things like that once their parents posted.

Well this kid is very creative and he wants to be a famous kid despite opinions other people. For him most to reach his goal and to get joy, after that to understand if should he to continue increase his skills or not. I am proud his confident to be himself. For example this is awful if he will be in my awful country calls wild Russia.

I think it's ok for him to experiment , and well done to his mum, I mean year ago men wore makeup and powdered wigs but they werent all gay and if they were there's nothing wrong in that ,and this little boy just has an interest in make up and it might be a passing phase, he's only 8 and he's having fun xx

More parents should be open to allowing their children to explore whatever it is that makes them happy. As long as it's not hurting the child, then why not let them try things? Gender roles should be loosened up, girls wear jeans, t-shirts, etc, which is considered traditionally to be what males wear. What's wrong with boys wearing girls clothes? Makeup? Whatever makes them feel good about themselves, is great!

I think this little artist have found his calling in life already, which takes most people a lifetime to find... I am sure he will be a famous artist or a makeup of the stars and that he is destine for greatness in his future. With a little encouragement ... Get him some paints and canvas and see what he can do with that. Encourage him to use his talents in more ways than one ....
