Gay Couple Dresses Up Their Italian Greyhound In Trendy Clothes, And She Has Become A Fashion Icon (71 Pics)
There's a dog roaming the streets in Montreal that turns heads everywhere she goes. The diva Tika the Iggy, an Italian greyhound, has recently become the trendiest fashion icon in the doggy world. Her two gay dads dress her up in fashionable clothing, ranging from faux fur to onesies and tracksuits, in order to warm her up and protect her from the relatively cold Canadian climate, so it's not only just for the aesthetics, but also has practical reasons. Since Italian Greyhounds are desert dogs with relatively short fur, from about October to May, it's too cold to go out naked.

Despite the practical necessity, her two dads love to have fun with it, and try to dress Tika the Iggy in very trendy clothes. They find them at local stores, as her shape is very unique, and clothes from general stores just don't seem to fit right. And boy oh boy, don't they fit her just perfectly? She looks like a lean Italian model in them, if I dare say so myself.

She looks so good, in fact, that it caught the attention of fashion giants such as Vogue and other trend-setting media outlets out there. Tika the Iggy even gets paid for her photo sessions, making her a true professional model. But it's not just for the money. Her dads say that her diva personality is not an act, and she's a true princess in all aspects of her life. She sleeps for 22 hours a day due to her age. Why do we need to know the owners are gay? Nothing wrong at all with that, but if it doesn’t add anything to the story more than stereotype people it is not necessary. The dog is looking fabulous btw and so does the couple.

Greyhounds and whippets are sensitive to cold, and quite happy with coats and fleeces. As soon as the temperature went down to 5°C, our boys had their coats on.

Mother in law has 2 Italian Greyhounds. No body fat on them, so they are always cold. Hers wear sweaters or snuggle under blankets, so they are a breed that needs to wear clothes.
