Every Day This Dog Rides The Bus All By Herself To Go To The Park
Meet Seattle’s celebrity dog, Eclipse, who takes a bus to a nearby park all by herself. “All the bus drivers know her. She sits here just like a person does,” fellow rider Tiona Rainwater told KOMO. “She makes everybody happy. How could you not love this face?”
It all started when the black Labrador and Mastiff mix was at a bus stop with her owner Jeff Young. Her human was taking too long to finish his cigarette. So, when the bus arrived, the pooch just got on it by herself and got off at the park. Since that day, the owner knows he can always catch up with her later in the park. The guy realized this smart girl can ride those 3-4 stops on the D line on her own and always knows where to get off.
Although some officers say that Eclipse should ideally be on a leash, King County allows dogs on public transport at the discretion of a driver. So, as this pooch causes no harm but only makes passengers smile, the drivers are always more than happy to give this four-legged miss a lift.
What about the doggie herself? Well, she seems to be proud of herself. Besides, her Facebook profile says: “I love my big city life and enjoy taking the D line daily to the Belltown dog park.” What a smart doggie!

Share on FacebookSmart pup! And very kind people those who allow her to ride the bus! Here dogs are not allowed in a bus unless they are in a leash and wear a muzzle. I have a lab and worst thing ge can do is sniff your butt and jump on you for a pat. He's not going to wear a muzzle because an idiot decided dogs are bad and dirty. Some people are worse and dirtier than a dog.
That's so sweet! But also a little sad, as I wonder if the owner still goes with her sometimes? I hope so! :)
Yeah, thats something I wonder, too. Also.. smart dog or not, I would fear two things: that not all people are good and that you never know how people react that may be afraid of dogs or if there are other dogs that don't like her or vise versa, and that something could happen that could have bad consequences all because I let her walk allne by herself
Load More Replies...I would argue how "cute" this actually is. I feel sorry for the number of human children and dogs who are left to fend for themselves because their self-absorbed, irresponsible parents are pre-occupied with other things (cell phone, cigarettes, drinking, etc). Clearly the owner has proven what means most to him... his cancer sticks.
This girl's owner is clearly an idiot. City streets are not safe for dogs to wander alone, no matter how accustomed they are to their surroundings. Would you let your four year old take themselves to the park alone?
What a cool dog... I hope she doesn't have to do this very often someone may take her. She is adorable.
I wish Australia allowed dogs in restaurants and public transport! Oh, and on planes!
Dogs can start to regonise routine so the owner must have done it everyday for a while for the doggy to understand that. Its still adorable though
He's such a a-hole who the hell would do that- or even smoke next to a dog. I'm sorry someone needs to adopt this dog and save her. Please
Agree with you. Imagine if it were a child left to ride the bus and play in the park alone, because idiot dad needs a few more sucks on his cig.
Load More Replies...The dog seems fine, and besides, even if he did begin to neglect her, which doesn't seem likely, most of the bus people would adopt her.
There are other dogs that need more help. She is fine. Everyone here is still watching her.
The dog is a full blooded English style lab..not mixed with Mastiff....
