I was thinking of getting a tattoo to cover my scar from my port from chemo was thinking a pink ribbon but now I'm thinking of a dog paw print cause my doggie Alex help so much to get through it, she's no longer with me but I'm sure i can have them do a black lab paw print with her name and the date she past thanks for the thought . I miss her so much 😢

Lol, I think that's because a tattoo is basically a minor wound, and dogs seem to loooove the smell of wounds. When I cut my finger, my mums dog kept trying to sniff it and lick it, same with my foot when I had an infection, and when I burnt myself. They can tell when you've got an open wound even if they can't see it!

My 18 year old cat, has not been doing well lately. not sure how much time i have with her, and i've been struggling heavily with it. I think when the time comes, this will the purrrfect way to honor her, by getting it on my side, as she was by my side in real life since child hood.

Same here... never cared for tattoos. But this one had a meaning to me. I have a big 160lbs newfoundland dog with bear paws, and i know he wont be with me forever. His massive paw tattoo would be a solid reminder of the big imprint he did in my life.

A friend of mine had one of her deceased dogs paw prints tattooed on her. On her side where the dog always jumped up. The tattoo had some of her dog's ashes mixed with the ink <3
