This Dog Ran Away From An Illegal Meat Farm In Bali, We Helped Her Heal And Found Her A Home
Mo’s tale is a story of resilience, the will to live, and a testament to what a little bit of compassion can do.
This innocent girl was found lying in a gutter in Bali, starving, half-dead. Her mouth was taped shut and her back legs were tied together with a shoelace. Like so many others, Mo was the victim of the illegal dog meat trade that still operates in Bali. Unlike so many others, Mo was considered lucky. It is believed little Mo fell off the back of the dog meat catcher’s bike and scuttled into a drain where she hid for two weeks. Thank God.

Through all the trauma and abuse Mo suffered, the biggest physical challenge she faced was healing her snout. The tape had cut off the blood circulation and the flesh was dying. She was raced into surgery where her snout was carefully sutured in place, along with skin grafts. The team held their breath—they didn’t know if she would make it through such intense surgery after what she had been through. Mo woke up and her tail started wagging.

Slowly, with rehabilitation, time, and love, Mo started to heal
She began to gain weight, blood flow returned, and she regained feeling in her snout. Her confidence crept back and her personality shined. Sweet, cuddly, and still trusting of humans, despite the pain she had been through, Mo flourished into the beautiful dog she had always been.

The first night she came home, she slept solidly for 10 hours snuggled up on her pawrents’ bed! She spends her days playing with her canine siblings, nibbling on delicious treats, and receiving lots of hugs and kisses.
Mo is finally living the life every dog deserves to live and her sorrow and pain is in the past

Agreed. It'd be nice if the world worked that way... but it doesn't. The good suffer needlessly all over the planet, and the wicked have prospered and lived happy lives throughout history - and will continue to do so. Karma is pure wishful thinking - the only justice out there is the justice we have to create ourselves for atrocities like this

Exactly the same is too much mercy... 3 or 4 times worse sounds fair to me. For now, im absolutely happy that those psychopath bitches got pissed off after loosing their smart tortured dog meant to be a money income, only to realize that now, that same dog is in a home 100 times better they would ever get. I Wish the best for those poor good boys n girls that are unfairly fated to a horrible destiny... i wish for all the cages to open and the psychos get their feet tied up together, while the dogs run free. Chaotic justice if needed.

Also read the book "The Secret Life of Plants" some scientific evidence has shown many plants can feel and even warn other plants of danger. So if that's the case what can humans eat to survive? Sentience simply means the ability to feel sensations its separate from the ability to think.

This is the typical argument against plant-based (vegan) diet the meat, dairy, tons of eggs eaters make, very shallow excuse for eating more than one million animals every single hour. They do not want to hear that people who do not consume meat and dairy eat the fraction of plants what animals on meat-eaters' plates have eaten!!! 80 % of crops planted goes to feed farm animals. Animal agriculture is a major contributor to our planet's most significant environmental threats, greater than industrial and transportation combined. Animal agriculture produces methane - the potent climate killer. Cows produce 150 billion gallons CH4 - methane per day and other - monogastic animals do also. Carbon dioxide fertilizes plants, methane kills them. However, every sort of waste almost 8 billion humans create, including CO2 - carbon dioxide, is way, way too much.

Kittygirl, not knowing is no justification for doing wrong, not to mention excuse to do/cause cruelty. Farm animals also are NOT murdered humanely - which means they are not stunned before they are hanged upside down and have their throats cut (the slaughter industry wants to make a lot of profit and to cater to an insatiable appetite of meat eaters) and even if they were they are scared. Telling the truth to those who does not want to hear it is not aggressive.

Don't tell me that eating meat makes people sick, that's simply wrong. Of course, anything can make you sick if you excessively eat it, no matter if it's carrots, beef or honey. If a human eats zero meat, it can result in blindness, metabolic problems, soft breaking cartilage, weak bones, circulatory breakdown and even result in death. Of course it's possible to eat special things to replace the missing vitamins, but some such as B12 aren't naturally given in anything else than meat and you'll be forced to eat them all your life to prevent yourself from getting sick. Most people simply don't want to do that much just to assure they don't kill or harm themselves with their diet, and sure as hell not everybody wants to eat pills every day. But I agree with you that people should get their meat from good sources, no mass factory farming or indoor farms. And about your last argument, eating meat is absolutely normal in nature at this planet, everything dies and (sadly) that's oftenly connected to suffering. Do you really think that if humanity would become vegan tigers would start eating grass instead of flesh too? Do you think it's my fault, as a meat eater, that eagles kill mice and eat them, sometimes even alive? This argument is invalid. Greeting from a person that lives close to an "animal friendly" Swiss slaughterhouse.

Zedrapazia, people who adopted the whole plan-based (vegan) diet are NOT blind, do NOT have metabolic problems, NO soft breaking cartilage, NO weak bones, NO circulatory breakdown but, they are totally healthy till an advanced age, they have STRONGER and DENSER bones, they do not need to get pills like meat, dairy, eggs eaters do.The vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber, phytonutrients are ONLY provided by plants! So animal-protein eaters - need to take many, many vitamin supplements to even survive, as opposed to plant eaters. By the way micro-vitamin B12 is in nutritional yeast, see weed, and algae. - You are not tiger or any other predatory animal. The human digestive system is very similar to that of fruit, nut and seed eating animal. Please read the books I mentioned above in response to Call Me Mars. The nature sure is cruel, if human beings want to co-exist peacefully with each other they must disassociate themselves from nature's brutality first!!! Please do not spread misinformation how plant-based diet effects human health when you did not experienced it yourself. -"The only source of knowledge is experience." - Albert Einstein. Frankly, as long as you do not only eat organic meat products (or no meat products at all), your argument does not hold. Factory farming of beef and other meats also means a life in agony for any of the animals kept there. Pigs and cows are known to be intelligent and caring; chicken might not be as bright as them but their are undoubtedly social and sentient. I will not judge whether humans are entitled to eat animals or not, but raising them in any ways but to those standard of organic meat it undoubtedly unethical, and anyone eating meat with arguments like "I cannot afford organic" supports this cruelty, although it is hidden away from us in the Western world.

I would argue that no animal is meat, all animals want to live free of pain and suffering and do NOT want to die, just like you and I and any other human. I think this is so great, but I wish that ALL animals bred and raised for consumption could be treated better. =( Pigs are intelligent animals similar to dogs, and it makes me wince when I think about them being mistreated just as well. And no, I'm not vegan or vegetarian, I just strongly believe that humans and animals can live together in better conditions. I also strongly distrust facilities that mistreat animals, because you know a farm doing stuff like that is also cutting corners in other ways as well.

I wish I could make disgusting people that abuse animals feel the same way they made them feel. It's absolutely gut wrenching. I cant read or see animal abuse. It makes me very depressed and I'll dwell on it for days I try to skip to the end of these posts when the animals are happy loved and healthy. People should get life in prison and yes I'm a vegan. I don't judge animal and companion eaters I just can't do it myself.

Who ever wanted to eat sweet baby Mo, really missed out on a great opportunity to have such a amazing dog. But in some cultures this does happen, and it just a way of life. I know someone stated something similar elsewhere. But eating dog/cat/horse/cows these are all cultural differences. I dont think that the inhumane conditions are acceptable dont get me wrong but we view dogs and cats not as food simply because they are domesticated animals. If they were raised as chickens, cows, or hogs then we'd only think of them as livestock.

I will say it again... I am 100%, categorically against eating carnivores. And am also 100% against abusing/mistreating animals reared for their meat. People globally need to eat much less meat- mammals, fish, fowl etc.- and factory farming needs to be abolished forever.

Look, nobody treats pigs in slaughterhouses and stuff as bad as dogs at dog markets. It's true barbarian work, those people believe the dog meat will taste better if they suffer immense pain before death. This goes from boiling, skinning, burning, roasting dogs alive, beating them dead with baseball bats, tying them together and tossing them around, breaking their bones, cutting off their muzzles and pass .

I just don't understand, thousands of dogs are put down because they aren't adopted every year, and in lots of cultures, dog meat is something that they traditionally eat. lots of people have pet bunnies and yet eating rabbit meat is perfectly acceptable. So why can't people eat stray dog meat if they want to?? Maybe it is because i don't have a dog, I just feel like eating dog meat isn't as awful as everyone makes it out to be.

Exactly the same is too much mercy... 3 or 4 times worse sounds fair to me. For now, im absolutely happy that those psychopath bitches got pissed off after loosing their smart tortured dog meant to be a money income, only to realize that now, that same dog is in a home 100 times better they would ever get. I Wish the best for those poor good boys n girls that are unfairly fated to a horrible destiny... i wish for all the cages to open and the psychos get their feet tied up together, while the dogs run free. Also read the book "The Secret Life of Plants" some scientific evidence has shown many plants can feel and even warn other plants of danger. So if that's the case what can humans eat to survive? Sentience simply means the ability to feel sensations its separate from the ability to think.

Kittygirl, not knowing is no justification for doing wrong, not to mention excuse to do/cause cruelty. Farm animals also are NOT murdered humanely - which means they are not stunned before they are hanged upside down and have their throats cut (the slaughter industry wants to make a lot of profit and to cater to an insatiable appetite of meat eaters) and even if they were they are scared. Telling the truth to those who does not want to hear it is not aggressive.

Don't tell me that eating meat makes people sick, that's simply wrong. Of course, anything can make you sick if you excessively eat it, no matter if it's carrots, beef or honey. If a human eats zero meat, it can result in blindness, metabolic problems, soft breaking cartilage, weak bones, circulatory breakdown and even result in death. Of course it's possible to eat special things to replace the missing vitamins, but some such as B12 aren't naturally given in anything else than meat and you'll be forced to eat them all your life to prevent yourself from getting sick. Most people simply don't want to do that much just to assure they don't kill or harm themselves with their diet, and sure as hell not everybody wants to eat pills every day. But I agree with you that people should get their meat from good sources, no mass factory farming or indoor farms. And about your last argument, eating meat is absolutely normal in nature at this planet, everything dies and (sadly) that's oftenly connected to suffering. Do you really think that if humanity would become vegan tigers would start eating grass instead of flesh too? Do you think it's my fault, as a meat eater, that eagles kill mice and eat them, sometimes even alive? This argument is invalid. Greeting from a person that lives close to an "animal friendly" Swiss slaughterhouse.

Zedrapazia, people who adopted the whole plan-based (vegan) diet are NOT blind, do NOT have metabolic problems, NO soft breaking cartilage, NO weak bones, NO circulatory breakdown but, they are totally healthy till an advanced age, they have STRONGER and DENSER bones, they do not need to get pills like meat, dairy, eggs eaters do.The vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber, phytonutrients are ONLY provided by plants! So animal-protein eaters - need to take many, many vitamin supplements to even survive, as opposed to plant eaters. By the way micro-vitamin B12 is in nutritional yeast, see weed, and algae. - You are not tiger or any other predatory animal. The human digestive system is very similar to that of fruit, nut and seed eating animal. Please read the books I mentioned above in response to Call Me Mars. The nature sure is cruel, if human beings want to co-exist peacefully with each other they must disassociate themselves from nature's brutality first!!! Frankly, as long as you do not only eat organic meat products (or no meat products at all), your argument does not hold. Factory farming of beef and other meats also means a life in agony for any of the animals kept there. Pigs and cows are known to be intelligent and caring; chicken might not be as bright as them but their are undoubtedly social and sentient. I will not judge whether humans are entitled to eat animals or not, but raising them in any ways but to those standard of organic meat it undoubtedly unethical, and anyone eating meat with arguments like "I cannot afford organic" supports this cruelty, although it is hidden away from us in the Western world.

I think this is so great, but I wish that ALL animals bred and raised for consumption could be treated better. =( Pigs are intelligent animals similar to dogs, and it makes me wince when I think about them being mistreated just as well. And no, I'm not vegan or vegetarian, I just strongly believe that humans and animals can live together in better conditions. I also strongly distrust facilities that mistreat animals, because you know a farm doing stuff like that is also cutting corners in other ways as well.

I wish I could make disgusting people that abuse animals feel the same way they made them feel. It's absolutely gut wrenching. I cant read or see animal abuse. It makes me very depressed and I'll dwell on it for days I try to skip to the end of these posts when the animals are happy loved and healthy. People should get life in prison and yes I'm a vegan. I don't judge animal and companion eaters I just can't do it myself.

I know someone stated something similar elsewhere. But eating dog/cat/horse/cows these are all cultural differences. I dont think that the inhumane conditions are acceptable dont get me wrong but we view dogs and cats not as food simply because they are domesticated animals. If they were raised as chickens, cows, or hogs then we'd only think of them as livestock.

Look, nobody treats pigs in slaughterhouses and stuff as bad as dogs at dog markets. It's true barbarian work, those people believe the dog meat will taste better if they suffer immense pain before death. This goes from boiling, skinning, burning, roasting dogs alive, beating them dead with baseball bats, tying them together and tossing them around, breaking their bones, cutting off their muzzles and pass .
