last tuesday i had a after school detention it was for 1 and a half hours, it was a punishment for messing around in class, i am 14 years old and this is my first detention, my friend said i should skip the detention and go bowling with her instead, she said that the teachers never know who is supposed to be in detention or not, i took her advice and skipped the detention, the next morning my head of year called me into her office and asked me why i did not attend detention, i had NO excuse, she told me i would be punished with a 4 hour saturday detention, we have have to be in school at 9am for a FULL school uniform inspection, white shirt, black skirt, black blazer and school tie, we have to have our top buttons done up and tie neat and tidy, and shoes polished, we then have to sit at our desks in TOTAL silence and write a 4 page essay on why we are being punished, after 2 hours a 15 minute break, then we have to go back to our desks and copy out our essays 2 times , only after this are we free to go home, if this is not punishment enough i still have to serve my original 1 hour 30 minute detention on friday is this fair ?

Of course it’s fair. You skipped detention. Why on earth wouldn’t you go? Of course serving detention isn’t optional. Can you even think?

saturday detention is a horrible punishment, i hate wearing school uniform even on a school day let alone on a saturday, my older sister who is 21 picked me up from my saturday detention at around 1pm, then took me to do the shopping in FULL school uniform, then took me to my cousins house,, still in school uniform, she said this was all part of my punishment, is this fair ?
