If you loved Big Hero 6, you’re going to love Baymax! Set in the same universe as the movie, it follows the adventures of the inflatable health robot. He knows he was created to help people, so help he shall, whether the residents of San Fransokyo asked for it or not. Hilarity ensues as Baymax sets out on his mission. And yet, he manages to bring some healing to those he comes in contact with.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

When his apprentice Anakin Skywalker turned to the Dark Side, Obi-Wan Kenobi lost faith in the ways of the Jedi and went into hiding on Tatooine to keep an eye on Luke. But as he is wanted by the Inquisitors of the Galactic Empire, they kidnap Luke’s sister Leia, knowing full well that Obi-Wan will be the only person Leia’s adoptive parents will turn to for help. Obi-Wan Kenobi was definitely one of the most awaited Disney shows. And although it gets some criticism for its writing, everyone definitely enjoys watching Ewan McGregor reprise his role from the trilogy.

The Villains of Valley View

And while covering up her activities took some effort, she was glad to be serving the greater good. But then one day she learned that it was actually a worldwide criminal and espionage organization that had nothing to do with the CIA. Worst part – her father is a part of that organization. Now, recruited by the actual CIA, Sydney has to remain within the organization to destroy it from the inside. Though it was produced over 20 years ago, Alias will appeal to modern audiences just as much.

America the Beautiful

It is not always easy to travel around the country, especially one as big as the United States. But with America the Beautiful you can go on a road trip without leaving your home, visit the wilderness, admire landscapes and animals living in this region, while the voice of Michael B. Jordan tells the story of the place. However, it’s not all about the magnificent nature. The show reminds you of climate change and how it affects animals who try to adapt to the new environment.

Ms. Marvel

This was Kamala Khan’s life until one day superpowers were delivered to her. Literally, in a package from her grandmother. From that moment on, Kamala can live the life she has always admired and see for herself whether it’s as much fun as she imagined it to be. Besides the general positive impression and charismatic acting of Iman Vellani, Ms. Marvel gets credit for its fresh artistic style.  

Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers

Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers might be older than some of the parents of its audience, but the charm and entertainment power of this oldie still holds. Originally produced by Disney Television Animation, it was only natural it was featured on Disney Plus right from the launch of the streaming service. Chipmunks Chip and Dale form a detective agency to solve mysteries and often uncover serious crimes. Together with their friends Gadget, Monterey Jack, and Zipper, they face various scheming villains of the animal world but always come out on top.    

Glee

2009 | Seasons: 6

Glee is one of the more mature shows on Disney channel, and its shift to the platform clearly indicated that Disney was ready to cater to a wide variety of audiences. This iconic musical TV show of the late 2000s focuses on a group of high schoolers who attend the school’s show choir but also deal with usual teenage life, figuring out relationships, values, and principles. While it received generally positive feedback for its writing and performances, the musical production was sometimes criticized for being overproduced.

The Owl House

While the three of them try to get rid of Eda’s curse, learn the truth about King’s past, and help Luz get back to the Human Realm, they also need to confront a powerful evil that wants to destroy the human world. While complimented for its great writing and performances, The Owl House received acclaim for being the first Disney property to include a same-sex couple as the leads and general LGBTQIA+ representation.

Once

Once, also sometimes stylized as O11CE, is a telenovela about an Argentinian teenager, Gabo, who dreams of playing football professionally. His talent gets noticed and secures him a scholarship to the Sports Academic Institute. But by the time Gabo arrives in Buenos Aires to start his training, most of his teammates have opted out to pursue their education or careers elsewhere. It is now up to Gabo to rebuild the team and lead them to success, though not everyone who still remains on the team will be happy about his role. And although football is the main topic, like any respectable telenovela, it also includes drama, family history, rivalry, and of course, love.
