All of our favorite movies went a long way before they were developed into the final flick. At the very beginning, each of them was just a simple concept born in a filmmaker's mind which had to be communicated to a variety of different professionals involved in the process. How do they do that, you may wonder? Well, probably the easiest way is just to sketch out what they created with their imagination.
Clearly, pre-visualization is an important part of filmmaking. Envisioning how something will look and actually seeing it are two different things. So, to create the best possible sequence of actions for a movie, creators use storyboards to show the whole progress. Storyboarding usually doesn't require any drawing skills. As long as you are able to send the idea across, you're good to go. That's why so many famous directors aren't afraid to make rough and loose sketches for the masterpieces they are creating. Of course, some of them hire professional storyboarding artists who make the movie look just as good on paper as they will look on film.
We here at Bored Panda decided to explore the world of movie pre-visualization and gathered some interesting sketches of well-known movies. Scroll below for the list!
