Disney ‘Humanimalized’: Animal Characters Turned Into Humans And Humans Into Animals (20 Pics)
Interview With ArtistDisney characters are distinct and special. They have their own style, aesthetic, and personal traits, which is why they're so memorable. But let's take a detour from the canon and ask ourselves "what if something was a little different about them?" What if, for example, Bambi was a human being, and Cruella de Vil was a dog herself? What would they look like then?
Now you may wonder no more, as Alex Pick has concocted images that satisfy this peculiar interest. He has turned the animal characters to humans, and did the reverse to the human characters. The artist calls the series "Disney humanimals," which is pretty self-explanatory.
The artist explained his motivation behind the series to Bored Panda. "It was an idea already for a very long time to transform the animals into humans and also the other way around! I like these switched roles and those kind of mashups," he told us. If you like his work, you can check out his Instagram account apiccolodraws, which has 113k followers, and see more of his fun mashups, which include characters from Harry Potter and others.

Alley Cat Musicians, Duchess And Thomas
This is incredible! I've always thought that Duchess would wear her hair in a loose elegant bun or French twist though.
Probably because she was voiced by the beautiful Eva Gabor, who often wore her own hair that way. It's a subconscious association.
Load More Replies...It really looks like the art style that Disney animators usually use! Amazing!
could i have permission make bases of your artwork and submit them to deviantart as long as i credit you
The author told about his background with animation and drawing: "I have always been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil! I never wanted to do anything else! I dreamed to work for Disney as a kid, and to see my name on the screen or in the cinema in the credits of movies! Since 2000, I’ve been working as a designer for a German animation studio! And in my free time, I draw a lot of fanart."
Jock And Trusty
Is Jock a girl or a boy? In the real life version Jock's a girl, but in the cartoon version, Jock looks like a boy. Explanation, anyone?
Peg And Lady
The white dog reminds me of Goldie Hawn Capture-60...8ebe80.jpg
Spaniel dogs are always really fun to draw. Their ears look like hair.
I kind of want a movie with reversed roles. People sneaking out to eat spaghetti served by a chunky italian Boston Terrier without their dogs knowing.
I always thought Lady, looked like Karen Carpenter for some reason & yes, I always thought the other resembled Goldie Hawn
His favorite Disney movies "are some of the classic 2D animated ones like The Little Mermaid or 101 Dalmatians, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast. There are so many! But I also love the 3Ds like Tangled, Moana, and Frozen!"
Miss Bianca And Bernhard
I don't know maybe it's personal bias, I just assumed Bernard would look a bit younger (not that he looks TOO old in this, I do like the designs a lot!)
Yes it is! Also loved Rescuers Down Under.
Load More Replies...Cruella De Wuff And Nanny
Cruella definitely gives me that extremely pampered dog who plays nice whenever her owner is near by vibes. But as soon as the owner is out, she goes full on Devil.
I could immediately tell who the dog on the left was before looking at the caption.
Yes yes yes yeesssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sooooo perfect! Nanny looks like a darling sweet pooch!
Alex also shared what he plans on doing next. "There are so many on my list: for example: now I've started with Robin Hood. In the future, there will be characters from Alice in Wonderland, The Lion King, Zootopia, and many, many more."
Abigail And Amelia Gabble
Rita
Perdita And Pongo
Art is amazing. Random thought, if Pongo and Perdita were people that'd mean perdita had about 16 children AT THE SAME TIME and adopted 85 more children. Is that even possible??
why does the guy look a lot like the dog's owner?Anybody else see that?
Bambi, Thumper, Flower
I would've made them different. Bambi would have 2 long red braids going to her waist, and a bright peach dress with yellow, and blue flowers. Thumper would be tinier, and have greyish silver hair, and Flower would have long braids goint all the way down her back with white and black stripes in them. She would have a grey dress with white polka dots.
I never watched the movie, but I read the picture book. I know Bambi's a boy and I think Thumper is too, I'm not sure about Flower, but I think she's a girl
Load More Replies...Lady And The Tramp
The movie came out in 1955, so back then most guys probably dressed like that. :p
Load More Replies...Ladie's necklace looks like Pochahontase's. but does it bother anyone else that Lady looks 16 and [dang whats his name?] looks like 30?
is she trying to cosplay scooby doo without spot, just teasing.Great work
Si & Am
to be honest all Disney Siamese cats were very racist characters and I wish they could portray these beautiful cats better
I used to have a Siamese who i would sing this to when I was little, broke my heart when I grew up and realized how racist it is.
had a Siamese when i was 3, my cousin's house also had a Siamese
Load More Replies...Oliver And Dodger
um this seems a bit creepy as human, also dont dodger almost looks like his owner
Dodger works for me but something about Oliver's design seems kind of lacking? (Maybe changing the hair a bit would work?)
Georgette
Wowser! Reminds me of Jessica Rabbit in “Who framed Roger Rabbit”. Those two should meet.
Frou-Frou, Toulouse, Marie, Berlioz
Maid Marian
THere is never a need to change a fox to a human--NEVER--but I'll give this an exception
Quite possibly my all time *favourite* adaptation of the Robin Hood stories.
AHH! I watched this movie ALL THE TIME when I was younger and I saw it on Disney plus a couple months back and started watching it, and I started BAWLING it was so NOSTALGIC!!!
I always pictured this Maid Marian as having darker skin. More like the color around the fox eyes.
Madame Adelaide Bonfamille
I love the eyes! They capture who the character really is.
Madame Adelaide was a former music Hall girl who looked trim and fit in her later years. Her feline self is perfect except for the dark circles around her eyes.
Load More Replies...If she were real, I feel like she'd be thrilled that someone made this of her.
I think she should be a little more plush looking. Really good bar that though.
Tito And Georgette
It's her calf, and she's wearing heels. Heels make you do that if they are high enough. It's not unrealistic.
Load More Replies...Uncle Waldo And Roquefort
Lady, Tramp, Jock And Trusty
Miss Bianca And Bernhard
I kind of like Bernard here without the facial hair here though.
Load More Replies...If they could mix the other one with this version Bernard it would be Perfect
They're pretty old Disney movies. Their release dates all ranging from the 40's to the 70's. There's The Rescuers, Aristocats, Oliver and Company, Robin Hood, Lady and The Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, and Bambi. They're really good movies, very nostalgic. Would definitely recommend :))
Load More Replies...One of the most intriguing aspects of Disney characters is their distinguishable aesthetics and unique qualities. In exploring alternate interpretations of these beloved figures, Alex Pick offers a fresh perspective by reimagining the animal icons as humans, and human characters with animal traits. His work aligns perfectly with his ongoing interest in portraying Disney characters in innovative ways.
This creative venture can be further expanded upon by delving into how he skillfully transforms animated figures, maintaining their essential charm.
These were super cool. You could definitely see the old characters in the new. Captured them perfectly.
I love that Aristocats & Oliver were features - they don't get enough attention! :)
These were a lot of fun. I love how you can clearly tell who the characters are after humanizing them--or in some cases, animalizing them.
Yes! I fully expected to go "ugh another disney post" but these were so perfect.
Load More Replies...These were amazing! I really liked how the human versions still looked like the type of animation from back them.
I love almost all of them. They're really nicely done. However, Bambi and Thumper were way too cute as animals and that doesn't quite translate into the human version. They're cute as kids as well but as animals they were stinking cute and adorable.
Great would have liked a bit more racial diversity as the dogs have darker fur too
Well most of them are european breeds so it makes sense that they are caucasian. Same as it makes sense that the Lion King cast would be african
