Artist Replaces The Cast Of Movies & TV Shows with Disney Characters, And It’s Oddly Fitting (21 Pics)

And this time, going with the theme of classics, we've made a collection of Disney characters inside iconic movies & popular TV series. Surprisingly, the mixture doesn't look weird at all. In a sense, the famous characters created by Disney seem like natural-born actors, albeit fictional ones, and they blend right in today's popular culture. And who wouldn't want these Disney movie icons to make "just one more appearance"?

All of these "Disney experiments", as some would call it, are a part of Gregory Masouras' #AnimationInReality project, which started in 2012 and has since gained 136k followers on Instagram. Like most ideas that are successful, it began as an innocent attempt. Gregory wanted to try out his smartphone camera on the streets of his city, Athens. One fateful day, he came across a cloud that looked like a batman logo. "The moment I started editing that photo, an idea was born in my mind," the artist told Bored Panda.

Ever since he came up with the idea, he ran with it. Initially, he began editing-in the faces of popular characters in his photos. The artist explained that to him what's attractive about Disney characters is that they're easy to "integrate into reality. My purpose would be the liberation of the adult imagination by using tools that were up to now reserved for younger audiences." Gregory's focus is "to combine all of the Disney characters with current events, personas, pop culture and different projects."

Even though Disney produces loads of new material and is as prolific as ever, it may possibly be the only time seeing these iconic Disney characters doing cameos in these popular movies and TV series.
