I Tried To Find Out What These 30 Historical Figures Would Look Like In Modern Times Using The Help Of AI (New Pics)
Digital art done by artificial intelligence is becoming a widespread and trendy phenomenon, and as many more people flock to it, the technology progresses exponentially. Because of this, the recreations done by AI get better in quality: recreations done a year ago are nothing like the ones done recently, and you'll quickly see it for yourselves.
It's my third iteration of AI portraits in this theme. It's always interesting to think that many of us look like someone in the past. In the beginning, when I only started recreating these famous historical personalities, I noted that they don't look all that different from regular people, so I decided to accentuate it by framing it as a modern portrait. The things that followed next are history, and an archived history at that, one which you can check out in the links here, and here.

Her stories varied in the sense that Quitéria fought for the love of her country over the vehement objections of her father, who controlled her life until the choice of a spouse. She grew up working in hunting shooting, encouraged by her mother, who died when Quitéria was still young. To fight the rebel leader Dom Pedro, Quitéria fled her home in 1822 and enlisted in the Brazilian army accompanied by her brother-in-law, wearing one of her old uniforms.
Quitéria assumed the identity of a young male soldier and rose through the ranks for his shooting skills. Things came to a head when her father found her and insisted that her superior officer send her home. Instead, the major refused to let her go, because her skills were too valuable! Unmasked, Quitéria became the first woman to officially serve in the Brazilian army. The army's trust in her also paid off.

Mona Lisa
The statues and paintings are interesting, but I find it odd someone would use AI to figure out what a person in a photograph would look like. You have the photo, you know what he looks like!
I think it's to show how they might have looked today.
Load More Replies...I understand that these people are supposed to have a modern look, but way too much liberty was taken to make them look different than the original photos suggested. Bone structure doesn't change because beauty standards do.
I'm just so bored with this "look what I can type into AI and get" stuff. There's 4 AI sites, that I know of, and most use it to make "art" that they then graphically manipulate or print on canvasses or use as an under-template to BS people that it's true, hand painted/drawn artwork. You can do this all day. It's fun, it's weird at times, it can be very creative to design a thought but the "look what so and so looks like" just takes the basic stats you type in and modernizes it. Yawn.
Load More Replies...No, you're not. Most of these are way off the mark.
Load More Replies...I think is not just me, but why get important historical people and transform them into contemporary people. They change the world and now, they look so simple.
Maybe because paintings and statutes give a sort of mythical quality, and generally are trying to portray these important people at their best. I know what you’re trying to say though, Michelangelo looks like a regular guy when modernised, yet he was an incredible man, revered by his peers and history alike. Does that mean there’s hope for anyone of us if we wanted to study to that level??
Load More Replies...I love looking at these! I’m not sure the ones from the photos are necessary as they could just be colourised, but the ones from paintings and statutes are really interesting.
Bless their little cotton softs.. they tried.. to much artists liberty on these..amazing that the renders aren't real people though.. well, some are obvious..
Aside from a few misfires, these are absolutely incredible, and I can hardly contain my fascination.
