I have wondered a few times what this would mean for actual artists. There is no doubt that the AI genreated images are impressive, but they are exactly that. Generated. I think in the longer run it will increase the potential value of an actual piece of art made by human hand. It's like buying a mass produced Ford in comparison to a hand made Bugattis or buying a suit from Walmart against buying one from a Taylor. It can't compete (humble opinion).

I understand your point and concern. I draw digitally and traditionally too, and I understand the importance of hand made art. However, my skills cannot be used to bring my imagination to life the way I want to, which is why I find AI art important: it gives a chance to less skilled people to fulfill their visions.

These are very incredible, Richard. Toaster Teostra I agree with you. AI is very fun to experiment and challenge. I love what it/I create, like a toy. I know a few "artists" who use it to pretty much "do" a painting or watercolor then print it or transfer it to canvas, go over the AI's "work" with their own medium and claim it's an original artwork. It's tracing, it's copying..what have you. I also remember when Photoshop first came out and there were a lot of anger, especially from photographers, that their art and artform were becoming people just lazily slapping a few layers of random stuff they'd get off the internet and make a "photo". Many,. many prize winning photos even in national Geographic and nature contests were clearly Photoshopped. It used to outrage purists and artists who put a lot of love and time into their art. now it's like no one minds if artists "cheat" But I do and agree with you

The eye thing is something that the AI apparently has a bit of a problem with, tho I find it to add an extra level of uniqueness and in some way beauty to these creations. I'm definitely bringing more!
