Artist Reimagines Celebrities In Different Recognizable Cartoon Styles And The Result Is Totally Spot On (17 Pics)
Interview With ArtistDino Tomic is a talented Croatian artist who has become famous for his fascinating tattoos and pencil drawings. Tomic began regularly publishing his work online in 2014 which has since earned him over 250K followers on Facebook and 787K on Instagram. These numbers are insane, but once you check out his art, you instantly understand the man is worth every single one of his fans.
Currently, the pandemic has Tomic trapped inside his home just like so many of us. So, to keep himself busy and his mind sharp, the artist decided to start a fun little side project -- drawing celebrities and characters in different cartoon styles. Tomic has already completed 17 subjects, which means he's designed 153 characters, and the results are absolutely spot-on. Continue scrolling and see for yourself!

"Since I'm stuck inside due to the coronavirus, I wanted to try out something new," Tomic told Bored Panda. And even though these portraits may not have challenged his skills as much as the impressive projects he's known for, they sure were an exciting distraction from what has been going on in the world the past couple of months.
"When I want to expand the series and reimagine someone new, I usually simply listen to my fans and pick one of the famous people they've suggested."
Bob Ross
Tomic has been drawing since kindergarten but he began taking it seriously at about 16 to 18 years old. From that point on, he has almost never had a day when he didn't draw something. He's completely self-taught and is constantly stepping outside his comfort zone to continue learning. If you want to see what the artist is truly capable of, head on to his social media accounts and check out his large scale family portraits. That series has taken him 3 years to finish and it's the one he's most proud of.

Usually I get bored with these, but the artist kept changing the styles and I really enjoyed it
I love this but I've already seen too many articles before about pop culture characters reskins and recolors like Disney princesses
Yes, but I think BuzzFeed suffers with that problem and they made an article about Disney princess as lukewarm bowls which satirizes this issue and this kind of fanfiction belongs at newgrounds or devianart
Load More Replies...This was excellent! I know that some of these people/characters have actually been in some of these roles, which makes it even funnier to me for some reason. Thank you!
These were fun! I liked the South Park style ones, they made me giggle.
Am I the only one that passionately is thankful for the Gorillaz and Adventure Time adaptations?
Well, the thought behind it isn't very original. But the way it's presented and the different art-styles makes this an interesting article that stands out above the rest for me. I would 10.0000 times rather see this, than stupid Disney princesses re-imagined like elderly people, pregnant people, modern people or toiletbowls (although this last one i would like to see though :P). Makes this site like a girly site, i don't like it. This article however i do like, the artist has got skills. well done.
Agreed until you said "makes this site like a girly site", websites don't have a gender unless they're specifically touted as for one gender or another. Boredpanda has content geared for men, women, nonbinary people, and most of the content is aimed at no gender in particular so everyone can enjoy it. What is your point here?
Load More Replies...The artist has a bias against people of color. Not trying to be mean but the 3 black/non white men on Bored Panda have no good looking renditions. You can't make Dwayne Johnson look decent in one single image but Trump has a cute rendition and tiger king has a bad a*s image but you made the Rock ugly. You did the same with Michael Jordan and Mike Tyson (not that he is that cute). The artist may not have realized he did this or that might be how people of color are portrayed in some cartoons but come on. Pretty big blindspot.
Lmfao there's always gotta be somebody making a stupid comment about race huh? You realize these are comical drawings right? Even Keanu and Johnny Depp only look cute in like 1 of their pics. Stop making stupid comments looking for a fight where there is none.
