I'm Weronika, I'm a t-shirt designer and illustrator from Poland. For as long as I can remember I was fascinated with nature and animals. As a child, I spent days observing the lives of insects and other small creatures in my garden or watching David Attenborough’s documentaries.

To this day nature still continues to deeply inspire me. I try to express my admiration for the beauty and multitude of life forms through my art. I create detailed drawings of animals often accompanied by plants, fungi, ferns and mosses. Recently I made a series of turtles and tortoises embedded with their natural environments, to express the importance of preserving the natural habitats and the diversity of species. I hope you enjoy!

I have loved drawing since early childhood and I was lucky to have parents who encouraged and supported me. I went to art school where I got familiar with oil painting, clay sculpting, linocuts, and digital art, but I always preferred working with ink pens on small formats and drawing tiny details.

RELATED:

I usually work with an A5 format, those drawings take 1-6 hours to finish. When I work with A4, it takes much longer, and with A3 (which I rarely work with) it takes multiple days to finish.

The most challenging part for me is transferring the idea from my head to paper and composing it. And the most pleasurable part is adding the tiny details after the main outlines are finished. I love meticulous work!

My favorite thing about visual art is recreating the things that I love and appreciate, mostly animals and nature, in a particular aesthetic and having the freedom to sometimes portray them in a way that is "unreal", such as the turtles with corals or mushrooms growing on their shells.

Right now I'm working on a lot of digital projects, creating t-shirt designs mostly for animal sanctuaries. I absolutely love drawing happy farm animals, knowing that they are living safe, peaceful lives!

All of your illustrations are wonderful! You should make them into a coloring book for retail.

30 beautiful and cute animal drawings, I follow Weronika now here on Bored Panda, on Facebook and on Instagram, even though I can´t post myself on Instagram without a cellphone, on her Instagram account I read that she´s located in Amsterdam/NL, one of our 2 grandmas who was originally Bavarian spent many many years there and we visited her when I was 3, 6 and 14 years old.

Note: this post originally had 32 images. It’s been shortened to the top 30 images based on user votes.
