What happens when you mix Classic Mythology with famous cartoons and real life pictures? Well apparently a wonderful world where Wally plays football, Johnny Bravo is a UFC champion, and Homer Simpson, erm, drinks beer…
The creative community at DesignCrowd was asked to take any animated character, from any source, and mix them with photographs.
The series of contests, titled Cartoon Pygmalion, have attracted 1000+ images from designers around the world and feature all sorts of cartoon creations brought to life in a realistic context.
And in case you were wondering, in Greek mythology, Pygmalion was a sculptor who fell in a love with a statue he had carved, which was then brought to life by Aphrodite.

Wow, this kind of put a different spin on things. I always saw Scrat as a pretty big squirrel with gigantic ice age acorns. That would make this the King Kong of tree rats.
