Artist Continues To Create Controversial Illustrations Full Of Hidden Messages (29 New Pics)
Interview With ArtistIf you are a fan of art that is forward, sexually charged, and rather controversial, this might be your lucky day.
Artist Waldemar von Kazak is not afraid of drawing explicit illustrations that serve as a social commentary on today's world. The artist usually mixes fantastic sci-fi pin-up art creating distinct drawings characterized by dark undertones.
For this post, we've selected some images from his gallery that lean towards the safer side, but if you would like to see the full spectrum, feel free to check out his social media accounts for more.

I kinda thought it was along the lines of the white guy being the turkey at Thanksgiving
So a minority killing a white male. Notice the American flag and Beer. So refined..
Oh I thought this was because they are putting human DNA in their foods. Got to love Biden
I love this so much!!! Yups, FINALLY as someone else said!
Reminds me of a shirt I saw that had the MAGA phrase but with Native people on it hahaha
Bored Panda reached out to Waldemar, who kindly told us more about the inspiration behind his art.
“Human civilization, I am referring specifically to Western civilization, is commendable in its continual search for new approaches regarding gender and social categories. Some steps appear quite bold, especially from the perspective of conservatives. These points of tension provide ample material for artistic interpretation. However, I do not consider social satire to be my specialization.
I wouldn’t call it inspiration, although social life is undeniably interesting. I simply have a spontaneous reaction to the news on social media and express it through drawing. Unfortunately, I find myself creating a lot of commercial art, leaving me with little time to illustrate these amusing collisions for myself,” commented Waldemar.
The only time I ever did anything mean to an animal was years ago, when I came upon my cat unraveling a lace project I was knitting. I roared at her, pounced and threw her off the bed. No excuse for what I did. She was ok, forgave me. But she stayed out of my knitting after that.
Load More Replies...So much to see here! The cat's name is Sid, she has a GRAMMY on her TV, that's probably her band playing on the TV, the teeth in the cup (dear God didn't put your teeth in a cup on the floor where the CAT is? Cat hair!)
yeah 😭😭😭 non-knitters be like "any wiggle wiggle with 2 sticks = knitting"
Load More Replies...The cat's named Sid, lol! So many wonderful details here. The Grammy on the TV, dentures in the glass, the pot leaf design on the chair, the remote control chained to her waist. Delightful.
It's why I'd love a copy.its me now! Except I crochet instead of knitting
Load More Replies...I wanted to shout out loud-"now that's what I'm talking about about!!". Surrounded by beauty and yet their eyes are all glued to their phones...
Sometimes at special art exhibits in my city, I'll look up the painting so I can learn more about it, the artist, or order a print of it. Sometimes I take a picture of a painting and post it to encourage other people to go check it out, sometimes I take pictures of my son looking at the art to put in his scrapbook, or just to have later so we can reminisce about our trip to the museum. Sometimes I'm checking my phone because I have a heart monitor and an app on my phone that tracks it because I have a chronic health condition, there's lots of reasons people might have their phone out, it doesn't affect you in any negative way, so why be bothered by it?
Load More Replies...The original is rather lovely. Spent a few minutes looking at it on our honeymoon to Italy.
We wanted to know more about Waldemar’s career shift from a designer to focusing on drawing and illustration. He tried to recall what prompted him to do so: “My transition from design to illustration happened so long ago that I no longer remember what triggered the change. Perhaps I simply grew tired of manipulating nodes in Illustrator.”
I might be looking too far into this but a black coloured robot vs a white robot with wings... Is it a commentary on racism?
There are stories that say mermaids would drown and eat men. Often associated as Sirens (a type of mermaid).
Load More Replies...Many of Waldemar’s artworks delve into controversial topics such as relationships and societal norms. We asked the artist to share what message or emotion he hopes viewers to take away from these pieces.
Waldemar replied: “I believe much of the public reaction can be described as irritation. Some are bothered by short skirts, while others are irritated by long beards. Some are willing to slit throats for their imaginary gods, while others are outraged that most still eat meat. If all cultures become equally tolerant, paradise will come. For now, however, we, as expected of primates, loudly shout and brandish clubs. And unfortunately, some of them are nuclear.”
Yeah, kind of a 'Descendant of Captain Nemo' feel to it. 'nGate' instead of OceanGate, and the overall design and embellishments.
Load More Replies...100% on the Captain Nemo descendant! Decades ago, Disney World had a ride called 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I was really little, but the ride felt like this image!
Journalism = printing dirt. "duck" is another word for fake news in slavic countries.
According to the artist's description: "When journalists brought me a material about literary proof-readers and crazy writers, I thought about Leyendecker. Yes, of course, I draw is not copy and not fan art. But I very much love the times of Joseph Christian Leyendecker's life."
Not much on this one because of Trump's campaign.....yelling anything that disagrees with him as fake news even if it is factually true. But I understand there are articles out there with agendas, planting info true or not (often not) for their own purposes. Frustrating that journalism has long lost its respectablitiy. NPR has self-respect left and some independent news sources. It promotes thoughts and discussions...I give in...had my like.
Women reporting/telling true things about men(the bad apples) and how they treat us and them being surprised to read it because they think it’s salacious and completely untrue all the while adding fuel to the fire thus proving our points about their disgraceful behavior. Idk I’m just grasping at straws here. Anybody agree? I tried. 🤷🏼♀️🙂🤣
Some of Waldemar’s pieces contain explicit or NSFW content. The artist shared his point of view regarding balancing between artistic expression and potentially controversial or sensitive subject matter.
“I do not believe I have any explicit content. Furthermore, overt pornography irritates me. If someone finds something I draw objectionable, they can simply choose not to view my work. It’s not difficult. Of course, the politics of social media and all these shadow bans for nudity seem absurd and hypocritical to me, and artists suffer the most from them.”
The artist calls this one "new cemetry" (their spelling) and made this comment: "New technologies have stepped on a cemetery. Now it is possible to enjoy moving pictures." From here: https://www.deviantart.com/waldemar-kazak/art/new-cemetry-179342287
It looks to me like a kǔlì (bamboo hat/Asian conical sun hat), but the artist is Russian, so maybe it's some ancient Russian hat.
Load More Replies...Jackie Gleason is still disappointed that The Honeymooners only got one season.
Load More Replies...Interesting. The man and woman coming towards her appear to be a bear and a gazelle (the child on a bike near them looks like a bear too).
A pretty girl dressed as she wants to dress has a predator, the wolf on the bench, eyeballing her... She's having to look over her shoulder at all times...
Lastly, Waldemar added: “Do not take offense at artists; most of them are sociopaths, it’s true, but with support, they become kinder and forget their desire to attack Poland.”
The red coffin would indicate the loss of a lover. However, I think it is a symbol of what people have lost in life: passion, energy, adventuring, and the ability to live a colorful life.
...and/or maybe life itself. There's no-one left to make a coffin for her, red or otherwise, now the lover is dead.
Load More Replies...Not sure about peace. Looks like eternal peace to me. Is that bird building a nest in her hair?
The cross on the fence? A bat on the woman who appears to be dead. The starving terrified dog.
I'm in love with the color contrast between the gray day and her yellow outfit!
Not every thin or slender woman is "anorexic".
Load More Replies...Guys, for those of you who don't get it, there isn't a sale. It's showing how inflation makes things more expensive.
My interpretation based solely on the image is that we pay a premium price for things that aren't actually good but are novel and we'd rather look eccentrically wealthy than live a healthy life.
The dollar symbols on the virtual screen are in the wrong place. They should be to the right of each amount on the inverted image.
In parts of the world the currency symbol (including $) goes at the end not the beginning since we say "one dollar" not "dollar one".
Load More Replies...These were the "good old days" the same way today is: only if you are rich!
Load More Replies...Air travel was more convenient before the era of passing through metal detection and pat-downs.
If it's not dystopian, is it really the 21st century, though?
Load More Replies...Launched in April 1961, Vostok 1 carried Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space. Two years later, in June 1963, Vostok 6 carried Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space. These kids look like the Russian counterparts of all the American kids that went to space (or sent their pets up!) in their backyards back when.
Load More Replies...real question : was there a black population in Russia in the 60s/70s? I wonder because of the dark legs of the woman in the upper right (tights?)
… yes? I’m answering respectfully because you asked respectfully, but just so you know, you have to careful or you could easily get people angry at you. I don’t want you to have a bunch of people mad at you or anything, so I’m just going to answer, that yes, people with darker skin live pretty much everywhere now, and lived pretty much everywhere in the 60s/70s. Certain countries or cultures definitely have more or less of various racial populations, because of different cultural histories, and in the far, far, past, there were areas like Africa with only a darker colored population, and areas like Norway etc. with only lighter colored populations, because that’s how the world works, but in 1960’s Russia, the population was not limited to only “white” people.
Load More Replies...The dark haired woman and the little girl seem to be feeding a living being behind the the darkened widow with twisted bars.
Am I the only one who sees the eyes watching the kids from the back?
What made you think so? People (woman and little boy) in the background? If you squint a bit you can see a pair of glowing cat eyes in the hole. Those two are about to offer some food to that stray cat. Other than this, judging by the clothes of characters they are more or less of the same background. Toys are probably made from cardboard and Papier-mâché. There was no such luxury as bright plastic toys back then.
Load More Replies...Reverse shotgun wedding? ... Maybe about Equality for Women? The white laundry seems to look like men's underwear etc
This one is titled "Wedding in Firenze". So... an Italian wedding, apparently.
Hog tied wedding! Either that, or she wants to be a widow fast for a particular reason!
I see marriage as a beautiful thing as long as both people actually love and respect each other. They have to split the chores up and do things together.
Could be what the BB on the soap is referring to, Big Brother.
Load More Replies...Read that book in the 7th grade and was so afraid of 1984 to come.
Load More Replies...Wow. What a representation of the industrialization of Christmas and the killing of its true representation.
As long as there's been mall Santas Christmas has been industrialized.
Load More Replies...Guys pretending to look at the computer, while actually ogling other equipment. The sunglasses are meant to keep the woman from knowing where their eyes are focused.
Look at the picture she's looking at. It appears to be a picture of a lady in her underwear with the number 265 above it. Not sure about the number or what that means but Ennui in French is boredom... Could be that she's fed up with being constantly bombarded with images of "perfect" or "p*rnographic" images in her life
I think it adds to the visual statement of ennui.
Load More Replies...Exaggerated version of the fashionably long sleeves that are in style now.
Load More Replies...Think it's forced conversion the mermaids being locked up (the dam and guards) with no way to escape then the profit casually walks over to force them to convert to a religion effectively making more spiritual slaves (your God is a part of your culture, religion and region so when you accept another picture of a deity you are putting THEIR culture and religion above your own effectively making slaves)
The militarization of religion. The mermaids are to be caught and converted to sing the praise. Notice the sirens like mermaids he is walking away from.
Interesting interpretation. Why are the two he's walking away from that mermaids?? Also if you notice the rod he's caring doesn't have a hook. So I don't know where you get there going to be caught and converted.
Load More Replies...Jesus carrying a fishing pole whole walking towards mermaids... That's kinda sadistic
He's "picking up" The ladies 😅 lol. I'll see myself out 🏃♀️💨🍃
Load More Replies...As a Christian, I'm not sure I entirely agree with this one...
Unfortunately, it's been done countless times in history.
Load More Replies...OK, I don't care who you are, that ballerina chicken is just hilarious!
Okay- Swan Lake, and New Years celebrations? Isn’t there a tradition that Russian TV broadcasts Swan Lake when there is political upheaval/turnover?
... Got too distracted by the sleeping doggie to try and analyse this 💜💜💜
Rorschach has issues with prostitutes, but he was the only one that cared when they were going missing or coming up dead. From what I remember of the comics.
Lol can you imagine having a butt like that? It goes halfway up her back!
Load More Replies...Seems like she is saving a young doe from animal cruelty or basic nature? Little confused for the woman.
Really?? Cuz there's literally nothing real about that picture.
Load More Replies...I don’t know- the cars are all pulled up outside the pizza joint.
Load More Replies...Pretty sure this is both about the recklessness of delivery (all the cars are damaged) and the dog peeing on the very obvious Papa John's cars as John was very controversial and ended up getting ousted by his own company.
Km thinking this one has to do with how people eat and obsessed with veggies and juicing and yet head to toe have on something deemed questionable.... Conscience in one part but oblivious to other things. Following trends they don't really get.
Load More Replies...Especially vs the crazy man's expression! I thought he was a butcher at first!
Load More Replies...Look closer. The butcher is cutting artichokes but the woman is dressed all in leather (boots, belt, jacket and bag).
Same for me as well. I think some of it is based in the country they're from and some of it is.. We don't have the context from the OG posts.
Load More Replies...Are you sure it's AI? The style seems fairly consistent to me.
Load More Replies...Empty and meaningless AI generated c**p for pretentious morons to lap up.
I liked the first three, then every one after that just seemed to be a bunch of random imagery pumped out by an AI.
