I’m writing about a girl who is chosen by the moon to help save the kingdom from the evil Sun King, who happens to be her uncle. She must work with a group of other Chosen Children to save their home. If it sounds a little childish, it’s because it’s going to be a fantasy book for kids around 10. I’m writing it for a younger friend I have who loves to read. :)

I'm writing about a teenage girl who learns that she has the power to move through time and space when she accidentally transports herself to a fantasy world full of castles, phoenixes, and evil villains. Her main focus is getting back home to the world she knows, but on the only day she can get back home, she is forced to choose between a safe return, or the life of her new best friend.

It definitely depends on the person. Some people have an ending already planned in advance, some people have a bunch of ideas and then try to figure out what order to put them in, and some people make stuff up as they go along. With creative writing you have the freedom to do it whatever way you want to!
