Brazilian artist Lucas Nascimento, better known as Dragonarte on social media, illustrates iconic superheroes and other pop culture characters in quirky scenarios we are not used to seeing them in. The artist comes up with crazy ideas to portray what the daily lives of these characters look like when they are off duty.

Have you ever wondered how Spider-Man deals with his laundry using superpowers, how the social media craze affects Tom from Tom & Jerry, what's the one thing Wonder Woman is scared of, or how much nail polish Wolverine uses behind closed doors? Here's a list of new comics full of beloved classical characters, unexpected crossovers, and funny situations.

Lucas Nascimento posted his first comic strip back in 2013. Now his artwork has skyrocketed with 195k followers on Instagram and over 100k followers on Facebook, and his pop culture-inspired cartoons are appreciated all around the globe. The artist has previously shared with us what led him to this success.

"I drew comics—long stories with text. But they didn’t have much reach (they weren’t very popular.) That’s when I decided to draw strips—short stories without dialogue with popular characters—so people from all over the world would understand the stories."

The most interesting part of Nascimento's comics is that well-loved characters from completely different universes collide in one story which takes from 3-4 hours to illustrate depending on the complexity. "I like to make characters from different worlds meet. For example, DC heroes and Marvel heroes,” he said.
