i can understand the father being oblivious enough to not recognize the dog--if it's the son's dog, maybe he didn't have a lot of interaction with it? what i CANT understand is PetSmart GIVING him the wrong dog! i'm guessing the father asked for the dog by name, or at the very least, gave his son's name to be able to pick up the dog--someone should be in serious trouble at PetSmart for this...

Is easy done - some years ago my parents moved house and their big black cat kept returning to the old home half a mile away. Was called on to search one night as he had gone missing again.Went to the old house and called Charlie - got an answering mioww from near the dark driveway - scooped up Charlie and drove back. Only on entering the house and looking closer did i realise i had catknapped someone elses big black moggy.

Another wrong animal memory - not exactly funny though - . We came back from a day out - the neighbours were waiting for us. "We are so sorry - your cat was hit by a car and the guy across the road has buried it for you". I was in tears, loved my cat, eventually we got back in the house only to find my cat fast asleep on the bed.

They do look pretty similar. But is it just me or does Nieves look very dissapointed in the last pic? "I saw you leave with that other dog. We have known each other for 10 years, how could you do this to me?"

So my brother almost did this with me and my best friend, we looked like twins when we were 8. He was yelling at her to get in the car and didn't understand why I wasn't listening to him lol lol

So many animals - particularly pedigree dog,s look so alike, unless its actually your own pet that you live with it can be easy for someone else to make a mistake

It's kinda like a few years ago when I had six budgies. They all had another feathercolours. But my mother once asked me how I could know who was who... 🤔

I was sure something like that was about to happen. I'm an extra-sense, people! :D It really bugs me, though... How could you mistake a dog that's been sharing a house with you for 10 years? Father is really absent-minded.

Imagine when Nieves reaches home and smelled another dog in the house... He would be so disappointed that his most trusted family have an affair behind his back!
