Have you ever wondered what the plants in your house are thinking? Or maybe what your pets are trying to say to you? Or perhaps what the inanimate objects in your home are planning? Well, maybe these illustrations will help you figure it out.

Indian artist Adarsh known as Lazyleafcomics (formerly Adudraws) started to create adorable, colorful, sweet, and wholesome cartoons to lift people's spirits and make their days better. Adarsh is a Geology Ph.D. student; however, he's thinking of quitting science and pursuing art after he's done with his degree. The artist mentioned that the illustrations and the process of creating them bring him so much joy that he wants it as a career.

Not only are his illustrations beautifully drawn, but they are also very funny, punny, and have unexpected twists!

Adarsh told us what inspired him to create these adorable illustrations: "I have always loved cartoons since I was a child. I used to make simple cute illustrations but got bored of it. I wanted to tell a little story or send a message through them. So I started making comics."

The artist told Bored Panda what the main goal of his illustrations is: "I try to make comics and illustrations which entertain people, give them joy, and hopefully make their day a little bit better if they are having a tough time."

Adarsh shared how he got into art in the first place: I was watching some anime series during my masters and one fine day, I just had this question of how they make these digital cartoons. I researched a bit. Got to know about drawing tablets, bought the cheapest one, and started experimenting. Before I knew it, I was already obsessed with making cartoons."

"The most difficult part for me is probably the sketching phase. A blank canvas can be intimidating. It can be sometimes difficult to put down what is in your head onto the canvas," said Adarsh when asked about the difficulties of creating art.

"I try to make funny and wholesome comics. Topics can range from something lighthearted to more serious themes like depression, self-love, anxiety, etc." Adarsh described his stylistic as "big eyes, bold lines, and bright colors!"

"I started creating the comics seriously in 2019 and I plan to do this as long as I can. What inspires me to move forward is knowing that people like my comics and also because I thoroughly enjoy making them."

Adarsh gives advice to people who want to start creating comics themselves: "I'd advise them to just start doing it. You don't need any fancy equipment. Even pencil and paper works amazingly well! Don't let equipment be a barrier."

Adarsh told us more about himself, his life, and his journey: "I grew up in Mumbai. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in geology along with freelancing as an artist. At the moment, it is tough handling my studies, my page, client work, and personal life. I started making these comics during one of the worst phases in my life but it's gotten a lot better lately. Future goals are bettering myself and self-love."

I don't know why everyone is getting all bent out of shape by whether the ice creams are supposed to represent genders or not. The first thing I noticed was the first date had extra toppings (ie. dressed to impress), but by the 128th date, they were comfortable enough with each other to just go with what they liked, even if that was just plain and simple. (Not everything is about genders people!)
