I am Violeta from Lithuania, and I live in the second-largest city, Kaunas. I am a mother to two wonderful boys and what I love the most is creating jewelry and toys. This is both my hobby and a job that I've been doing for 18 years now. I have also written a book about jewelry from textiles.
Below, you will see some of the cute toys that I made from children’s drawings. I really like children’s imagination (sometimes adults too) and have a lot of fun making toys for them.

I will start from the beginning. My interest started in childhood. When I was little, I made many toys for myself. When I was 9, my mother taught me how to knit and crochet. Then I started knitting clothes for dolls and my handmade toys. At school, I took an art exam in the 12th grade and the topic was sewn toys. During that exam, I predicted my future because I did not study sewing, but wood design and technology. But materials and threads have always interested me, reminding me of good pastimes and relaxation. When I had kids, they started drawing all kinds of criss-cross patterns. After seeing one of these drawings, I couldn't resist. The idea that it must be a toy immediately came to mind.
Later on, I showed my work to friends which they liked and it has escalated since then. Now my toys travel to various corners of the world.
Awww, this is incredibly sweet. I love the imaginations of children.
This one would look so cute on my desk! A little friend to keep me company while writing :)
A Dios Sea La Gloria!
God bless anyone reading this! Hope you have an awesome day! Seek him while you can! Jesus is the way and the only way and he is returning soon! Whenever you think you aren't loved... Remember the ultimate sacrifice was for love! ENDING YOUR LIFE IS NEVER THE ANSWER! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV The wages of sin is death (hell) but Jesus paid our debt on the cross, for our salvation! We must turn to God and away from our sinful ways, Confess Jesus is Lord and believe with our hearts that he was risen from the dead by God, and we must be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit and live by His word and Commandments! Trust that God will help with the rest! Seek God today before it's too late! To God Be The Glory!
Every time, the drawing is different and it demands special attention to detail. If it's a small toy, it can be made in one day. And if it's bigger and children draw many more elements, it might take two or three days. Sometimes it takes a long time to find the right thread colors. Perhaps even the longest process is the search for threads.
Unfortunately, I do not get to see children with my toys and their reactions since they are shipped by mail. But sometimes I get pictures of happy children, and even in the pictures, you can see how their eyes are shining. This is a great compliment and feels heartwarming for me.
There is no such as a favorite toy since they are all so unique. Everyone goes through their own challenges, and every toy has its story. Some share their stories and it becomes even more interesting to crochet the toy since I get to know a few facts about the author and the history of the drawing.
This one kinda gives me the creeps. I mean the drawing and the figurine are both really well done, but also somewhat creepy...
This is the first post ever that I upvoted all the submissions. It was great and both artists have talent!
same. I was iffy about the one clearly drawn by an adult. The drawing of the guy, but I mean both artists were still impressive. But that was the only one I questioned
Load More Replies...So cool! What do you do with the toys after you've made them? I can imagine how surprised and excited most kids would be to see their drawings come to life, so to speak.
I'm thinking that the parents send her their kids drawings to order a toy, and then she makes it and mails it to the kid. I'm sure they love them!
Load More Replies...My son with autism would love this! He draws his own characters and I think he would be amazed to see them brought to life. Lovely work!
You should give crocheting a try, then! This is kind of how I started getting into it, too. I knew absolutely nothing about crochet but decided on a whim to make a stuffed animal for someone I cared about a lot. I learned all the stitches as I needed them. It didn't turn out to be perfect, but somehow I still managed to complete the project and I was able to make a loved one very happy with it. It's an amazing skill to have, you can make a huge variety of things, give handmade gifts to your loved ones and it's really relaxing too!

Thank you for asking this. I crochet and can only manage blankets that make me look marginally talented.
