I like my dog and all, but Tonkey’s rise to fame has got me wondering what she’s got, that I don’t. 8 weeks ago I created Tonkey her own Instagram account for the sole purpose of making friends myself. The way it was supposed to go down: post photo of cute dog, cute dog attracts good-looking friends, good-looking friends want to hang out with me.

But I’ve created a monster— like Victor to Frankenstein— and now Frankenstein’s famous, leaving her creator alone in the shadows. I want to wish my dog nothing but the best in her future endeavours…but it’s tough when your cuddle buddy has left you to eat her dust.

If I could say one thing to my dearest Tonkey, it would be this: I love you, dogchild, don’t forget we started from the bottom; I am trying my best to be happy for you.

    I hope you wont stop posting pics of Tonkey. I would want to meet you as well. You are blessed with an adorable pup.     I totally get where you're coming from. I started a blog about my dog thinking it'd be cool to show her off even more than I normally do and document our adventures, however, she's clearly the luring piece.     Actually the mad scientist who brought the monster to life was called Victor Frankenstein and the monster remains nameless throughout the whole story, so "like Victor to Frankenstein" is not correct. You could rather say "Like Dr. Frankenstein to his monster" but of course that won't sound as cool, but then again you're wrong. (Apart from that, cute dog!)

    OMG I just died! Tonkey is killing me, that face!!! I saw her pic when searching for Teddy Bear dogs. I just learned that it was a 'thing'. I was looking for Teddy Bear palm trees and got well you know sidetracked.

    I know a few Char Pei Breeders of traditional and horsehair and none of their animals were furry like Tonkey. Cute as she is she's definitely a mix.
