This is what the Iditarod pups eat during the race, it’s fish head soup. It may sound disgusting to us but it’s delicious and nutritious for dogs

Right, so cute. https://www.adn.com/outdoors-adventure/iditarod/2022/03/25/3-iditarod-finishers-receive-penalties-for-sheltering-dogs-indoors-during-fierce-windstorms/ The dogs mean nothing to the officials if this is their attitude. F**k Iditarod.

The Iditarod is not cute. Dogs deserve far better than a life of being chained and cruelly being forced to endure intense cold and pain. Inhaling their own vomit is the leading cause of death for dogs who die while running the race. The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine reported that more than 80 percent of the dogs who finish the Iditarod sustain persistent lung damage. Let's see people trek this artic hell and leave the dogs out if it. Nobody would show up! Thousands of dogs are bred each year for sled racing. These dogs are chained up with only a plastic barrel for shelter in sub zero temperatures. The Iditarod is nothing more than animal cruelty for sport. Stick your "Cute Pictures" up your cruel bum. While only a few dozen dogs raised for the race will ultimately be deemed fit enough to compete, many more will be kept tethered and chained for most of their lives, some with nothing more than dilapidated plastic or wood crates as their shelter. Sick, sick, sick.
