The Devir Family Welcomed Their Son Into The World, Here’s How It’s Going In 17 Funny Comics
Relatable. Hilarious. Wholesome.
Legendary comic artists Yehuda and Maya Devir, from Israel, needs no introduction: the husband and wife team is a force of nature in the art world and their webcomic ‘One of Those Days’ is well-known throughout social media, sporting 5.5 million followers on Instagram alone. The couple documents their everyday life and fun parenting adventures with their two children, daughter Ariel and newborn son Ethan, through colorful, expressive, and dynamic illustrations.
They have a style that’s instantly recognizable, grabs your attention, and doesn’t want to let you go. But most of all… their stories hit you deep and hard because of how much we can relate to them. Isn’t that right, dear Pandas?
Have a look at some of the best new comics drawn by Yehuda and Maya below and let us know what you think of them! When you’re done scrolling, we invite you to open up Bored Panda’s most recent features of ‘One of Those Days’ comics right here, here, and here.

Trust is the foundation upon which any successful and happy long-term relationship is built. And it looks like Yehuda and Maya trust each other with all of their hearts and souls.
I reached out to relationship expert Dan Bacon, from The Modern Man, to get some insights into how to (re)build and maintain trust in any serious relationship. According to him, trust is something that’s given but cannot be micromanaged. It’s up to the other person to take care of and respect the trust given to them while not being pressured into doing so or regularly reminded of it.
“You need to give the other person your full trust and let them be responsible for taking care of it. It’s not something that you need to micromanage. It’s up to them to take care of the trust you have in them by being trustworthy, without feeling any pressure coming from you,” Dan told Bored Panda.
The reality of parenting often isn’t pretty… but it sure is relatable

“Essentially, you give your full trust and then have faith that the other person will do the right thing. To rebuild trust, a couple can start from scratch by giving each other their full trust and then having faith that the other will take care of and respect that trust, without being pressured to do so,” the expert explained to Bored Panda.
“If a person feels like they are being pressured into being trustworthy, or are being micromanaged to prevent breaches of trust (e.g. having to give the other person access to their phone, email, or messages), resentment will build. In some cases, it can then result in a person becoming disloyal to spite the other.”
Kids will be kids! Raising children is always a fun challenge when you’ve got the full support of your loving partner

Back in February, Yehuda and Maya told Bored Panda how the lockdowns in Israel affected their family. Their daughter Ariel’s daycare had to close as well, so they had to hire a babysitter to look after her while they worked.
“Like everyone else, we too have not been able to escape the limitations of the pandemic, and we need to be very creative in order to continue working in this situation. We have transformed our lectures and workshops, taking them online, and we make sure to appear in online events as much as possible,” Yehuda told my colleague in an interview.
Yehuda and Maya also drew a bunch of comics inspired by the recent Olympic Games

The couple had been very busy during the lockdowns. They published a new online series about their private creative world, as well as a new book. Yehuda, who is an incredibly hard worker who “makes the ants look lazy,” has been in love with drawing since his childhood when he started painting on his bedroom walls. Comics from the US had a strong influence on his style.
Meanwhile, his realism-focused wife, Maya, collaborates with him on the comics. “Usually after something interesting … happens to us, we tighten the concept and do a few composition sketches. After that, I sit down and start working. When I finish, Maya adds her suggestions for improvement, suggesting color, typography, and so on. All of this process takes no more than a day,” Yehuda explained the process behind their illustrations.
The couple said earlier that once their firstborn, Ariel, was born, they had to change their priorities completely. “There is no more couple, no more team at work… only Ariel. It’s a new life and we’re getting used to it. But not in a bad way. This experience is going to create a new and better us,” they said earlier. And now their family has grown further, with the birth of their son, Ethan.
Here are a couple of photos showing the couple with their son, Ethan, after he was born

Share on FacebookMe too. I skip all the comics on BP because I hate them, except this one and Pixie and Brutus
Load More Replies...So true! I have tried several comics on BP and these and Pixie and Brutus are by far the best.
Don't forget those sad animal comics, can't remember the artist, but the one with death and the animals.
Oh I read one reaper comic, and although I appreciate how good it was it was way too sad for me
I used to like their comics, now most of them are (naturally) about being a parent and I don’t care about that.
I feel exactly the same as you. I mean, it's okay if they have baby content, but there should be more balance between that and content without children.

Off you go then and make your own cool artwork about your fascinating life.
And above all of that: you don’t even pay them for looking at the drawings. (Is an answer to Josh Tall)
Ha! I used to love their comics too and now as a mom of a toddler myself, I can relate and thank you very much. It's neither a pretty nor a funny sight. This newest batch is just about peeing, farting, pooping, living in a mess and dirt, looking tired and being flatmates...
Yeah real life sucks for those who with to remain children all their lives. Try Nickelodeon comics for something more your speed😊
Well, they’re adults, and it happens to most people. Other people have different experiences. This is what the creator of the comics and his family are experiencing. It’s just the way life is. You’ll find that out as you mature.
Yes, they're adults and they can draw whatever they want. It is just not for me anymore. I wasn't demanding them to change their life to fit my taste. It's ok. For some people being a parent is not desireable. It's just the way life is. You'll find that out as you mature.
Their comics are clearly titled all the time. You have the choice to not open.
Just to inform you, I'm an adult lawyer with a monstrous hate on babies, not some Greenhorn child, ok? I have matured and never even felt an itch of a baby wish.
It's the hate on babies for me, like look at this "mature" lawyer hating on little defenceless beings😂😂
I enjoyed the real-life photo, to find out that yes, he really does look like that.
I like Yehuda and Maya drawing, they're very talented, but seriously this and the other content on bp about parenting (tweets etc) makes me never want to have children. I mean really, is it all about peeing and pooping an farting, and parents don't having their life anymore?
OMG I can't even tell you how much I love these, hulk and unicorn and the friends thing...ugh just love them!!!!
Awww yaaayyyy!! I love this couple and the way they are portrayed. I've been following them for years.
I've been reading this and didn't know how to reply. I can relate too, marriage is a full time affair, With the help of GOD and unmitigated love you'll reach milestones and look back with tears of those days gone by. These comics are spot on and historic.
I am so happy for you guys on the birth of your son! Congratulations!
Is it just me, or in comic strip #4, she looked a lot similar to Katara frowning from Avatar: The Last Airbender?
The comics really ruined your day Whaaaaaaaaah

I can't tell if you're purposely trying to be a jerk or if you're just one of those clueless, self-centered types who thinks we're all entitled to your opinion...either way, you come across as a first-class ponce. Have a nice day.
Before posting a comment about someone's artwork, it's always good to ask yourself this: Is my comment complimentary or criticizing? If it's criticizing, is it constructive criticism or just being rude & nasty for the sake of being rude & nasty? If it's the latter, don't post it. Nobody is saying you have to enjoy the comics or that your opinion is invalid, but you can at least be respectful. Some thoughts are better kept to yourself. Don't they teach that in elementary school?
Okay -- it's pretty clear from your comments that you're a ponce just trying to stir up trouble. Maybe you should take a break and get some fresh air rather than type that pointlessly inane and self-absorbed comment you're planning...
And you’re not constructively criticizing the art, you’re just making what sounds like a jealous personal attack on the people. So, not an opinion.
Marcus: we all saw your comments before you deleted them, and excerpts gave been quoted in response to you. It doesn't have to be a big deal. But deleting ur comments and trying to make out like you never said it is not very mature. I find it abhorrent, one might say ^-^
Nope, just a fellow artist who knows how much it sucks to get hateful comments. If I was trying to curry favor, wouldn't I have posted my own complimentary comments? Hint: My only comments here have been replies to you.
