We Make Wordless Comics That Show That Life Can Be Pure And Simple (30 Pics)
My name is Chow Hon Lam. I'm a self-taught artist. Because of my family's financial issues, I didn't have an opportunity to get into an art school. About 20 years ago, I started my artistic journey in a small design house as a part-time FA artist. And I've been slowly learning and improving my skills ever since.
I used to have a dream of becoming a comic artist but at some point, I'm not sure when, the dream had gone without saying "bye". I've never expected that after 20+ years, my dream would come back and knock on my door. In 2018, I created a comic series called Tu and Ted with my friend, Roey Li. We were so lucky that we got 2 publishers to publish our comic book in two different languages in 2019. Everything happens for a reason; life is full of surprises.
Recently, I created Tu and Ted's childhood stories with cute animal costumes inspired by my 2-year-old niece. She is always so pure, fearless, and happy. Sometimes, we need to learn from the kids. Life can be so pure and simple. It is great to have them around (有你在可真好呀)!

Besides this series, I'm also working on another series called Buddy Gator (which you might have seen on Bored Panda if you’ve been here long enough!). It is a story about a heartwarming alligator and his friends. I hope that when looking at my comics people can squeeze a smile, after all, life is full of surprises and hope.
Never Too Late
Free Hugs
I have created a few comic series before, and as I mentioned before, my favorite is Buddy Gator, which started about 2 years ago. This series has currently received more than 1 million followers from major social networks. I always try to spread positive vibes through my comics, I believe these things can make our world a better place. Hope more people will join me and make the same thing, let’s all spread good vibes!
Watering
I received so many comments about my comics, of course, they are mixed, some positive and some negative ones, but it is totally ok to me. I once received a message from someone who was feeling depressed, she said she feels better after reading my comics, and that message stood out to me because I never expected that my comics can help people feel better even in their darkest times.
Fun Nature
Doo Doo Doo Doo
For those who are interested, and would love to try making their own comics, try to draw/create more, practice always makes better. And as for me… I personally love manga a lot, if I get the chance, in the future, I would love to try drawing a manga style like Naruto.
Talking a little bit more about myself, well, I love movies, working out, and traveling, but the pandemic made us not able to travel in the past 2 years. With that being said, we are hoping to catch up and travel more from now on!
Meteor Attack
So Long, My Friend
Costume
Yikes, I don't know about this one. The snake ate the pig, that's pretty dark.
