Our soft can-opener loves the rectangular thing.
"I started my comics and illustrations as a way to mimic my cat's naughty attitude (that's how the name "bichi.mao" was born). My main motivation is to spread positive energy to people in a funny and cute way," the artist shared with Bored Panda.
Since she was young, Olive has loved drawing with pencil and paper, especially creating realistic portraits. Although she didn't have a formal education in digital arts, she never imagined becoming a webcomic artist. Instead, she studied Music in Education. It wasn't until Olive discovered digital drawing through the Procreate app that she then shared her work on social media, where she quickly gained a large following. Olive is grateful for her fans' support.
"Their encouraging and kind words mean the world to me and drive me to continue creating," she said. Many fans reach out to express how her art and comics have positively influenced their lives.
Olive adores cats because she finds them cute and loves their unique personalities. Her comics mix humor with real-life moments, sometimes showing more serious topics. The artist believes in spreading kindness and awareness through her art to make the world better. "I like to share my thoughts on specific subjects to raise awareness among people, aiming to make the world a bit more compassionate."
Even though freelancing can have its ups and downs, Olive wouldn't want to do anything else. She says she's okay with the uncertainties of being a freelancer. The artist is happy and proud to keep drawing comics and illustrations.
I... I mean... technically the lower-left kitty is still covering their nose and mouth, so... XD
I mean, when you are a cat, that is pretty good advice since cats are perfect.
It is okay, kitty. You don't need makeup. You are a kitty, which means you are already perfect.
*Looks up from BP & smiles at hubby* - There! Spent less time on social media 😁
