When thinking about fluffy cute animals, we might imagine a kitty, a fox, or even a panda. There is, however, a breed of fluffy cows whose babies are as adorable and as heart-melting as other baby animals mentioned above—the Scottish Highland calf.
Let’s introduce the cutest cows, the Highland calves! This Scottish long-haired cow breed stands out from the rest because of its luxurious coats. The fine double fur consists of an oily outer layer—the longest of any cattle breed—and a downy undercoat. This feature makes the Highland cow calf ideally suited to harsh weather conditions in Scotland, where heavy rains and strong winds are frequent. It also means that Scottish baby Highland cows are the cutest little moos ever!
Bored Panda has compiled a list of these irresistible fluffy baby cows you’ll definitely feel the urge to cow-ddle! Scroll down to enjoy the pictures and vote for your favorite ones!

Fluffy Highland Cows Are Farm Animals, Not Pets
The Highland cow-calf, or “mini moo-moo,” charms everyone with its small size, cute face, and playful behavior. While highland calves are adorable, caring for them requires careful attention to nutrition, health, and growth. Despite the appeal of having a Highland calf, it’s essential to consider their needs for space, care, and dedication. Hence, these cute baby cows should be treated as farm animals, not pets.
Additionally, the Highland cow baby should not be confused with the miniature Himalayan cow, as they belong to distinct breeds with unique characteristics and origins.

These cute creatures are one of the reasons why I simply can't eat meat
Isn't it horrifying and sad that they are all labeled and numbered solely for us to eat and taken advantage Of?
In our current state, yes. I live in America & I don't eat meat, I don't want to push this on others, but my country way over-consumes...so I'd like to see us at least have better farming practices & smaller levels of daily consumption on an individual level. No one needs the amount of meat consumed in the average daily American diet.
Load More Replies...Just be wary of approaching these babies out in the wilds of Scotland, their mothers are psycho protective. We have tourists injured and killed every year by highland cows.
If you smile at these beautiful creatures, ask yourself, why would you pay for them to be murdered (if you do)?
Because they're tasty. They wouldn't have been born if not for meat.
Load More Replies...Please dont sell them and make canned foods out of these cuties.. This is depressing..
I'll never become vegetarian. I'm a carnivore to the core. But damn these are some cute cows! <3
And you f*****s are going to fill your burgers with them, SO CUTE!!!
They must be really fluffy! I also bet they love to chew on people's jumpers. As far as I know that is what cute calves usually do. I wouldn't mind, of course, they are so lovely!
aah! gaaaahhh!! OOOHHHH!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! gggnnnnnnhhhhh!!!! OOOOOOOOO!!!!!
This is why I stopped eating meat. We see the cuteness, innocence of the babies. But we are blind to what happens to them, what their purpose is. "Outstanding Beef Quality: Unlike other breeds, Highlands are slow maturing making the meat tender, flavorful and succulent. In a study at Manyberries Research Station, Canada, groups of Hereford, Highland and Highland/Hereford crosses were tested. The Highland group produced 2000 pounds more beef than the Herefords. The Highland/Hereford crosses produced 6000 pounds more than the purebred Hereford group." https://www.highlandcattleusa.org/viewarticle.aspx...
Just returned from visiting Scotland. They called these cows "Cops. Loved Scotland!!!
I bet they are so tender if they are butchered at a very young age. Yummy.
I cannot believe these adorable furry babies are real!!! I thought they were stuffed animals.. I want to buy one...
Thank you Bored Panda for posting these beautiful innocent babies and then to be sent to slaughter shortly thereafter. All you people saying how cute they are, please wake up. There's nothing cute about animal agriculture. Send these babies to sanctuary.
when i saw those pic, me be like "How can i eat something so cute for all this time?"
Oh my God I'm in love. I'll just have about 45 please to look after! :)
Oh my gosh they are so fluffy and cute and awesome and oh my gosh! :33
I was feeling very sad after a tough day with my mom at the hospital, and these cute pictures cheered me up a bit. :) Thanks!
they are cute but not as soft and cosy as you think. 20 years ago my parents used to have these cows and their fur is pretty wiry and gresy.
Well, pandas are also known for having a wiry fur, but really, why should you spoil the heart-melting list? Even a wiry fur is great for cuddles!

Dear attention seekers: Please do not turn this into some kinda "meat is murder" lesson. We came for cows, not a lecture. Sincerely, everyone
Dear hypocrites: stop saying how cute, fluffy, awwww OMG so cute these cows are, while you're having your burgers. Sincerely, me.
Load More Replies...They all look like cold, little animals to me - with nothing even resembling a smile amongst them. Survival does not indicate that they are 'happy' with a short downy coat topped by a thick oily one. How about building them a non-draughty barn with lots of dry bedding and access to outside if they choose to go?
