When thinking about fluffy, cute animals, we might imagine a kitty, a fox, or even a panda. There is, however, a breed of fluffy cows whose babies are as adorable and as heart-melting as other baby animals mentioned above—the Scottish Highland calf.
Let’s introduce the cutest cows, the Highland calves! This Scottish long-haired cow breed stands out from the rest because of its luxurious coats. The fine double fur consists of an oily outer layer—the longest of any cattle breed—and a downy undercoat.
This feature makes the Highland cow calf ideally suited to harsh weather conditions in Scotland, where heavy rains and strong winds are frequent. It also means that Scottish baby Highland cows are the cutest little moos ever!
For an extra dose of fluff and cuteness, take a look at our feature on baby Highland cattle calves, which are guaranteed to brighten your day.
Bored Panda has compiled a list of these irresistible, fluffy baby cows. You’ll definitely feel the urge to cow-middle! Scroll down to enjoy the pictures and vote for your favorite ones!

Fluffy Blep
Doesn't even look like a real animal. Looks like a really cute, fuzzy stuffed toy. Either way I want one. :)
This is one of the cutest calves I've ever seen. I've seen Highland Cattle in the adult form but never these adorable little ones. Oh wouldn't it be wonderful to have some here in Maine

whole class when you open that chewing gum packet in school.
Load More Replies...They are required in some states to show proof of origination and vaccination. I have a few goats from other states that came with them. They honestly don't seem to mind them.
So want to plant a big kiss on this adorable little creature... I hope my future includes breeding a herd of these little floofs, for fun, not meat. I've heard their milk is extremely rich.... mmmm.
Sleepy Highland Calf
Those awful yellow things! Boo hoo...I don't understand, therefore is bad. It's no worse than a pierced ear in a human. But this allows for each calf to be identified for its vet exams. You know, to keep the cutie healthy? Because most cows are for dairy, and the farmers do everything to keep them happy & healthy.
For some farms that might be true. A lot of them are nothing like you make them out to be. I am giving the address of a video I would like people to watch. If you want you can keep drinking milk but I think that people should know what is happening before they make up their minds about veganism and eating meat. It is your choice but make sure you know who you affecting in your choice and if you don't care than there is nothing I or any other vegan can to to stop you. And do you really think that people pay for THOUSANDS of dairy cows to go to the vet? https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5&v=PDgt9TlVSyg Watch it, please, before you make up your mind. Veganism is easy if you give it a chance. ; - )

Fluffy Highland Cows Are Farm Animals, Not Pets
The Highland cow-calf, or “mini moo-moo,” charms everyone with its small size, cute face, and playful behavior. While highland calves are adorable, caring for them requires careful attention to nutrition, health, and growth. Despite the appeal of having a Highland calf, it’s essential to consider their needs for space, care, and dedication. Hence, these cute baby cows should be treated as farm animals, not pets.
Additionally, the Highland cow baby should not be confused with the miniature Himalayan cow, as they belong to distinct breeds with unique characteristics and origins.
Fluffy Grey Cloud
Is this what happens when Shrek has a cow?? (That sounded better in my head... really, it did.)

I still can't understand why they put these things in my ears.....
Adorable Fluff
I think that's mummy or the emo big sister: cows' horns point up and out to the sides, bulls' horns are shorter and point forwards.

Fluffy Blep
Um you do know that not every cow with a tag in its ear is being used for beef and on the flip side some of them without the tags get eaten right or did I just ruin your bubble?
A lot of times the tags just indicate that they've been vaccinated for various things

These cute creatures are one of the reasons why I simply can't eat meat
Isn't it horrifying and sad that they are all labeled and numbered solely for us to eat and taken advantage Of?
In our current state, yes. I live in America & I don't eat meat, I don't want to push this on others, but my country way over-consumes...so I'd like to see us at least have better farming practices & smaller levels of daily consumption on an individual level. No one needs the amount of meat consumed in the average daily American diet.
Load More Replies...Just be wary of approaching these babies out in the wilds of Scotland, their mothers are psycho protective. We have tourists injured and killed every year by highland cows.
If you smile at these beautiful creatures, ask yourself, why would you pay for them to be murdered (if you do)?
Because they're tasty. They wouldn't have been born if not for meat.
Load More Replies...Please dont sell them and make canned foods out of these cuties.. This is depressing..
And you f*****s are going to fill your burgers with them, SO CUTE!!!
