Where do people store this stuff all year? I barely have enough closet room for my clothes and shoes at my house?!?!?
Not only space, but how do they have so much money? Or if it's homemade, the time?
Load More Replies...Love all of these. Didnt realise the US took Halloween so very seriously. When I was a kid in the UK all I had was a big turnip lantern - and I had to go and dig it up myself from the nearest small farm. Like rock to carve out.
Look up Tilson street, it's where I grew up and the whole street goes ALL out. Very cool.
Load More Replies...That's one of the reasons I wish I lived in States. So jealous! Halloween is such a fun holiday!
WOW! These folks go all out on the décor! Excellent work, creativity and imagination here! Bravo to all of you!
Thank you! (From the guy who made #35, the giant skeleton)
Load More Replies...There used to be a DJ who lived a block or two away from us who would occasionally put up a flying saucer with music, lights and smoke coming out of it, complete with some aliens. It was awesome. Once while in middle school, it had a Bill Clinton theme. Two aliens were standing with a dissected Bill Clinton and there were signs outside reading "Take my wife, please!" "Monica, Help!" and "Why me? Al's the one who created the X-files." Unfortunately, a few weeks before Halloween fell that year, there was a huge storm and it took down the entire spaceship--leaving nothing but wood splinters. It never got repaired that year in time for Halloween. I miss that flying saucer. It was awesome.
Yes. It's not a federal holiday, so people don't get the day off, but towns typically set dates and times for trick or treating, and some hold events and dances. Salem, Massachusetts, where the Salem Witch Trials occurred is especially popular during the month of October.

This is a great list; I'm excited my giant skeleton (#35) made the cut!
Load More Replies...I’ve seen some pretty impressive decorations, but few were as grand as these! I do remember a coffin with a werewolf that would jump out, but that was the best I’ve seen in person. I myself live in the U.S., but also in an area where one can’t afford anything so elaborate, so seeing these is a real treat!
These are all awesome! It takes a lot of imagination and dedication to make it so great. I'm kinda jealous we don't celebrate Halloween in Greece!
I love halloween I have a lot of animatronic things so I don't put them out until the day of, but last year scared a dad half to death inadvertently... I have a sound activated spider and this guy was standing next to the door while his kids got their candy... they set off the spider which proceeded to drop directly on to this guys shoulder. He jumped Sky high and off the porch all in one movement... once we both realized what happened we were both laughing hysterically. I gave him a handful of candy for being such a good sport!
So creative and entertaining. Some people are so imaginative. Just a joy to see these.
this is great and it's super creative but do these people realize that after Halloween is over those decorations are coming down....or are they gonna keep it like that?
I'm thinking of just throwing a giant Santa hat on him and leaving him up for a while (#35, the giant skeleton)
Load More Replies...I'm impressed. Lots of creative (depraved?) people out there. I'm guessing my single plastic pumpkin wouldn't make the cut.
I adore the time between both holidays, like the nightmare before christmas!
