I think you missed my main point. You stated she should have to prefer doing it alone, not always true, and it would be hard on the child also not true. The decision is hers and her mans. But as I told her, make sure your life is in order. There is nothing wrong with having a child at a young age as long as you have the means to do so and understand the "sacrifices" of young adult hood. And I know there is more than partying in your 20's I was just using it as an example.

@Meowtown Age has nothing to do with it. I've seen 16 year olds that took care of their baby better than most women in their mid thirties. I've also seen women that waited well after they were 18 whose worlds fell apart when the baby finally arrived because they were so ingrained in their daily routines, they didn't know how to handle the unpredictability of a child. And then there were those women that waited too long to find out that when they wanted kids, they weren't able to have their own child and so they faced the long struggle of trying to adopt or use a fertility clinic to have kids. Yes I think women should be financially stable before having kids..but age has nothing to do with that...intelligence and maturity does.

I do not agree with you! You do not know what kind of life she has. "Soon" don't mean right now, and even if she had a child at 18 doesn't mean she will be a single parent and the child will suffer. She could have a great man with a great job to where they could afford to be a stay at home mom. And as for the 20's, some people are not into the "partying" stage. I had my first child when I was 18, yes my life wasn't in order like this but I was not a single mom, we busted our a*s and made sure we had everything for our child and I am no where sad about missing out on partying in my 20's. Family has always meant more to me.

Live Free, that’s nice for you and everything but it doesn’t mean it’s a smart decision for anyone. There’s more to having a life in your 20’s than partying. It’s not right to encourage this bad decision making.

Carol, you’re just factually wrong. Age is the number one factor and why teen pregnancy is discouraged. You do realize you’re encouraging a literal child to have a baby right?
