Oh for pity's... no hotel ever provides Bibles to people. A ministry called the Gideon's provide them to the hotels, free of charge (as well as to prisons, police, nurses, anyone who wants one) so that people can read it or even take it home with them if they want (or not, meh). The hotel aren't providing this instead of the Bible, they are just providing this and not accepting Bibles (or books of Mormon, or the Koran) to put in the rooms. No skin off their nose since none of it cost them anything to begin with.

But either way the hotel is making a statement, so the hotel definitely always has something to do with what's in the drawers.

Wonder how often they just leave the sign in place and don't actually clean there. Though with the number of stories of hotels not being cleaned between guests, this could be nice peace of mind.

If the toiletries are opened they have to toss them, they'd rather guests take them and use them then just waste them. Some places will actually toss them even if unopened, and it's hardly stealing since they're put out for you to use to begin with.

Good quote, but it doesn't belong to Nietzsche. That's the exact opposite to what he thought. To quote from "Morgenröte – Gedanken über die moralischen Vorurteile": "Crossed races always mean at the same time crossed cultures, crossed moralities: they are usually more evil, crueller, more restless.". So yeah, guy was preeetty racist.

That's so handy, as i always feel bad when my makeup ends up (somehow) on the white towels. Even though i take my makeup off with tissues or cotton wool pads, something always lands on the sparkly white towel.

Even if u use wet wipes or makeup remover somehow theres still enuf left to stain the towels.what a great idea!

I stayed in an AirBNB that had this same towel! It was so helpful because I always get makeup on the towels (no matter how much I wash).

Oooh I would totally use that to dry my hair! I dye it vibrant red, and I always leave streaks of pink on hotel towels after washing my hair. I'm pretty sure it can be washed out... I hope. My towels at home are dark purple, so I'm not completely sure...

BLOODY GENIUS! Especially with some of the lower budget hotels! Pros: Dirt cheap meaning more money for alcohol. Cons: last redecorated in 1971, still provides items such as, a mysterious trouser press, a TV with a bigger backside than your mother-in-law, a hair dryer that's power barely matches your own breath blowing room temp air and a kettle that holds approx half of a child's tea party sized tea cup of water.

But the point is that with the bathroom debate and some of the bathroom laws, some people can't use the bathroom that corresponds to their gender. Instead a transman would be forced to use the women's toilet; a transwoman would be forced to use the men's toilet.

Not to mention the vegetation they consume. They have been in our home in the thousands. Killed an entire $600 motor on our punch press. Bastards!

All respect to being "green" but many hotels in EU does the same think these days, and honestly i do believe it is more about cost saving - coz cleaning of 1 room cost them more, then voucher for free beer or vine or 6$ out from your bill... but lets call it WIN WIN

Yes, it's a great idea but it's for hotels to save on labor. The cost of cleaning a room with products and workers hours, cost way more than 6$. The hotels ive worked at would see a drop of about 20% in labor and product from these programs.

It appears to be a good idea but at the same time there is more then likely a staff member that could be losing out on hours just because I want to save $6.

We live in Germany, and my wife bought one with 7 Euro. I liked it firstly because it was medium-high quality, and the pressure and water spread was better than the old one. As the pressure was higher, I can safely say that it was free energy :)) (using a dynamo to generate the power, no batteries needed)

The same people who wash eggs to allow bacteria to come in and then refrigerate them to create humidity that allow more bacteria, thinking that this is very "hygienic". Honey is sugar, sugar is non-perishable, but a lot of people want to eat processed food who seem to be better because clear/white/always the same looking.

Raw honey is straight off the comb or simply separated by a centrifugal strainer. Pasteurized honey is heated to a certain temperature to kill any bacteria etc. after straining and before bottling. Most commercial honey is pasteurized (cooked!).

In the first one, if you look to right of the door (it's left) you can see the shower stall. So the door is closed in front of the toilet like a stall. In the second one the door is closed at the entrance to the whole bathroom. The door just swings from the entrance to the toilet.

I think the idea is more for using the sink while someone's is using the toilet. Good for that but for showering unless it's just a couple in the room, I'd use the close off the whole bathroom option.

I would think they would have a way to track it. Even still, most hotels will bill you for anything (beyond the typical toiletries) that were found to be missing from your room after checkout. Since practically every hotel requires a credit card, they just easily charge you for it.

I once stayed at a beach holiday house and they gave you a flip phone with free calls to use for your stay. One thing is, the numbers, photos, messages, etc that you make/send while you're there aren't deleted (unless you do it automatically) so anyone can basically see the numbers on the phone.

I don't really like the suggestive nature of this tag. My brother n I shared a hotel room and it would be SO weird to have this sign outside

These are not being printed. They are baked fast, both sides at once with very high heat. Its the same method fadt food restaurants prepare hamburger meat and pizzas in under 10 minutes.

I stayed at a hotel that had a 1-sided clock that looks like it was made by the same manufacturer, it was not casting any light at all, just an extremely subtle glow. Nothing to worry about.

I came across a shower like this in London. I thought the thing in the ceiling was a fan or vent...then I learned the hard way that it was the shower as I stood in the tub and fidgeted with handles/knobs.

Well, funny enough there's a debate for cats going on here. Of course, anybody could have done the research, but I took the work out for you. They do allow cats and they have a Feline Fun menu, offering things like 'fresh salmon, mackerel and sweet potato blend', 'pumpkin and apple fruitables treats', 'tripett - all natural tripe stew', the 'Rocky Mountain Feline formula in gravy'. Also ' chicken, homemade biscuits, a burger, and a purr-fect bowl of milk.' So yeah. They haven't been left out.
