Tal Peleg is an amazing makeup artist that can turn eyelids into works of magical art. The pictures she creates are very tiny, but full of detail and colors. Her art often features pop culture references from movies, TV shows, or scenes from fairy tales. Tal mentioned she finds inspiration anywhere, from animals and nature to social issues and mental health. Tal told Bored Panda: "I always loved art and makeup, so painting on the eye was my way of mixing these passions. I use the eyelid as a canvas to tell a story and to inspire people. I started many years ago by painting animals and fairy tales on the eyes, and over time, my eye art has become more and more detailed and challenging."

We got an interview with Tal and she told us more about herself: "I am Tal and I live in Israel. I'm married and have a 3-year-old son now. Art has always been part of my life and it's very important for me to create. My artistic journey is long, and the eye art project was the longest part—five years. Hundreds of hours. I'm very proud of it." Tal is currently working as a designer and trying out sculpting.

"I used to be a makeup artist and play with makeup a lot. At the beginning, my eye looks were more abstract, but over time, they turned more and more figurative and detailed. My favorite part was creating them, I loved every part of the process. My least favorite part was taking it off!"

Tal told us that she also loves photography, interior and graphic design, painting, drawing, and sculpting. Art is obviously a very huge part of her life. She told us more about the process of creating these eyelid looks: "First I need to think about an idea, and then I sketch it on paper. After that, I start to paint it on the eye using makeup. It takes about 3-5 hours, depending on how detailed it is. After I finish, I take many photos of it (eventually I pick the best one) and take the makeup off."

The artist also shared more information about the journey she went through to be this good at makeup: "I believe that people always keep developing, so it's hard for me to answer this question. There's no specific point when I felt like 'now I'm good enough!' I had good potential from the beginning, when I started to play with makeup as a teenager, and I kept on developing this skill. I think people can always get better... no matter how far they come."

Tal told us that she uses all the same makeup people use everyday—the same eyeshadows, liners, glitter, and brushes. She also said that surprisingly, she almost never wears makeup in real life, only for pictures. It takes a rare occasion for her to glamour up. She also revealed her favorite look: "The cat with the purple yarn is one of the first works and is very meaningful for me for several reasons."

"There were several reasons why I stopped. mainly because I felt it's best to stop at the top. I felt like after five years, I got a bit tired of it, and the need 'to deliver' to my many followers was sometimes too stressful. I got to the point where I felt like I was not creating from a pure artistic place anymore, like I should have," Tal told us after being asked why she stopped creating these looks.

Tal told us how being featured on Bored Panda helped her out: "Back in 2013, Bored Panda was one of the first magazines to write about my art, and I was so excited about it back then! It really helped my art to become viral and get more exposure, so I'm very grateful."

She has been featured on Bored Panda many times—this time, we decided to compile her most successful looks into one post.
