A sense of entitlement is a personality characteristic that's not exclusive to spoiled kids. The belief that you deserve special treatment or recognition for something you haven't earned can be quite universal.
And the subreddit which we will call 'Entitled Batch' can prove it — this online community is dedicated to shaming people who think they can always get their own way and are better than everyone else.
The moderators, however, point out in its 'About' section that the sub "in no way intends to spread hate or abuse or to offend any party, it was created for story sharing and entertainment."
Since its inception in December 2018, it has amassed quite the collection. Here are some of the most popular posts that have appeared on the sub since our last publication on it.

If a person isn't behaving as badly as these folks and you aren't sure whether they might have a sense of entitlement, experts suggest going through the following characteristics and seeing if they apply:
- People with a sense of entitlement expect to get preferential treatment and special favors in life, without regard for why they should be treated specially. They assume "the world owes me." For instance, they might feel that the policies of an organization should not apply to them because they should be treated with special favors.
- Regardless of what they have, they strongly believe that they deserve more. They expect to elevate their lifestyle above that of others without putting in the effort needed to do so.

- When they reach a certain level of success, they feel that everyone should bend over backward to help them. If someone has a problem with them or does not agree with what they are doing, they will try to make the other party feel as if they are wrong and that it is a horrible thing to disagree with them.
- Their personal needs come before everyone else's needs. They believe that it is your job to ensure they have everything they need, even if this means that you have to sacrifice taking care of yourself.

That's not entitled. That is a business owner grateful she and her family won't starve or go on the dole. There is no reason at this point for businesses to remain closed. Even Gruesome Newsom goes out without a mask to fine dining establishments. It's only us "little people" that have to abide by the BS.

Y'all are all so stupid. It's a personal decision. We are entitled to decide for ourselves if we want the vaccine or not, OUR DECISION, not the government. I did get vaccinated and I support anyone who declines to get it. Texans and Floridians are not sheep blindly following big pharma. If you don't like it don't come to Texas or move out if you live here.

It isn't a straw man. People literally continued to catch and die from COVID because of businesses being open. Full commitment to shutdowns and relief for people who couldn't make ends meet would have hugely curbed COVID deaths, as well as people masking up and getting vaccinated.

It's true the stimulus payments were late and small. But front line jobs were still definitely operating and many were hiring. There was also a huge uptick in services offered by food banks, food pantries, and other community service agencies. Abbott's decision to ban mask mandates was dumb and dangerous. It absolutely didn't prevent anyone from starving.

- They are not grateful for what they have in their life. A person with a sense of entitlement may not say thank you or show other signs of appreciation for what they have. This is because they believe it is their right to have everything, so they don't value anything.

Well when common sense goes out the window, there's always Twitter polls.
- A sense of entitlement tends to be spread across their entire life. Someone who acts this way about one thing is likely to act the same way in other situations as well. They may be greedy or will take friends for granted instead of being appreciative.
- They act like victims and blame other people or outside forces for their problems. Again, someone with this attitude believes the world owes them and that other people are responsible for making their lives better.
But if you read through the list and remain unsure, look them up on the subreddit 'Entitled Batch'. If they're not here, maybe they aren't that bad, eh?

No, actually, no. Because these are prime examples of how we all are very much the same and just live in our own bubble. And it's good for people that live in very mediocre bubbles to see that other bubbles exist that are a whole lot different (and a lot less prevalent we hope). Just because it is not to your comfort, doesn't mean it can't actually grow your own sense of empathy towards others. And if it's too much. Skip it. But I can assure you there's a reason you didn't. These are wonderful examples to see how "most" people react to situations like these and how people that act like that are the ones to stand out from the masses. You are looking for confirmation and you got it.

Waiting at the dealership for my car service, sitting reading a magazine. I guess I "thought" people knew that a magazine, open and face-down in the chair means that I've gone to the restroom. I come back, guy's sitting in the chair reading the exact article I had been reading. Yes, there were numerous other seats without open magazines in them. I realize I expect too much.
