Girlfriend Secretly Illustrates Everyday Life With Her Boyfriend, He Uploads Comics Online And They Go Viral (30 New Pics)
It's a long way from ‘it’s a match!’ to a match made in heaven. That path is full of ups and downs, as well as aspiring relationship goals. Take out that chewed-up pen you've had since high school and tick the relevant boxes: finishing each other's sentences that always carry a risk of sparking an argument; dressing up for couples’ costumes that neither of you like; calling each other sweet names that sound annoying to an outside ear.
There must be an easier way to zoom in on love. Catana Chetwynd's comic series is a pain-free answer to capturing the goofball side of every relationship. After her boyfriend John published Catana’s drawings of their daily life online, a solid fanbase of 2.9 million started following this happy little couple.
Scroll down for the fresh Catana Comics selection and get ready to copy and paste some bits to the chat with your significant other. There’s no reason why good things should come to an end, so get ready and set for a binge-reading session here and here, and everywhere!

Bored Panda spoke to Catana in order to find out how Catana Comics and the artist herself have transformed throughout the years. “Many things have changed since we began the comics! We've moved, had job changes, we've grown, and our relationship matured.” One thing surely stayed the same: “We love each other and have fun with each other every day.”
The artist feels that her drawing style has evolved quite a bit since her boyfriend published her work online in 2016. “As with many artists, as you draw, your style changes and you almost don't realize until you look back. I'm very happy with how the style looks presently and feel it's been consistent for a while now.” And it’s not only style that has evolved—Catana feels like she has matured. “My attitude towards life has also changed, as I think is inevitable as you get older. I've definitely matured (well... somewhat) and I'm happy with who I've become.”
When it comes to love, the little things are what really matter, and Catana believes that everyone should have more fun in a relationship. “I feel like in movies and media, relationships can always be so serious and sexy.” She adds, “There should definitely be some of that in there, but I think the fun, friendly, laughing on the floor, eating cereal together at 2 am moments should play a big part as well.”
The artist thinks that Catana Comics got so popular because it reveals how much we all have in common. “We often find that two people oceans apart, at very different ages, different languages, different lives, can both find something about the comics that speak to them.” In the end, “we’re all a little quirky, goofy, silly, and lovely.” We can’t agree more!
Awww... I feel the same way when I go on a holiday and I can't take my cat 😢😢😢
I understand her, "NO." As someone not trained as a hairstylist, just the thought of cutting someone else's hair scares me. I won't even try cutting my own hair, let alone, another person's hair. (Shudder.)
I can relate to this! With my kitty :) I was humming the other day and when she heard me she started purring; I realised it's because I often go over to her and sing her the pretty cat song (tune and lyrics ad lib) and give her pats :) and ima do it again right now!
I love love love those style of drawings! John Catana and Momo are ADORABLE! I love this, and I pray that you stay inspired!
Same! (WTF is Vicki going on about???)
Load More Replies...I think these are super-sweet. Wish I'd had a "Covid companion" like this.
Found the local commenter who comments at the end of a post saying how bad it was, even though they took the time out of their day to comment on it, and they probably read quite a few of the comics too. @S. Tor Storm, I think someone's a bit jealous.
