We all spent the quarantine differently. Nathalie Lété, for example, painted her country house. Caitlin Trantham transformed thrift store clothes into new outfits. And Marina and Antoine had been trying to come up with matching outfits for their future dates.

The two of them matched on a dating app and quickly hit it off, however, social distancing measures that France applied in order to flatten the coronavirus curve meant they couldn’t just go see a movie or enjoy a concert. So Marina and Antoine waited until the moment was right.

And it was worth it. They just had their first not-so-blind date — I mean, they were talking online for a few months! — and are officially dating now! In celebration of their relationship, Marina posted pics of their fashion prep on the subreddit r/aww. The adorable snaps quickly went viral, with over 123K people liking her post.

“We matched on the Bumble dating app, started talking during the lockdown and we actually got to know each other better thanks to a ‘300 questions’ document Marina found on Reddit,” the two of them told Bored Panda.

Marina and Antoine instantly clicked, and the more they talked, the more they were drawn to each other. “We started doing phone calls and eventually were video-chatting every day. Our feelings developed rapidly, which led to being really excited to finally meet each other physically.”

The great thing about this romance story of the digital age is that it had a happy ending. Or a second beginning. Call it whatever you like, but when Marina and Antoine finally went on their long-awaited first date, everything went great. “We felt so comfortable with one another,” they explained.

Antoine is a waiter, graphic designer, and DJ and Marina is a disability rights advocate (you can learn more about her and the amazing work she does on her personal website). The two of them can’t wait to spend more time together, all while wearing matching outfits, of course!

I wish this couple all the best... lovely that they were able to get to know each other via social media during the quarantine period and then finally met.
