Diana and her family own a small home in Oakland, CA. They had a garage that was nearly about to fall over in their backyard, so they decided to make a better use of the space. Since they have a small home, they figured that if they built something, it could have multiple uses. They use it as an Airbnb and as a guest house when friends and family come to visit. The most impressive part is that it has already paid for itself in 4 years, which means now everything they make is profit. They plan to continue to use it as an Airbnb while they’re children are young and then allow their kids to use it as a homework/hangout space when they get a little older. It’s so amazing how many functions one tiny space can have for a family and what an incredible way to create multiple streams of income for themselves.
